TDF man that engine is intoxicating and if you can pin the throttle wide open, man oh man that pulls my heart strings every time. Example Chris Harris driving through TDF at fiorano
One if the best car channels on RUclips! You really are because you bring content in a way that lets us hear the cars talk vs reviewer in a perfect proportion of 50/50. Thank you for your work and bringing new sparks upon our hot passion for cars!
Not to completely dismiss the specialness of a TdF, but can we take a moment to applaud the testicular fortitude to slap APE on the number plate of a very special Yellow Prancing Horse?
Even though I wont be able to drive it like it should - I´d take the TDF all day. Such a machine ...and then I would spend the rest of my life to try and drive it a little better everyday. Thanks for sharing .-)
Most people on the planet would not be able to drive it as it should, mainly because road use and track use (with so many other cars present) limits exploring its potential. But that should be no reason not to own one if you can; joy can come to people in a multitude of ways, and if your's comes from owning and driving one to the best of your ability, and through learning as you say to be ' a little better everyday' then you deserve to have one just as much as anyone else. Remember most buy these not to drive, but as proofs of wealth.
My 2 favorite modern Ferrari, 2 wild beauties that have their place in any good dream garage ! Thanks for this great video which highlights the charm of their naturally aspirated engines, so cool than the owner have let you drive them, it's a dream !
The relentless savagery of the TDF and go-kart like handling of the Speciale make them a joy to drive. But naturally aspirated V12 and V8 engines offer the drama that is just something else.
I have a CGT in addition to the TdF. Personally I have way more fun time driving the TdF. With the top on the CGT, the sound is as great. I use a valve controller on the TdF. Inside and outside, the sound is incredible on the TdFFor me, I have found the sound of the CGT to be liked more by observers than in the cabin. I would add that I do not drive the TdF with all systems off. Race mode is it. The learning curve is vertical…even compared to the CGT. I find the CGT to be more of a collector car than a road car. These are just my opinions and experiences for sharing. and thank you SCD for an incredible channel.
OMG the sound of that TDF is insane, what an absolute BRUTE. Speciale Aperta is more my type of car but it would still be difficult to pick it above a TDF
TDF is the first car we’ve driven in a long time that’s scared us. Guess it’s a good thing, makes a change for new cars to feel like that. TDF sounded off the charts. Thanks for watching
Good Job! Great photography and meaningful narration and enough time given to just listen to the cars. As for which I would want, I have both! My Tdf clearly is without equal and by far the most insane beast I have ever owned.
Just like your mate, I'd take both, thanks very much! My two favourite, modern Ferraris, even though my Speciale's roof would be fixed instead of retractable
HustlerTrickipedia but it’s more than double the car, to be honest I don’t even know why they’re even being compared to each other. It would be better to compare the 430 Scud with the GT3 RS, and even then it lays waste to it. The only 997 GT3 RS to have is the 4.0 and one of them in RHD is over £100k more expensive than a Speciale.
I was fortunate to be at the factory when they were building the tdf.. what a car. Whilst the open top of the Speciale makes fine amazing motoring, for me it has to be the tdf. All I want to know it's how can I get that sound out of my 575? 😁
Wow, that’s amazing work on the video production! Just found your channel and subbed due to this video! These 2 cars are my all time favorite modern Ferrari’s. The new stuff is cool too, but just not the same.
@@2manycars713 you sound like my kinda fella. Always been Ferrarista myself but unfortunately haven't got the funds to fulfil my dream yet. Driven 2 in the past both glorious but just normal V8 models. A F355 manual and a 360 Modena manual..
@@supercar.driver you must have really watched and read a lot of car vids/magazines when growing up. you have a beautiful, almost uncanny ability to relay the sensations, positive and otherwise, of driving and of the cars to your audience. the bonus is you manage to do this without being a yobo or a hyped up hooligan attempting to attract crowds with being. OTT. this in itself adds longevity to your videos, and makes them easy to watch. good on you. also thank you for the Scuderia video tip below...will head over to that video now.
The Scuderia is the special blend. And it sounds authentic. There's something so synthesised about the 458, especially the sound. It's also just too refined. I think a lot of that stems from the DCT. The leap from the F40 and F50 to these cars is big and I'm not sure it's in the right direction.
Love love LOVE the colour of the TDF, (is that Tour De France Blue?). Would love to see more Ferraris in that colour. Given the choice id have the 458 Aperta though. 9,000rpm with the roof down 👌🏾
Well done on a great video. For once a suitable stretch of road was chosen and the cars were pushed quite hard.Pleasantly enough we were treated to a view of the cars from the outside performing, and showing something of what they can do.Spruce up the dialogue, and show more scenes of the cars accelerating up from the lower speeds, and getting on to quite higher speeds and your on to a winner.Near perfection just mix in more of those things I mentioned and you should be hard to match.
The days of old when cars sounded exceptionally good. I hope Ferrari incorporates a sort of mechanical symphony with the components of their future electric cars, nothing fake like Ford is doing with their speakers.
The TDF of course......that car is what dreams are made of
It is!
Car need only less weigt
For me, the TDF is my ultimate car, 'the poster car' - I love the look, the sound, and the spec on this one is fantastic!
Gotta love a no stripe TDF.
But my stripe makes it feel special.
not sure why but it actually really suits the car

Best video I've seen in ages. Thanks.
Our pleasure! Thanks to Pete for making it happen
tdf for me - so practical and gives access to "Hatchback Sunday" breakfast club at Goodwood. Great video.
The sound is in another league too

Amazing video and cars!
Which car you would prefer 458 Speciale or something like a 997.2 RS from purely driving aspect und satisfaction?
458 SA, the 997.2 RS is good but it can’t hold a candle to the Ferrari

430 scuderia for me: it just makes you work harder. never driven a TDF but would have thought, at least by looking at them, the speciale was wider.
