These speakers have different applications. The Partybox series is designed for folks that want to use them for something like a backyard bbq, tailgating or Bluetooth party for a few people say 25 or so. The Partybox is not a DJ speaker. The EON are pro speakers. They are designed to be used at events such as weddings, bands, etc. They sacrifice deep bass for higher output. Pros will add a subwoofer for the deeper bass. A DJ will be better off with the EON's because of it's higher output needed for larger crowds.
That JBL Partybox is really meant to get lower because of the low frequency drivers, they use those drivers that can get as low as 30hz, the eon uses PA drivers which cannot get deeper than 40hz (I believe) and those eons are meant to be a Pro Audio speaker instead of an party speaker that you can bring everywhere, and the sound of those eons are balanced, unlike the partybox that the highs are almost drowned.... Try to compare with the SRX815, the partybox will be eaten alive by the SRX.... Or correct me when I'm wrong
I have a 310 and a 715, I connect an Ancer external battery and the best system for me is the 310, it just collects dust. My neighbor has two eno 612's compared to 1 310 and one 612, it's a waste of time. The 310 is full volume and you can't hear either the low or the high, one 612 plays better than the 710. partybox has just gone down a long way
I have already tested partybox 1000 against a 15" PA, the Pa sounds littlely louder, but partybox 1000 sounds better and deeper . > ruclips.net/video/ikYVqyRV4pU/видео.html
Would you go with 2 partybox 300 speakers as your mobile DJ setup? or 2 of the EON612 (EON615) as your setup? I like the Partybox because I can take 1 speaker around for a party and use it.
masterjumpstyler1 at the same time dont think about partybox. It is not meant for professional use. With your money, buy fbt xpro instead or yamaha dsr instead of eon or not go with prx or srx
I have both. The Partybox 100 doesn't go as deep as the 300, but actually has similar bass at maximum. Loudness wise they are literally the same, with a 1db difference
on bass boost 1, at 0db (85db reference level) it will hit 43hz, at F3 (-3db) it will hit 41hz, at F6 (-6db) it will hit 40hz and at F10 (-10db) it will hit 38hz.
How do you have the 615 hooked up? I’m using 3.5mm to XLR cable/adapter and the speaker crackles every now and then. I’m not a DJ I just got it for family events and for music on the weekends. Do you need a mixer to run the eon 615 properly? What do you recommend using? Considering selling the 615 and picking up the 300 for my use case but 615 is perfect for medium size family events.
True PA speakers dont have much lower bass, they are meant to be paired with a sub. PA speakers are meant to sound clear and loud, bass is handled by subs.
Soundtest of JBL with a behringer mixer??? Behringer is very low quality mixer so your test can't be the right one. If you test it with a good mixer like Allen & Heath, Denon or Pioneer i believe that your results will be more correct. JBL EON are good professional speakers but the partybox is for children small parties and not for DJs
All these speakers lack clarity and mid vocal midranges to complete the sound experience people are looking for.. I will say Focal Utopia sound is needed in these....
Honestly they are both great speakers and both have great bass. You could use either in a dj setup. 2 partybox 300s would be plenty loud for a wedding or dj gig of 100 people. If larger than 100 ppl then u need 2x eon 615
No way would two Partybox 300s be loud enough for a wedding. Comparing an Eon to a Partybox is like comparing a Ferrari to a subcompact car. There's just no comparison.
