I always use a paint brush to remove the excess gold leaf. It does a great job, a soft brush.
Right after I typed above you 1pulled out a brush lol.
that’s also good. I usually use make up brush.

A to je ten rozdíl mezi tvůrcem a umělcem. Já bych byl maximálně spokojený s výsledkem po balónkování. Nicméně jste pro mě inspirací...některé méně povedené obrazy se pokusím transformovat podle vašich videí...ale moc si na to nevěřím :-)

Thank you. I used my small make up brush with very soft hair
Sorry to ask this question if you've already answered it, but do you put any kind of a finish on your painting when it's done to keep the gold from tarnishing and protect your painting?
I used varnish in spray to protect it

Veronika, I have a question. You applied the glue between the leaves and than you applied that relief glue but if this second glou needs to dry for one day, isn't the first applied glou too dry the next day, to make the gold stick on it? I'm sorry for my bad english to explain what I mean😊.
It won’t get dry. It’s a special kind of glue whicbh stays sticky
