The chasing of a girl is a traditional dating strategy for traditional men and women for marriage not for fun. It was premised that you date close to home/village/community where the options are less and everyone sees what you are doing,...one wrong move by the girl will mess up her whole future life coz all possible suitors will know if she got laid easily and no one will persue her after.. No man would want to be laughing stock of the village for marrying a tart (the whole village talks) . She had to do serious vetting since it was only one shot at the game for win or lose rest of your life. We are now in modern times and it's no longer necessary to persue on a 'hard to get'. No man really wants his time wasted and strung along. Options are too many and a'hard to get 'in modern times does not automatically translate to ' good girl' to keep
