PERFECTLY GOOD items that could be DONATEd to schools, etc... the guy was showing all the unopened non perishable items from some store IMEAN BOXes of inventory just dumped!!!NEVER OPENED ... he of course took the items so he could donate them. And here I thought the people were going down there to protest the eviction of the beauty store and support the store owners. Oh well. BTW, that was a huge waste of products. I can't believe this is the best solution the leaders of Clayton County came up with especially in this recession.
I am not even in office and in less that 2 seconds I can come up with a better plan than this.
All this merchandise was thrown out as trash. It took tax dollars to pick all that up and take it to the land fill. You are telling me the leaders of this county could not have partnered with a local charity, church group or other community focused group or women's shelter bring some joy and maybe some hope to people in need? I myself have taken surplus food from where I work that was going to be thrown out and have taken it to a local women's shelter and homeless shelter. Again, you are telling the people that are getting paid to lead this community can't even think of this? If they can't serve the community while taxes are on the rise everywhere they need to be voted out of office. The people of this county need to remember this when they vote this November and remember all of this EVERY TIME, THEY VOTE!

So, the cops figure, rather than having to break up numerous fights and disperse an ever-increasing crowd...just get rid of the merchandise.
