  • You come home exhausted and at your breaking point, and a certain archon who loves you very much couldn't help but notice...~
Out of all of the requests i got towards the end of last year, this was easily one of the most requested audio ideas...did something happen~? ^^; i hope you're all are doing ok...~ Please rest when you need to, okie? ♡
By default, i tend to gravitate towards the fluffier, sillier, squishier type of romantic content, simply because that's what tends to bubble out of my brain the most often, but i'm glad i have the opportunity to explore hurt/comfort topics like this sometimes too~
I wanted to portray a scenario that conveys that even when you're not feeling the best emotionally, Venti is the type of partner who would want to stay by your side through it. I shudder to think of the amount of pain and fear and loss that a character that's several thousands of years old has had to witness across his life, and i feel like Venti's understanding and compassion towards the human experience would increase dramatically because of it... i can't help but feel like he would be especially understanding and supportive towards his beloved during their time of emotional need~ I hope you agree~ ^^
I did my best to convey that concept, but please feel free to let me know if i missed the mark on this one. I took quite a lot of time with both this script and the voice acting to try and get this one right, but i'm still learning, and i'm sadly prone to making mistakes...! ^^; I only hope i did this idea justice, especially after so many people were kind enough to request it!
Both in media and in real life, i frequently hear people's verbal response to seeing someone crying is often to say "don't cry" and i'm not sure if this is a hot take or not, but i personally believe that it's healthy to cry when you feel sad. I think it's fine to cry, and sometimes i think it's the appropriate thing to do.
I'm sure you all have stressors and troubles that are plaguing you irl, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a good cry when you feel like you need to. There's actually several scientific studies that show that the simple act of crying can actually cause a beneficial release of chemicals in your brain that help you feel better (namely oxytocin and endogenous opioids, aka endorphins), and as someone who has experienced stress from all sorts of sources, i can confirm i feel better after having a good cry sometimes~! ^^
Actually, (if you'll humor this nerd for a little longer) holding the urge to cry in can actually be detrimental to your health! Holding negative feelings inside without expressing them is what psychologists call "repressive coping" and it has been linked to not only obvious troubles like decreased mental health, but also physical troubles like a less resilient immune system, increased risk of cardiovascular disease, and hypertension to name a few, so please don't hesitate on crying when you feel like you need to! For the sake of your health!
A silly comparison, but crying is like sneezing. Don't hold it in, it's bad for you and makes your head hurt xD
What i'm trying to say is that crying due to negative emotions is normal and healthy~
However, if you feel like you need to cry ALL the time, that definitely needs more attention and professional supportive care. I'm not a professional, and this audio is not, and could never be a replacement for getting real-world assistance if you deal with constant crying, depressive thoughts, or feelings of despair. If you are someone who deals with such feelings regularly, and you have been waiting for a sign to go ask for the help you need, this is that sign. I'm not ashamed to admit i needed to do the same thing once upon a time, and i want you to heal and feel better just like i did, so please ask for help.
You can do it. Don't give up, ok? This world still needs you.
Anyhoo, thank you so much for listening! If you have a spare moment, please let me know what you thought of the audio down in the comments~ ♡
