its interesting when it comes to christian relationships/dating.. my sisters now husband, my brother in law, was a christian when he met my sister, my sister wasnt.. she was buddhist. As they dated she within time turned to Christ.. as with time so did i (: and now they are married under Christ. its interesting because even tho she wasnt a christian at the time.. my brother in law still pursued her, and now not only is she a child of God, but i am too (: so.. praise the Lord and the glory goes to Him. amen

I'm in a similar place to you.. I want to leave, but afraid of the COVID-19 economy and lack of jobs, etc. Finally have a fulltime job after a number or years, I've felt this job is a Blessing from God. But after less than a year, I feel pushed to leave. But I fear lack of jobs, and I fear being ungrateful to God for this blessing. *sigh*... still want to leave though...

I feel like these are signs and I’ve been feeling like great things are or might happen but I can’t tell if it’s feelings from God or not and I hope great or amazing things happen to everyone who reads this and may God bless
How crazy ! The Lord works in many ways. I was praying about a spiritual man that I found interest in and I texted him after a couple weeks of not seeing him and as I got done texting him, I get this video. I am patient for a response but all in Gods hands.🙏🏼
Im new to all this, but it is apparent to me, the more I pray and ask for God's influence on my mind and my life, the better everything gets. I am definitely going through some trials at work, and as I was standing there with the stuff hitting the fan, I had a moment of clarity and realized I am under attack, as I was so close to quitting, funny thing my old job called and asked if I wold work for them again, it was very tempting. For a moment, I really thought I was alone, but that moment of clarity let me know how much I need Jesus.

I took a job as a corrections officer, and Ive been struggling to find my way, I dont need to find my way because God points it out right there what way he wants me to take. Wow right on time! I have been talking to a guy for 3 weeks now. He is a Christian, and meets all my boxes so far except he reads the NIV and he goes to a nondenominational church, but he was raised in a Baptist church like I go to. My friend, who is dating a preacher does not approve because she thinks we will be unequally yoked. I haven't got a sign from God telling, me to end it, I am just worried about him reading a different Bible version than me and not feeling comfortable going to revivals with me.
Well praise God he at least reads a bible!! 🤣 The NIV bible is still the bible so I'm confused why it matters what bible version he reads? Now if he were reading a Jehovah's witness bible then I'd say, Run!🤣
I agree with Zina lol. The NIV isn’t some demonic, uninspired, translation. Every translation has to deal with the ambiguities or deviations from Hebrew/Greek manuscripts. The NIV translators weren’t malicious in theirs, there’s reasons for what they do and why. It’s always just good to cross reference, between translations. You’ll see times where the translators try to interpret the text for its meaning or times where they just translate the text literally from their original language to English. Don’t knock him for that. An example: 1 Corinthians 7:1 ESV: “it is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” NASB: “it is good for a man not to touch a woman.” NIV: “it is good for a man not to marry.” NLT: “it is good to live a celibate life.” The most literal translation from the Greek here is the NASB but you see some of the other translations interpret the text instead. NIV and NLT you see tried to account for the wider context. It can go even deeper than this though and you can really see some differences in the text but this is a simple example. As for the denominational differences, that can be more of a problem when it comes to topics like the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. But just talk about y’all’s beliefs and see where y’all stand.
God has opened many doors wide open for me lately and Im exactly standing hesitantly waiting, like Pastor Mark described, but it’s because I’m staring in disbelief and amazement. Im not afraid of what’s on the other side or even of failing, im just afraid of not accomplishing God’s will if im not reading the signs right. I keep praying God to show me what he wants me to do next and he keeps guiding me relentlessly, I feel so blessed for feeling God near me. But im a sinful human by wallowing in doubt.

I was praying to God one night and I asked the Lord, if this girl is the one but it’s not the right time. Show it to me in the word. And I got this thought out of nowhere that said to turn to Song of Songs 2:15 so I turned there I see a boxed verse and it was 3:5 and it said do not arouse or waken love until it so desires. And after reading that I knew it was God. So my interpretation from that was yes she is the one but not now. So I’m not sure what to do now cause the timing on the video is funny cause I kept asking God when do I start pursuing

Im in a city/state and no door has opened. No job, no place to live, no believers in Christ around. I pray daily and ask Father God if he wants me here. No answer. I will stay if he wants me too but I just want to be where he needs me. I dont feel (yes I just said feel) like Ive gotten instructions. I do feel this need to go to bible school which I want. But I have no money. I want to work for Go d but how and in what capacity and in what location.
[Its a long story] I know I’m late here but I’m praying somebody helps me out. There’s this guy I know and we hadn’t seen each other in a while since we graduated [2019] . The first time I saw him he approached me at a blm peaceful protest and gave me a hug and stuff and told me it was nice to see me again he was very soft and just super sweet. I told him the same and that’s when it all started, as I watched him walk away I couldn’t help the smile on my face and my lil heart flutter lol but I brushed it off. Fast forward and his cousin, an old friend of mine and me are all talking they get on the subject of him and this old friend [we can call her G] says how she’d drop everything for him if he asked her cause she’s liked him for a long time and when she had the chance in high school she pushed him away. But G was actually talking to my brother at this time that she said these things. His cousin was telling us how he was in a toxic relationship with this girl and he wanted to leave her but she’d threaten to kill her self so he stayed. After that I’d seen him at my job it was the same feeling. He was very soft spoken and sweet while his friend and i joked around like always. I didn’t tell G because it’s honestly not her business. This last time I saw him it was today and honestly kinda funny. I’m driving by Walgreens with my sister and he’s in his car in the parking lot. We were both trying to look and see if we were who we thought we were. I always thought he was so handsome and really nice too. But out of respect for G I kept it at a friend level but now... G has a boyfriend she’s been with for a while and no it isn’t my brother. She’s also always been very insecure and any guy I would talk to she’d suddenly have a crush on them as well and because I was such a nice person I would try and set them up together knowing she couldn’t even date at the time [crazy I know ] I saw he updated his profile picture and I accidentally clicked on his account and I saw it said single, I panicked but I was also very happy because it had been something on my mind and I had brung it up in prayer a couple of times. I haven’t been in a relationship with someone I’ve actually been so shy to even text first literally ever BUT I did follow him on Instagram he accepted it and followed me back lol so that’s a step forward right? My sister told me to just text him and I’m too nervous. I believe my anxiety has kept me single for a long time and I’m tired of it. I don’t know if I should maybe find a different guy because I wouldn’t wanna hurt G no matter how much she’s hurt me I just wasn’t raised that way. I’m conflictedddd and looking for a bit of help because I really am fancying him and have been a bit since school but I don’t know if God opened this door for me or if it was just a coincidence

We don’t talk at all, and she’s done me this way time after time and then told me just to make me jealous or to prove that she could steal them from me. I met a girl in August at thua church and our group of friends has been hanging out. I had a feeling she had some interest and I've prayed about it a ton. Im worried about being equally yoked because I think my personal relationship with the lord is a bit deeper. So in having difficulty discerning if I should go forward with it or just let go
Mark does the commandment ‘Thou shall not commit murder’ mean I can’t be a soldier? My pastors I’ve heard on both sides and I lean towards the reality we need Christian soldiers. One hand I feel like God is saying to trust him and that I should and I truly believe I have good reasons, on the other hand I worry I’m wanting to do my own will, I try reading the signs but I can’t make a decision.
Not in my view, though some differ. Murder is taking life unwarranted. There is a difference between murder and killing in the Bible. War times are different in my understanding. If you are protecting people in love and need to kill the enemy to do that, then I do believe that is different than just murdering someone in hate.

I think one of my biggest reason I’m holding back is I place limits on God’s power and had trouble believing God wants me to go down this route and can still provide me with a Godly marriage and children but I know God often needs us to take those first steps without knowing all the details of the future as you said. Hello Mark, I want to tell you my story. I've been in love with the same person for 3 ½ years since we were in high school, he was in love with me too, but we couldn't speak each other because he was so shy and I too and also because other people we get to lose communication, but after that we talk again. Everything was going well until a friend told me a lie about him and believe her, and I stopped talking to him and I walked away from him. I thought she would tell him what I did that, but a think she didn't. I started to feel the feelings and thoughts of that guy, it didn't matter if I was near him, maybe I was at home and suddenly I started to feel if he was sad or if he wanted to see me, but still, I didn't talk to him again. Time passed and I wanted to speak with him again but I was too shy and he looked shy and insecure to speak to me. We entered the university. 1 year passed. I still felt what he felt o thought. I new he was in love with me yet because the situations speak for itself. Months before I speak with him again I was passing through difficult times and I couldn't speak to him for that reason. When everything calmed down I tried to communicate with him. I stared to stop feeling his feelings gradually. When I get to speak with via Facebook, I didn't know if he was in love with me yet, because he talk to me the same way he used to do, and then he started to speak with me more and he seemed to like speaking with me. (I used to send him messages). Then something was telling me that I had to tell him how I feel about him, I didn't wanted but something was telling me to do that, an something good would happend. I told him my feelings about him. He took time to answer, and I felt he was thinking his feelings about me. He took 5 hours to answer, and finally when he answered me, he told me he has met someone and they had a crush each other. After that they I started to feel different, and I feel that I lost connection with him. I'm so confused, I don't know why I felt his feelings or thoughts and I don't know if he did too. Also I don't know why I couldn't forget him even when I tried, and why he seem to like speaking with me. I don't know what to do or what does this means. God bless

So, after meeting up with my ex friend, he has not changed but also didn't say i forgive you or i am sorry. I said it to him and i was willing to give him another chance but he said its not romantic to have a low voice, should have long fingers which i have and criticized that i shouldn't walk hitting my heels, but i was wearing slippers that time coz i did a pedicure. Showed him and he didn't respond at all. So, those were the signs not to move forward because my mum gave great advice- don't want you to come back pregnant one day. I also told him, i never was in a relationship before and he showed me how to hold hands and hold my body as a couple and not a couple. As for me, i gave him all good vibes as i have forgiven and apologized to him. And told him, since he has a mental issue, life is too precious if you kill yourself. Those were the signs for me. I have to constantly be aware of this, when it comes to him only. That is my lesson. And i know, we are not meant for each other. I know. No matter how much i want him to be the one but he is not. Sigh...😪
I was in a similar situation. Find someone that appreciates you for you. There won't be any doubt and love, joy will come effortlessly. Rather than you trying to prove yourself to someone that always puts you down, never puts in effort and always criticising you for who you were made to be, even though you are a good person. Let him down gently but move on x.

its interesting when it comes to christian relationships/dating.. my sisters now husband, my brother in law, was a christian when he met my sister, my sister wasnt.. she was buddhist. As they dated she within time turned to Christ.. as with time so did i (: and now they are married under Christ. its interesting because even tho she wasnt a christian at the time.. my brother in law still pursued her, and now not only is she a child of God, but i am too (: so.. praise the Lord and the glory goes to Him. amen

I'm in a similar place to you.. I want to leave, but afraid of the COVID-19 economy and lack of jobs, etc. Finally have a fulltime job after a number or years, I've felt this job is a Blessing from God. But after less than a year, I feel pushed to leave. But I fear lack of jobs, and I fear being ungrateful to God for this blessing. *sigh*... still want to leave though...

Im new to all this, but it is apparent to me, the more I pray and ask for God's influence on my mind and my life, the better everything gets. I am definitely going through some trials at work, and as I was standing there with the stuff hitting the fan, I had a moment of clarity and realized I am under attack, as I was so close to quitting, funny thing my old job called and asked if I wold work for them again, it was very tempting. For a moment, I really thought I was alone, but that moment of clarity let me know how much I need Jesus.

Wow right on time! I have been talking to a guy for 3 weeks now. He is a Christian, and meets all my boxes so far except he reads the NIV and he goes to a nondenominational church, but he was raised in a Baptist church like I go to. My friend, who is dating a preacher does not approve because she thinks we will be unequally yoked. I haven't got a sign from God telling, me to end it, I am just worried about him reading a different Bible version than me and not feeling comfortable going to revivals with me.

I agree with Zina lol. The NIV isn’t some demonic, uninspired, translation. Every translation has to deal with the ambiguities or deviations from Hebrew/Greek manuscripts. The NIV translators weren’t malicious in theirs, there’s reasons for what they do and why. It’s always just good to cross reference, between translations. You’ll see times where the translators try to interpret the text for its meaning or times where they just translate the text literally from their original language to English. Don’t knock him for that.
An example: 1 Corinthians 7:1
ESV: “it is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.”
NASB: “it is good for a man not to touch a woman.”
NIV: “it is good for a man not to marry.”
NLT: “it is good to live a celibate life.”
The most literal translation from the Greek here is the NASB but you see some of the other translations interpret the text instead. NIV and NLT you see tried to account for the wider context.
It can go even deeper than this though and you can really see some differences in the text but this is a simple example.
As for the denominational differences, that can be more of a problem when it comes to topics like the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. But just talk about y’all’s beliefs and see where y’all stand.

I am almost on the floor laughing! Been stuck in this very dilemma as I am trying to move forward into what I believe GOD is telling me to do. And everything and everyone (nonbelievers) are trying to tell me to go Back to what was before and that I am crazy! I was praying to God one night and I asked the Lord, if this girl is the one but it’s not the right time. Show it to me in the word. And I got this thought out of nowhere that said to turn to Song of Songs 2:15 so I turned there I see a boxed verse and it was 3:5 and it said do not arouse or waken love until it so desires. And after reading that I knew it was God. So my interpretation from that was yes she is the one but not now. So I’m not sure what to do now cause the timing on the video is funny cause I kept asking God when do I start pursuing

[Its a long story]
I know I’m late here but I’m praying somebody helps me out. There’s this guy I know and we hadn’t seen each other in a while since we graduated [2019] . The first time I saw him he approached me at a blm peaceful protest and gave me a hug and stuff and told me it was nice to see me again he was very soft and just super sweet. I told him the same and that’s when it all started, as I watched him walk away I couldn’t help the smile on my face and my lil heart flutter lol but I brushed it off.
Fast forward and his cousin, an old friend of mine and me are all talking they get on the subject of him and this old friend [we can call her G] says how she’d drop everything for him if he asked her cause she’s liked him for a long time and when she had the chance in high school she pushed him away.
But G was actually talking to my brother at this time that she said these things. His cousin was telling us how he was in a toxic relationship with this girl and he wanted to leave her but she’d threaten to kill her self so he stayed. After that I’d seen him at my job it was the same feeling. He was very soft spoken and sweet while his friend and i joked around like always. I didn’t tell G because it’s honestly not her business.
This last time I saw him it was today and honestly kinda funny. I’m driving by Walgreens with my sister and he’s in his car in the parking lot. We were both trying to look and see if we were who we thought we were. I always thought he was so handsome and really nice too. But out of respect for G I kept it at a friend level but now... G has a boyfriend she’s been with for a while and no it isn’t my brother. She’s also always been very insecure and any guy I would talk to she’d suddenly have a crush on them as well and because I was such a nice person I would try and set them up together knowing she couldn’t even date at the time [crazy I know ]
I saw he updated his profile picture and I accidentally clicked on his account and I saw it said single, I panicked but I was also very happy because it had been something on my mind and I had brung it up in prayer a couple of times. I haven’t been in a relationship with someone I’ve actually been so shy to even text first literally ever BUT I did follow him on Instagram he accepted it and followed me back lol so that’s a step forward right?
My sister told me to just text him and I’m too nervous. I believe my anxiety has kept me single for a long time and I’m tired of it. I don’t know if I should maybe find a different guy because I wouldn’t wanna hurt G no matter how much she’s hurt me I just wasn’t raised that way.
I’m conflictedddd and looking for a bit of help because I really am fancying him and have been a bit since school but I don’t know if God opened this door for me or if it was just a coincidence

We don’t talk at all, and she’s done me this way time after time and then told me just to make me jealous or to prove that she could steal them from me. I met a girl in August at thua church and our group of friends has been hanging out. I had a feeling she had some interest and I've prayed about it a ton. Im worried about being equally yoked because I think my personal relationship with the lord is a bit deeper. So in having difficulty discerning if I should go forward with it or just let go

Mark does the commandment ‘Thou shall not commit murder’ mean I can’t be a soldier? My pastors I’ve heard on both sides and I lean towards the reality we need Christian soldiers. One hand I feel like God is saying to trust him and that I should and I truly believe I have good reasons, on the other hand I worry I’m wanting to do my own will, I try reading the signs but I can’t make a decision.
Not in my view, though some differ. Murder is taking life unwarranted. There is a difference between murder and killing in the Bible. War times are different in my understanding. If you are protecting people in love and need to kill the enemy to do that, then I do believe that is different than just murdering someone in hate.

I think one of my biggest reason I’m holding back is I place limits on God’s power and had trouble believing God wants me to go down this route and can still provide me with a Godly marriage and children but I know God often needs us to take those first steps without knowing all the details of the future as you said. How is it going?
Hello Mark, I want to tell you my story. I've been in love with the same person for 3 ½ years since we were in high school, he was in love with me too, but we couldn't speak each other because he was so shy and I too and also because other people we get to lose communication, but after that we talk again. Everything was going well until a friend told me a lie about him and believe her, and I stopped talking to him and I walked away from him. I thought she would tell him what I did that, but a think she didn't.
I started to feel the feelings and thoughts of that guy, it didn't matter if I was near him, maybe I was at home and suddenly I started to feel if he was sad or if he wanted to see me, but still, I didn't talk to him again.
Time passed and I wanted to speak with him again but I was too shy and he looked shy and insecure to speak to me.
We entered the university. 1 year passed. I still felt what he felt o thought. I new he was in love with me yet because the situations speak for itself. Months before I speak with him again I was passing through difficult times and I couldn't speak to him for that reason. When everything calmed down I tried to communicate with him. I stared to stop feeling his feelings gradually. When I get to speak with via Facebook, I didn't know if he was in love with me yet, because he talk to me the same way he used to do, and then he started to speak with me more and he seemed to like speaking with me. (I used to send him messages).
Then something was telling me that I had to tell him how I feel about him, I didn't wanted but something was telling me to do that, an something good would happend. I told him my feelings about him. He took time to answer, and I felt he was thinking his feelings about me. He took 5 hours to answer, and finally when he answered me, he told me he has met someone and they had a crush each other.

It means reverence or respect 🙂 we “fear” God for who he is the creator (an awe and respect)
great question, I think it is both respect and a genuine fear. God's wrath is real for those who do not repent and rely on his grace. But for those who do we continue to respect his power even though we know we are saved and loved

So, after meeting up with my ex friend, he has not changed but also didn't say i forgive you or i am sorry. I said it to him and i was willing to give him another chance but he said its not romantic to have a low voice, should have long fingers which i have and criticized that i shouldn't walk hitting my heels, but i was wearing slippers that time coz i did a pedicure. Showed him and he didn't respond at all. So, those were the signs not to move forward because my mum gave great advice- don't want you to come back pregnant one day. I also told him, i never was in a relationship before and he showed me how to hold hands and hold my body as a couple and not a couple. As for me, i gave him all good vibes as i have forgiven and apologized to him. And told him, since he has a mental issue, life is too precious if you kill yourself. Those were the signs for me. I have to constantly be aware of this, when it comes to him only. That is my lesson. And i know, we are not meant for each other. I know. No matter how much i want him to be the one but he is not. Sigh...😪
I was in a similar situation. Find someone that appreciates you for you. There won't be any doubt and love, joy will come effortlessly. Rather than you trying to prove yourself to someone that always puts you down, never puts in effort and always criticising you for who you were made to be, even though you are a good person. Let him down gently but move on x.
