U just arnt playing her right. Dog is op and should be used way more. The way your playing her is like a b tech anhur. Use dog and level dog. Use ult on them not on the floor etc
I'm not making fun of you or anything but your disdain for skadi cracks me up. I don't think she's goated or anything but she's like my 3rd favorite hunter and annoyingly she's my best hunter. When I realized I was better at skadi than my other hunters I went up from plat 2 to diamond 3 without breaking a sweat. That being said I like to build her aa focus but with heavy power mixed in cause kaldr just thrives sometimes. Like power from Transcendence with attack speed or crit and one defense item just works. You wanna max your 1 with intermittent points into kaldr. Your ult isn't for damage to me it's for reviving kaldr instantly during a fight. I try to call him back before he hits 2 hp unless he's on a minion that he's about to kill. 3 i really just use for movement speed to chase and escape. Relying on it to set somebody up to slide can be great but unless you're just reading somebody perfectly I find it to be wasted mental energy. I kill people with the 1 kaldr and autos. 3 and ult are almost just utility. 1 point in each until level 13. I'm sure better players have better advice but if you suck as skadi like I suck at smite I feel like that's the most straightforward way to just own people. Oh and kaldr needs to last hit minions and jungles when possible to stay healthy
I assume you eventually figured it out but 5 minutes in I just gotta say lol.. you want to use your dog on jungle and minions but there's a slightly weird attack priority on it. I think level 3 dog (might be level 5) heals to full when last hitting. If you pull first then sick dog on minions the dog won't get attacked unless you pull too far out of range kinda like Vulcan turret. It's a bit of back n forth juggling dog attack between your autos to keep him doing damage while not letting him stay dead. If you keep him up semi permanently alive he's literally a 2nd hunter doing like 80% of your DMG. Most gods cannot ignore that unless they are one shotting you before you can lay into them. It takes practice but it adds up so much if you figure out how to juggle it. That being said it might only be so strong for me cause I suck and kaldr doesn't miss autos if he's in melee 😂
Sorry I'm blowing this up at this point.. so the thing is kaldr is so much of your potential damage and doesn't care about crit attack speed or cdr. You could build her aa or ability but I feel like purely either is just a whiff. Her ult gives more kaldr uptime with cdr but the DMG for an adc is irrelevant and pretty much same with the 3. Building ability for her 1 is a waste in my experience cause it's a 1 and auto combo then done. Same logic with crit and attack speed not benefiting kaldr. I build her just heavy damage with whatever incidental stats help in the match up. Her slows get a lot out of qin sais and exe. I don't remember if frostbound is currently available on ranged but if it is that always feels great on skadi. Zerkers or shoguns. Honestly I peak played her around like s3 or s4 I think. I would just do trans bloodforge/gauntlet defense frostbound or fatalis shifters (obvi not around anymore but huge DMG or defense for double defense) ehhh slot 5 and 6 I really just did utility. Qins shifters winged blade witchblade magis it really didn't matter just depends on countering if you have some autos and base DMG your dog owns the crap out of people. Pretty sure my first Penta was skadi and it was an accident. She's probably not as good as she used to be but it's just learning to juggle the dog and our dpsing people. Probably the best counter to skadi is an AA bruiser cause each single instance of DMG from gods only 1 tick of kaldr health so high burst mages can blow their kit on a dog and get nowhere

Put ONE point into Kaldor for God's sake. Read the ability. If it's unleveled, it'll just walk to target. Put one point in, and it jumps to target. That's why you're eating it hard early game.

Here me out as a 4 star skadi. You build her like Medusa. Ability based. Level the 1, then 2, then 3, obviously your ult as often as you can. The whole point of the 3 is to displace them. Ideally, you catch them walking towards you and 3 them. As they're stuck sliding towards you, you 1 them, 2, then auto. If they try and get away (as your dog will eventually be at 0 health bars), you ult (which refills its health, roots, and buys time for your 3 and 1 to come up should you need them.) Since you built jotans and, hopefully, max cool down, it shouldn't be an issue. That combo kills basically anyone at any point in the game, provided you're similar in levels.
Also, utilize your dog a Jung camps for sure. At level 3 it gains a health bar each kill, and by 5, it is super tanky in wave as well.
In conquest, I go bluestone, jotans, fail-not (for a cheeky crit every now and again), crusher, and switch between duality or heartseeker depending on where I am in the match level and gold wise. Ideally, heartseeker 1st (for some much needed mp5 as you will have to manage your mana up to this point), but in duel since you can't go bluestone, start jotans and throw in beatstick, switch the fail-not for breastplate for max cool down. I use beatstick instead of crusher if they're owning cause of lifesteal but hate giving up the attackspeed and %pen. So, it's rare.
So, to sum it up, I love your videos. You're hilarious, amazing at the game, have taught me a ton of smite, but it's not the god. It's user error and not understanding her kit. ❤

I always level the 2 before the 3 because when I’m facing a Skadi the dog is so annoying it’s almost worse than Skadi herself

The 3 is best against melee characters when you use it defensively. Drop it under your feet and stay on top of it while fighting and the only way he can approach is with an ult or dash because he’ll just slip and slide around
Doesn't work against cc imune ult gods and beads divers . She stuggle a lot against leap gods too

I enjoy playing skadi because i like characters that make me manage stuff. So stuff like managing kaldr, plants as persephone (before her rework she was my favorite character ever and i haven't played her since.) and for a league of example zyra. I wish smite had more of these types of characters.

havent seen the whole video yet but i have played skadi with the heart seaker and added the new item let you proc ability damage items on auto attacks then built high attack speed and just demolished. It helps to get blue stone and crusher. Lots of yellow damage.
dog does extra damage to targets afffected by skadi 1. dog's dash attack also does more damage than a skadi basic attack when dog is leveled. dog gets increased attack speed when skadi's attack speed is increased. dog is also a wall.
also, max rank dog combined with the 1 means dog is doing 160% skadi basic attack damage.
Ya my fav about anhur is when he misses everything then pillars to get away or if he decides he can just win the fight after missing everything anyway cuz anhur
I personally love playing Skadi hybrid between ability and auto attacks. She’s still a hunter so her autos clap, but you still want lots of power and some cooldown.
I like items like jotunns, crusher, heartseeker, and asi. Good power, good pen, good attack speed, strong item effects, good lifesteal.

Hi Sam. I like to play Skadi with AA-based builds. Just personal preference-she slams with like jotuns and beatstick too. Bbetween the slow on her 1, the move speed buff on her ice, and the range of her ult, there is a lot to be said for fitting max cooldown into the build. However you build her, she should feel smooth and FAST.

I got some Advices with Skadi 4 u :)
Dog doesnt just tank phoenix or tower, if u got ult up, u have to use the ult (while dog is tanking Phoenix/tower) when dog is almost dead, then he gets to full health, thanks to ur ult, and it can tank 5 more shots :)
You almost Always start the fight with ur 1, throw an auto attack in and then u get the dog into the Fight, i dont care if dog dies in fight because he gets revived with the ult.
U can use dog for wave but also for buffs, just make sure u pull the aggro and not the dog, this way your dog wont get damage and is always helping you (he goes for the nearest Minion after it kills a minion, so you just have to call it once on a wave) the dog works just like a god so if dog hits the enemy god first, the minions are going to attack the dog :)
I think thats all i can say for now, if i remember something else, tell me if U wanna know and if i could maybe help u to understand skadi a bit :)

Personally, i save it during the fight to make sure its up if i wanna escape or if he tries to escape, so u can try to put the 3 below him, if u got him, gg if not, u can still chase and win with the extra speed ur gaining because u still run through ur 3 :)
After maxing ur 1, u max the 2, dog does way more damage and with 3 / 5 points he gets extra moves
What’s up Sam. So I’m a 9star skadi and chat had it right. Give her another shot but build her ability based while leveling her 1,2,3,4 or 3,2,1,4. After you have 1 point in all four don’t level the ult until lvl 17. Combo is 3,1,2. Ult is practically only used as an instant revive for kaldr. Hope this helps!:)

Dog takes 2hits per hit point while on ice. 5 hit points on dog. But on ice it's like he has 10. Ability build and health items. Use dog to tank. Skadi can out trade so many gods man
You wanna hit your 1 and then mark them for dog, when dog is lv1 they leap for 120% basic atk dmg or smth

I’m a big fan for years man I started playing smite because my friends were playing it and I watched you play kumbha back in like season fucking 2 haha he was actually decent back then. Once he got nerfed everyone stopped using him but I still use him to this day he’s my most played god after Poseidon
Anyways kumbha is really a support character I mean you have a root and a mezz and a knock up AND your passive basically gives you a second chance if you have teammates around who are willing to take the auto attacks and fend off the enemy long enough to respawn.

If I'm playing full power skadi, i usually send my dog in to die asap. When kaldir dies, skadi gets engaged and gets (i think 10%?) Extra power. If you combine that power with a 3 and a 1, maybe even a hydras for the aa cancel with her 1, she can do big numbies. Otherwise, attack speed and movement speed is your best friend. Kaldir scales off those 2 stats, (scaling more as you level him up). I will say, full power skadi is definitely better than aa skadi, but both are viable. I just think crit is absolutely necessary with aa skadi.

Idk what to say but your chat just doesn't know how to play skadi either so their advice is kinda bad. Shes very late game i suppose and you tend to dominate with most characters early game even if they're late game. Kaldr owns objectives its like playing 2 adcs at once but you have to micromanage a little bit. Imagine if Vulcan turret was less health but you could unsummon early to resummon and getting a kill refills turret health. It tanks to confirm chases people out without putting you in jeopardy but its late game scale dependent. At full build you can kill a Phoenix without taking damage and kaldr is full health within 20 seconds or using ult or killing a minion. Its really freaking strong you just actually have to learn to use kaldr and some matchups you're useless till end game but honestly a lot of adcs are like that when you aren't 10 times better than any other smite player lol she just might be more late game dependent
