hi ray im 62 now still doing a to z in a bodyshop.i used to drive the old cabovers 80 pete and and a 362 love your drive to make theses trucks beautiful again.100 percent!
Funny thing is...I'm naturally quite short tempered. This line of work has done more toward teaching me to swim upstream than anything else ever could have over the last quarter century. You get in a hurry or start justifying shortcuts...and you quickly come to regret it! If personal pride is part of the equasion, anyway...and it always is around here. Thank you very much!
And once again a beautiful end result. I am really jealous of your optimism and your patience. I find the combination of high-gloss black in combination with matte black coating beautiful.
I agree on the contrast between high gloss and the matt finish of the bed liner. I've always loved that look as well! Patience is a virtue that I was definitely not born with, however. I'm actually quite the hot head. I just realized early on in this business that the rewards for practicing patience are far greater than the consequences of not having enough. Because of decades of forcing a generous dose of patience into the details of my work...I've become a far more patient person in the world as well. Something I never would have thought possible 25 years ago. Thank you very much, my friend!
Yeah...I've been threatening to get another one for years now...but never got around to it until it became necessary. And now, I've already had a few uses for it. Gotta be careful with this one though...It can be a bit destructive! Thanks a lot!
love whta you do man your a telented man that needs more recognizing.your doing a one man holy hell time deal with some help.with a big heart for doing things right.i totally gotta respect that!!!!
That red cyclone looks like it’s for dirt extraction, they use them on RC exploration drilling rigs but much bigger, it might be off a vacuum sucker trailer/truck
Yeah...that washer works like a champ for sure. Good enough that a person really should be thoughtful with it to minimize damage to unintended areas. Thanks!
I’ve heard some horror stories in australia people spending $50,000-90,000 AUD on restoring Holden Monaro USA equivalent would be Ford Mustang or Chevy Camaro/Nova and it was soda blasted, soda particles were left under the spot weld seams and over two years later it completely rusted out worse from the moisture/dew in the air mixing with the left over soda 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Soda blasting definitely isn't the answer...that's for sure. The soda imbeds in the pores of the steel or aluminum and...even though it might have been cleaned and appears to be completely gone...it isn't and comes back out later on by taking the primer and paint over the top of it with it when it does. Generally...walnut shells are a decent solution for that scenario...but i would rather just use some sort of paint stripper. Thanks for subscribing, my friend!
@@teams.t.e.a.m6214it was good in theory but practicality not so much, do you know if sandblasting with water and anti flash rust inhibitor helps with warping metal like does the water keep it cool or cooler to stop warping
Nope...Ive dealt with failing powder coat hundreds of times over the decades and this wasn't it. The texture on the outside of it reminded me of cheap, rolled on latex. High quality latex is a little less brittle after many years than cheap latex is. There's a lot of coatings in this world...so I could easily be wrong. But it definitely wasn't powder coating. Thanks!
I'm telling you...it can't be trusted!!! What you need to do is get a section of bicycle inner tube and zip tie off one end! DIY protection right there!

Well a big thank you to a fellow bodyman!
Man you always get some horrible jobs in to fix I'm glad you got patience

Once again fantastic work, turning something done wrong previously into a quality piece of work.
Enjoy the channel, keep doing what you do best.
Thank you very much! I certainly appreciate it.
Wooow that's awesome kool, I enjoy you explaining how the process is and prep work, I enjoyed your show and I'll catch ya on the next one.
Well I certainly appreciate that, Buddy! See ya on the next go round!

I have to say that was a good investment with the new power washer. Good job!

ANOTHER OUTSTANDING JOB RAY!!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
Well thanks a million! And you have yourself a great day as well!
another great job brother.
Oh hey James! Thanks a lot, my friend!

It belongs to a blasting and dirt moving company... so you;re probably right.
@@teams.t.e.a.m6214 yeah I think they call it vacuum excavation
Keep up that good work.
Thank you so much, my friend!
Looks like that EZ clean pressure washer made short work of ripping off the old paint.
Yeah...that washer works like a champ for sure. Good enough that a person really should be thoughtful with it to minimize damage to unintended areas. Thanks!
Another great job
Well thank you very much!
Lovely job. I love u. Explain it to some of the troublemakers.
Well I certainly appreciate that, my friend!
U do it the way it should be done. As a bodyman/painter and ran heavy truck shop for years, I have seen so much poor workmanship. So love watching u.

Great work on that bed
Well thank you very much!
Is that not just powder coat..?

I hate latex also.. I used it once and I'm still paying child support..
