The chains of hades could also fish, so you could get heals and stuff quickly if you were near water
One thing you missed with the Wolverine claws is that they healed you white health overtime.
So you would basically have an infinite medkit if you weren’t in storm.
(I don’t think I would put the claws higher though, but still.)

How could the kings man umbrella not be part of a crossover I mean it's obviously at worst a reference to The kings man with the umbrella acting almost identical to the umbrella shown in the movies so I don't understand how it's not a crossover.

The kinetic blade being ahead of the fists was an insane choice
The fists have infinitely more potential as a melee weapon than the kinetic blade, and it only has a second longer recharge while having more charges anyway

I will say one thing about the chains, I found it was crazy effective to pull someone in from a distance and hit one shot, two shots with a gatekeeper. I called it the “Whip and Nae Nae”

I would definitely say that the odm gear was number 2 because i vividly remember using it in ranked and just using that like flying dash ability to wipe out lobbies

You’re definitely underestimating the chains of hades, I understand you not having a place for it in your inventory but I literally won multiple games using only the chains and it didn’t even feel like a challenge (no it wasn’t bot lobbies) You could also pull people in who shockwaved, dashed, used wings, or were gliding, AND you could fish with it.
Many melee weapons are really good just not a lot will use them even after a buff.
They could even cancel zeus’s lightning bolt

I feel like if your making a melee weapon vid you should focus on the melee aspect then have that be boosted by a secondary ability, like i think the ODM gear should have been way higher because not only was its melee damage good, it also phased into builds and could be found anywhere (i think) and its secondary mobility was incredible and was honestly only passed by the web shooters plus it combos with the thunder spears. This could also go for other weapons here such as bringing the kinetic blade and wolverines claws/howler claws up and things like the nitro fists (post nerf) and the grapple blade down since theyre rly only utilized for mobility.

Not the only way, you can get mats from chests, other players, supply drops, llamas, and probably more. (Edit) I just saw you said “almost” so uhm idk

Honestly I still believe the nitro firsts are top 2, 1 if we exclude the infinity blade.
The shockwave hammer was strong sure, but at least it felt like there was some counterplay to it due to the high damage guns and the fact that it didn't have the highest dps ever nor fall damage. We are in a season where guns are projectile, the fists can't be countered easily unless you have a gatekeeper shotgun and their dps is so high. Also the range for fists and continuous attacks is ridiculous.
If we watch harvesting tool has bonus of farming materials in bulids mode it is probably second

Chains were not good they were broken you could do up to 250 damage in under a second plus pull people in they were OP

I feel like the shockwave hammer got overated a bit because of the swinging animation leaving you so vulnerable plus the nerfs it got. The nitro fists definitely take the number 2 spot they have multiple attacks (ground slam, punch, knock back uppercut) plus the mobility. It’s the only melee item added to fortnite that you can consistently get kills with in any fight. Plus the knock back on the fists actually deals fall damage unlike the hammer.
Good list but I definitely think nitro fists are way better than the kinetic blade for example since the fist can continuously attack players while the kinetic blade has a delay every time you attack
Also the charge up time to use the dash
Also I want to add, the nitro fists has more abilities punch, attack and the uppercut unlike the blade which only has 2

The Sideways Scythe gave you sprint before it was added and just was amazing for mobility, you could even use it to get a cheeky kill if you were skilled enough, especially the mythic. Definitely better than the regular pickaxe everyone has for the movement alone.

The fists themselves are still OP, infinite shockwave is pretty unbalanced. Buff the damage(cause gatekeeper and even combat are better in cqc dps), but force the charges to only be gained with Nitro itself and it'll recharge over 30 seconds under the effects of nitro.
I really hope the melee only mode leaks are true all k ever play is games is the melee even in shooters so if Fortnite adds this ima be competitive in that mode fr fr lol
You most likely won't see this, but the reason the Chain of Hades was so annoying last season for me is because the pull would stop whatever you were doing and in some cases for me, literally disable my ability to shoot for a short bit so you couldn't spray while the chain was still on your body

I think id have fun in the game if they actually put aside the fact they're collabs and actually put all mythics into Creative, i want to experience what it was like to use old mythics.

Thanos gauntlet had a punch attack. Isk your criteria for a melee weapon but i would say it could fit here

Wolverines Claws actually saved my life during Fortnitemares: Midas’ Revenge. I had a whole army of ghosts chasing me and since l had the claws. I could actually gain distance and spam the midair attack wiping out all 22 ghosts. Yes exactly remember killing 22 ghosts using those claws.

Personally, as a melee WEAPON the harvesting tool is the worst since the main purpose is to get material with it which doesn’t make it a better melee WEAPON. I would put the howler claws lower. I think it’s the second worst. The Wolverine claws were definelty the most overrated one by the fan base. I think the ODM Gear is the best one and the shockwave hammer is second

What a lot of us also loved about the Chains, was that you could literally just YOINK an opponent out of a Shockwave Grenade jump, or when they're throwing the Zeus' Lightning Bolts. In the case of the latter, it outright interrupts and stops their attack THAT was what put it over the top for a lot of players who loved it. Also with the TMNT mythics, there was an easter egg for those of us who played TMNT: Turtles in Time in the arcades/on the SNES, and HyperStone Heist for the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive. The melee combo did attacks that each of the turtles did in those two games. It's a nice throwback to those of us who grew up in the arcades during the 80s and 90s.

Fortnite is starting to get to scared so instead of making counters they nerf it into the ground or with the chains buff to much butt I think that the mobility without to long animation should be higher since it made you hard to hit or the chains because of the pull you can doge and pull off a high place but chains into a shot gun is broken.
Well since you’re talking about melee weapons after nerf, infinity blade is one of the worst, you can try it in creative as well, the damage was heavily nerfed and the attack that soars you through the air makes you a sitting duck

so not a bad weapon like in the middle
And it came back in Chapter 3 season 3 because i remember people using this weapon on animal and that was crazy
I remember many times being sprinted at or landed on, and doing the same, far from the worst I think most people don't pick up and use melee weapons to know how good some can be.

The sideways scythe is terrible in battle royale but in Horde Rush, its insanely powerful due to it siphoning from zombies and having an AoE almost 360 degrees around the player.
I would put wolverine claws in my top ten weapons in general

Sideways scythe wasn't really designed for pvp, they were designed for killing zombies and they were the best weapon for doing so besides the sideways minigun
Honestly the nitro fists are still really fun to use post nerf, I've managed to get kills and get killed by it so it's still good and most importantly fun
If ur would rate the weapons like they work now days and not how they worked in they seasons just saying that the the shock wave hammer does only now damage if ur standing 2 cm infront of someone then ur would vhange many places

i like the list a lot, but stats wise, the nitro fists are practically a straight upgrade to the kinetic blade. 4 charges instead of 3. faster dash initiation. melee attack dodges much more than the kinetic blade. pretty sure it does more damage too. feel they should be switched. so other than that, good list!

Chains of Hades was broken You could pull people in do up to 250 damage in under a second by spamming them. I would 100% take them over any shotgun i found apart from maybe a mythic. they just outperformed all of melee weapons in ch5s2 they were even better than lightsabers in my opinion and im a huge star wars nerd so its shocking that my bias dont make them higher than chains. Chains is also way better than Nitro fists in my opinion.
Harvesting tool should be higher… way higher, it’s so important for everything, it’s quick, nice for destroying walls, and gives you matts

There's absolutely no way the Grapple Blade, Kinetic Blade or the lightsabers beat the Chains of Hades, post buffs, in any fight.
I disagree with the normal picaxe being at 14th u usually use it for mats and almost not for attacking someone. And since I believe you’re a builds player it should be even more important like for taking walls or sum

Bro put the grapple over the chains... I disliked the chains for the first half of the season, but then it occured to me EVERY time I died to someone so fast I couldn't react, it was the chains. Then I started getting them and it was cake to even take the guy who had Cerberus shotgun on most of the time
