It's meant to help get knots out of fur, but he never seemed to realise that his humans don't have fur. Somehow I was always aware it was Kai's way of trying to bond with us through grooming. And whenever I brushed him, he always thought I was trying to cuddle. I used to call grooming "bonding time". I don't know if this is a breed related thing. He was a Northern Inuit/Malamute cross.

I love wolves, but I wouldn't ever think of owning one. Alaskan Malamutes are the closest to wolves, I would consider. I need to get another one (SNOBOL died of natural causes).
