Looks like people were still having a good time that's great to see, truth is the crowds at Daytona have been dwindling the last couple of years it's not the same🇺🇸💪
Some paint jobs on bikes that can only leave one speechless as they stand and admire. Your bike has such a soothing growl that sounds more like a purring cat.
Thank you Lucky for showing us the truth! Also for all the vlog work you have done this bike week it was awesome and we enjoyed every moment! You Rock Bro! 🤘🏻🇺🇸✌🏻
LoL, I just replied to an email about that subject...so I'll copy and paste part of the reply.. Lucky, I really enjoyed your tour of the Daytona area I have been to most of those place over the past 10 yrs. We didnt get to go this year but I and a couple of buddies are planning for next year. I think you missed the bantum chef just N of Dest Daytona and Famous Phillies at Rt 1 and Nova Rd. and of course the Helmet shop.
Lucky you really showed up this Bike Week, thanks for the excellent content. I've never been there, but its definitely high on my bucket list. Ride safe brother.

DEFINITELY NOT CANCELED, but slowed down a bit. Thanks For the video, I was there until Wednesday, left to get to Texas for a concert that was cancelled when I got home. Keep the videos coming.
I liked the propane impression. Were you actually huffing propane when you did that? The other impressions were good too. Including your impression of BikeWeek!
The move definitely reduced things a noticeable amount, but nothing even close to "cancelling". However, Friday night and Saturday morning, I kept reading in texts, and online how it had been "cancelled" and I'm like,...What, how do you "cancel" an event with 100's of thousands of people here? They're not all just going to POOF "go away". All of the county's year-round restaurants, bars and businesses aren't going to just lock their doors......anyway just my thoughts. Thanks for watching, and "peace" back at ya. 😎✌️
Late Friday night/early Saturday morning, on Mary McCloud St (The Hood) Daytona Police handed letters from the city to the vendors. Telling them because of Corona, their license are pulled for this event. We later found out, the city banned any crowed larger than 100. I’m not sure if the PD enforced the Larger than 100 part, but they definitely enforced the vendors license portion.
Yeah, the itinerant vendors on Main Street, like the Indian display, had begun to close up shop. Saturday it was fenced off, and Saturday is the big blow-out night...because most folks start leaving Sunday morning. But the year-round bars were all still chugging along. The only thing I saw police doing was the usual activity...hanging out, keeping things peaceful
They ran paid for permit vendors off because city didnt want crowds of "100 or more" gathering. But city had no problem with people packing shoulder to shoulder in bars clubs restaurants etc....where the city recieves alcohol and entertainment tax $. Hmmm
I'm a rider myself, VTX 1800 F . I drink beer, love beer but I don't understand why a rider drinks and rides, it takes the edge and perception off. Nothing better than taking a long trip, getting to your destination and drinking beer when you stop riding
Reduced lighty? Smaller crowd all around for Saturday night. I remember people hardly being able to move on the sidewalk Saturday night on Main Street. After seeing the crowd at Biketoberfest last fall I told the wife it will never be like it was 10-20 years ago.
Donald Garrett compared to the 1980s and 90s the events will never be the same. I’ve lived here for 30+ years My point is that, everyone was saying it was “canceled”....”over”....done......so of course the crowds are going to be fewer. People who were only going to come for the last few days, historically the most packed days, decided to not leave home because of all the cancellations of other events around the country as the days went on....then Friday talk of “canceling Bike Week” ran rampant just like all the other hysteria.....so no Bike Week wasn’t “cancelled” and quite a few of the visitors and locals actually stayed
Me and my buddies came from Melbourne Florida had a great time.. didn't even think about the coronavirus the whole time we were there it was all about having a good time checking out everybody's bikes drinking beer checking out the women that's what it's all about...That virus isn't going to stop the Harley Davidsons from rolling into Daytona not never not ever...😎😳😎🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍
IronSteed you haven’t seen crowds! This year is vacant! Zero crowds! Beach Ave is empty as are all the streets which are normally chocked tire to tire going nowhere fast! This is sad snd to hear this dude claiming its not over... pinch yourself.
Yep, I spent most of it just travelling around, videoing, eating, drinking responsibly, talking to people...and editing videos late into the late night-early morning
My boss use to call me "Hank" at one point LoL I use to mimic the commercial for the show...and didn't even watch it for the longest time...I remembered that voice was on Beavis & Butthead and it caught my attention
I haven't heard of any rash of bikers dying, or coming down sick in the news....unlike Spring Breakers that packed beaches, clubs, and bars for weeks. before, during , and after Bike Week. Commercial flights have continued coming to Florida non-stop since then, to this very day, from airports in the NYC & N.J. area...the current concentrated hotbed of the U.S. caseload.....I'd be more concerned with that. As a matter of fact the Florida Governor asked that everyone coming here from there, and Oregon/Washington as well, self quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.....but no one in NYC or NJ has said, "hey, lets just stop packing people into metal tubes and shipping them around the country. Now that we have two weeks of additional information on it, and now the media has said..hmm, it is actually worst than a flu bug, which they claimed that's all it was, in the days and weeks prior to Bike Week...and they claimed it was racist to close flights from China, until that wasn't correct either. Yep, hindsight is 20/20
This probably has a really obvious answer but I live in the UK so don't know loads about Daytona bike week, but how do you know where all the lively things are? You seem to be able to find a good crowd all the time! Is it just that everywhere is busy? Or do you have like an event list to follow to find what's happening? Love your videos, keep it up!
I follow an event list, plus I've lived in the area for 30 years. Some places tend to busier than others, and it depends on the time of day, day of week. Many people can't afford, or can't take time off of work, so they come for the last weekend of the event...which I've noticed has always seemed to be the biggest. Unfortunately that was the week that the whole "Corona" thing blew up. So the last weekend wasn't as big as usual. But it definitely wasn't "cancelled" as reports were claiming
The trailers all left last night, per usual. The only ones left, are the ones who haven't faced sober reality yet, per usual. I live beach side, and most gone.....
Those "big wheel" customs must ride "rough as a cobb" with 1 inch of fork travel, might as well put a girder on it. 20 years in the dealership network, never made it to Sturgis, or Daytona, I did fix many of travelers, even prepped the H-D presidents ride on the prototype rubber mount Sporsters "ride across america" out of Portland Oregon back in the day. I did the Isle of mann in 96 and had a great time, on a rental XJ900 out of London. Ride safe and don't be a zipp.
You do know your on a Saturday the day before it ends correct? City of Daytona played it very well to cancel permits on Saturday morning the day before it ends anyways lol.
Yep, kinda silly how everyone is losing their minds over most people not immediately packing up and leaving. They literally only cancelled a handful of permits to temporary vendors, less than 24 hours before the last (real) full day of the event. And Sunday is NEVER a busy day, and doesn't really count anymore. Most are packing up to leave on Sunday, many of the vendors outside of those on Main Street are packing up Saturday night anyway. For the most part Main Street is thee main event Saturday night. I've lived in the area since 1988. People losing their minds are being ridiculous. People act as if, everyone literally should have ran about like chickens with their heads cut off, burning rubber on the way out of town.....if you've been there for a week already, I doubt another 16 or 18 hours is going to make any difference...of which you'd probably be off your bike in close proximity to others for far less than that. And finally, keep in mind this was a week ago....when it was first being splashed across the news. Not today, with a week of further information. I hope the folks who jammed the grocery stores for the past week, had on full hazmat suits while they were packed together at the check-out...what you weren't? "How dare you"
