@@frankfestus114 Just because he is cheap don't mean he is shit, alot of the best players come from south america, look at brighton and the sucsess they have had, there are alot of quality players outside the top leagues and for a measly 20 mil you can't go wrong, lavia is overpriced although the talent is there he is worth about 35 mil max, but i'd rather see us go for somebody like a paulinha, or even a goretzka since he is on the market for a fair price considering the caliber of player.

Lavia has already showed quality playing in the Prem in a relegated side where as Andre is doing it in a far slower league and far less physical league so how can you tell if he's better than Lavia?

He's not worth £50 million. I don't want us overpaying for a player that is only 19 and has one year behind him in the PL. I also don't want us being held to ransom by Southampton who is now a championship side but still demanding top dollar for players in their relegated standing. People think you can't pick up a gem from different leagues for a reasonable price, and that you have to spend 40/50 million every time you buy a player.
Some of our best players in recent times cost us less than 10 million, the likes of Robertson and Coutinho, who we ended up selling for 140 million, enabling us to buy Van Dijk and Allison. That's good business and a good model to stick to. Screw Southampton, I think Andre will do fine and for a reasonable price too. Has Lavia shown glimpses of good play? Yeah, sure. But £50 million? Never.

He looks good in these highlights but you can’t judge someone from just highlights so I want to hear from people that have watched him play.
I'm brazilian and a big fan of André. He's a mix of both, with the ball have a complete view of the pitch, pass quality and always calm, but when he needs to recover the ball has a impressive quality to antecipate the other players and a lot of stanima for 90 minutes of a intense game like a Premier League has.
He reminds me Bruno Guimarães.

Sou torcedora do Fluminense, time em que ele joga, e sim ele faz isso tudo ai, defende, intercepta, joga até de zagueiro se precisar. Ele é muito bom em antecipar e interceptar as jogadas, fora a tranquilidade com a bola. Então para um 6 como vocês falam, ele faz a função bem. Em uns jogos do time ele é o unico dm de oficio, e os que jogam ao lado dele são CAM recuados para jogar na DM/CM, e mesmo assim ele se vira com essa galera que não sabe marcar.
