Waste of city resources
Exactly! They evicted “Red Martini” bar today too. Not one police officer, stopped ppl (of other races) from grabbing stuff out of the parking lot. They were taking cases of alcohol, big ass wall televisions, bar stools, tables, cases of food etc! Even the employees were there with U-Haul trucks.😮😅
You sure right. Police, helicopters, inmates, vans, dump trucks, land fill workers, court cost.
@@SHUNUMPS That's odd.. I saw a video and there was definitely a number of Blk Americans there too.
The land lord should have been responsible to take possession of the possessions if those owners don’t.
@@cmonson1I think the point was not many races go to the beauty supply store on a regular. Its patrons are mostly one race of people.
I don't understand the need to place merchandise that can be liquidated outdoors, unprotected.
It was a setup. They were hoping people would be fighting over it so they would have a reason to take people out. Very sad especially after what just happened with Sonya Massey.😔
@J.Crooner Just say that you are an idiot that does not know anything about eviction law...
I'm sure the Salon knew about this for months to make arrangements for the property
This is what happens during evictions 🤷🏾♀️
Liquidation is before eviction to prevent these free for all incidents.
The lady was right .
You gonna protect their stuff but if it was a home/renter you wouldn’t protect their belongings
Welcome to the corporatocracy.
Stopping people from taking it, just to go throw it all away in a landfill seems wasteful.
This ☝🏾!
And cruel….and then warns them not to go to the dump….like what? Rent is HIGH…this country has an empathy problem. It would be different if there were some sort of legal liability somewhere, but I think they would have said so if that were the case.
First part, no. Second part yes.
That was a waste of resources to secure something that should’ve been free to the public. It was ass is eviction on the premises in a parking lot and end up being in a landfill wasting away….😢
They hard officers to secure a banded merchandise instead of being out there, on patrol protecting servicing the community, and even had the nearest to get prisoners out to remove the items and placed in a dumpster to be hauled off to a landfill😮SMH
Right this is crazy
When do police monitor trash in landfields? 😂😂😂😂
In this case even in parking lots
They barely monitor the streets.

When "trash" can lead to people fighting over it.
You can’t have it, it must go in the trash! What a ridiculous and wasteful world we live in…

Country not world, even Eastern Europe is better in many ways
Evil to waste when people can use the items. Extremely wasteful and evil...doing evil will get punished.
Tragic. Thousands of dollars worth of items that could've been stored in a warehouse to be sold on ebay was instead thrown into a landfill, adding all those chemicals into the ground.
Go buy a warehouse and offer to house it then since you are so concerned
Why wasn't the inventory sold and the monies usec to pay off debt?
It was gonna end up in the trash eventually once the use for that crap ran out
It was all basically in a warehouse and nobody bought enough to pay the rent.
People are given ample time to remove their property after eviction notice. Pay your bills, or take care of you merchandise if you cant
That’s stupid. They didn’t need to destroy the stuff. Plenty of homeless shelters and such. This was wrong.
@@kimmaried.7313 my point exactly😯
Did I miss something? Why would homeless want beauty stuff?
Maybe was organized by a competing beauty shop. They don't want to lose demand for their products by people picking up free stuff instead of buying it.
@@KM-nj3cm They give them housing and set them up with clothes and such to get a job. Everything is donated. The people in the shelters use beauty products. They just can’t afford them so if they are donated it helps them. There is a number of programs out there but we also have a lot of people in need of help.
Humiliation ritual. Unspoken threat - that stuff is *you*
Cops don't stop apartment complexes from tossing stuff out and stay there for clean up. Should have let them get what they could.
They could have donated this to various shelters, or support centers for women & children. However, they preferred to throw it in the trash, rather than do good in the community, and waste city resources to monitor the landfill.
Just shows the heart & mindset of people.
Exactly
The owner wanted it disposed of.
Maybe, but donations shouldn’t be expected. It’s not really their business
@@RaindropsOnLichen they couldn't figure out how to do that? It is easier to toss in a landfill than have a means to DONATE it to low come/ shelters etc..... This is the massive reason why Capitalism is soooooo atrocious. they throw FOOD away instead of donating it. I have seen videoss where stores dump their inventory in the Dumpser. PERFECTLY GOOD items that could be DONATEd to schools, etc... the guy was showing all the unopened non perishable items from some store IMEAN BOXes of inventory just dumped!!!NEVER OPENED ... he of course took the items so he could donate them. But bookstores dump books, grocery stores dump food (that is perfectly fine) ALL due to some loophole in the economics of this stuff so they can "write it off as a LOSS"... it is easier to do that than donate apparently and get a tax write off.
Remember, don't vote for Sheriff Lavon Allen.
using up police resources and tax dollars just to protect a bunch of brand new merchandise and escort it all to the landfill!! just plain WRONG. those cops coulda been out actually doing their job looking for real criminals and all that merchandise coulda been saved by all the people that needed and wanted it. SHAME.
They were already out there scrappin and that's why the cops came in that deep. They were fighting before anybody knew anything. That's why there's so many law mans.
They were doing their job all the criminals showed up. Also, that merchandise is not a necessity to life, so it belongs on the landfill. If those people want some merchandise from a beauty store, they can go buy it with money that they earned from their job

I am not even in office and in less that 2 seconds I can come up with a better plan than this.
All this merchandise was thrown out as trash. It took tax dollars to pick all that up and take it to the land fill. Law Enforcement's only concern was trying to prevent chaos from hundreds of people fighting each other over that merchandise because the reality is, when there's free merchandise (and that much of it), it can become a "free for all" with hundreds of people fighting each other to get what they want... and it can get ugly. Double standard. If someone gets evicted their stuff is up for grabs. The same should be true with stores especially if it’s just going to be thrown out. Weird
Personal property still belongs to the owner after eviction. Eviction is a legal process to get a person out of a building, not to take their stuff. After eviction, the property owners have a certain amount of time to remove their stuff. If they do not remove their stuff, the judge orders an auction. The personal property owners are informed and given a certain amount of time to get their stuff before the auction. When the auction goes forth- the money- if any - from the auction goes to pay the auctioneer and the people or company that is owed money from back rent or lapsed mortgage. Personal property is not a free-for-all for neighbors. Eviction is only about occupying a building - not a free-for-all to steal personal property.

Why would you dump all the inventory in the parking lot? How stupid!
That was an entire stores inventory, probably valued at 50k-$100k on the books.
How does a beauty supply store go out of business in ATL?
Maybe they were hit by shoplifters too many times.
The owner died...
Law enforcement can’t have it both ways. They can’t toss it in the parking lot then say they can’t have it when people show up.
It’s not going to make beauties out of most of these woman
When the city get their hands on your house or car, it becomes city property. But when they got a bunch of supplies they can’t use, it goes to protected landfills.
Typical bureaucratic idiocy.
That is our corrupt corporate system... "yay capitalism"
Remember, don't vote for Sheriff Lavon Allen.
@outoftheforest7652 gotta love people blaming Capitalism for obvious government policy. A business can't even easily donate food in the event of a closure or fire without fear of litigation, so they just follow protocol.
Local pawn shops and drug dealers were the ones most affected by this decision.
One thing I agree with the people is when citizens get evicted it’s fair game they don’t care who gets the items which is sad cause most times when tenants get evicted their at work not even home and others grab their things.
Einstein what make you think it's fair game? it still does not belong to YOU....
That is on the tenant for not paying rent. If they gave a rat's ass about their stuff they would have 1- paid the rent 2 -made arrangments to have the stuff secured when they got evicted.
and one day those will be judged
I agree.. when average families get evicted again, the police state doesn't care and doesn't protect them, but this is a business which presumably has more protections ... GOD FORBID though we allow humans to do anything decent.
@@starlite556So how is this situation different 🤔
Somebody dumbed their stuff. People saw it and it was no longer the stores stuff. They were evicted. The people evicted should have gotten a truck to load it up! Make it make sense!
Maybe they were getting a truck and had not got there yet, the fact is someone bought it, owned it, it wasn't the police's stuff to givew away. Imagine a large group of people stole and shoplifted from your business so much that you went in the hole and couldn't pay your bills and had to close your business, imagine those same people showing up as a mob thinking they should be entitled to it.
There should be a law against gross unnecessary waste. Preferring to trash everything purposely preventing people to pick useful things out of it first, is crime to earth!
A large grocery store in Missouri called Dierbergs had a fire that was contained to one isle in the store, but the entire store was full of smoke. After the adjusters were through the company had many roll off dumpsters to fill with all the contents of the store headed for the land fill. What could have been wrong with can goods and bottled products?
You don’t know how things work - the liability for deliberately selling smoke / water-damaged food is massive.
Or did you not think of the business owner?
You see folks, the government can throw trash into the parking lot but you cannot
You said it yourself. The governments. Something you ain't. You try that and you will be charged with illegal dumping.
Eviction does not include personal property. Laws in CA require the owner to have a certain amount of time to get their stuff, and if they don't, the judge orders an auction. The owner of the personal property still must be informed and have time to pick it up-- if they miss that opportunity- there is an auction. They are not being evicted from their "stuff.'
I don’t know how true it is but rumors were saying the owner of the store has died and there weren’t any next of kin to contact.
That is a waste too. They should have sold them at a discount and proceeds used to pay down the debt.
Even that .. I mean if the items became theh property of the STATE.. it couldn't have been hauled off to a warehouse and auctioned off? They do this with vehicals, and other items..
You threw products away in the landfill. Instead of letting people have them!! Shame on you
If a renter's belongings are removed from an evicted premise, who does the renter's belongings belong to?
The people who bought and own it.
She owner died. The products went to next of kin. Her family didn’t want anything to do with it.
@@PARTYWITHTHEMATTHEWS You know, it is sad that our capitalistic system fails in so many glaring ways....
@@rosesandthorns47 I don’t think you did your research. There was a woman going live and her video went viral. I was on the video before the rest of the customers showed up. -The owner died
-The property owners contacted next of kin
-The debt went without being paid
-Family stated that they wanted nothing to do with it. (They were still grieving and did not pay the debt).
-They told the property owners to “do whatever with it”.
- property owners began to dump it in the middle of the parking lot. (Eviction)
- Property owners gave the family a timeframe to collect the property
- people saw the products
- ownership stated that they can have whatever they wanted IF the family did not show up! They had already stated that the family wanted “nothing to do with it”
- the video went viral
- People showed up
- a pregnant woman almost fainted causing a a big concern
- the crowd was so large news was called and media came
- law enforcement decided it was best to dump it to avoid fighting.
- The End.
Not only a waste, it looks more like a deal had been made. If those people were allowed to take all of that merchandise, there would be no need to buy it for a while. I think Clayton made a deal with the other beauty supply owners to not allow the citizens to take the abandoned merchandise because it would impact their business. I guess the Sheriff interprets the law to his favor when those with power tell him to.
This is one perspective I’ve yet to see or consider. Thank you
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
If they did that. They ignored the law. Once it’s put out on the property or side of the street’. Ummm it’s considered abandoned/trash in the eyes of the law and I’d been using that law on them too. Cause they cannot take anyone to jail for getting it. What’s another man’s trash is treasure to the next man. Game on!
All for money smh they will never give people free stuff on this level
@@EnlightenedOne432 Cutting already poor people off from resources ?? I'm sorry you think that's enough for them to survive... Try feeding a group of dogs nothing but table scraps for years they won't grow they'll just stay the same size
Usual suspects 😠
This is disgraceful! Someone couldn’t call the homeless advocates to come pick up some items for their shelters? Or some schools? Nursing homes? It’s outrageous!!
Atlanta on display again!
If you ask me, the owner of that merchandise is an idiot. As soon as you had an interested crowd you should have set up a table and started selling that stuff at cost. If the choices are 1. It gets looted. 2. It gets thrown away by the cops. 3. You sell it. Even at a loss, it's better than a total loss. 😂😂😂
i thought it was up for grabs too They just fidnt want people to fight over it Why didnt they kust have someone to haul it off instead of putting it in the streets
Vultures……what part of it doesn’t belong to them do they not understand 🙄
It doesn't belong to ANYONE. Why shouldn't they forage?
Those items should be sold to pay any creditors
Who is surprised?
No one.
Smh.
I'm not😮
Nobody should be allowed to dump their inventory into the parking lot like that. The police should be liable for damages and costs associated with this eviction.
and the some of the beauty products are toxic (chemicals straighners, bleaches etc)
Maybe the store owner put it in the parking lot out of spite
@@rhargee4014If you paid attention you would know the owner had died and the next of kin didn't take responsibility rent was 3 months behind. Nobody ever checks for facts.
Put them in the dump ? Normally items moved to the curb off property so the tenants can move their items. Sad
Typical type of people.....
Who cave people?
yeah, order following corporate controlled police force doing the bidding of the corporate owned govt!
CHRISTIAN?
Wait. What? What type of people?
