This is not true. They sold the license to Carol Bouwer.. They didn’t lose it. We have been urging Miss SA to get rid of the license because we were wasting resources and time. Miss world wanted a specific pro type of woman and the queens that have been winning Miss SA previously didn’t seem to crack it at Miss world. So they sold the license.

Miss SA lost it's Miss World license because of inclusivity, since married women, single moms, divorcees and trans can enter the Pageant. Unlike Miss Universe; Miss World is still very conservative and doesn't support these changes hence the stand alone Miss World SA pageant
