The fact that Sara, Gorou, and Faruzan are all bow users makes me realize that Gorou dodged a bullet by not having a clunky charge shot mechanic in order to get his buffs.
i honestly feel like she synergizes better with heizou than wanderer. heizou benefits from switching in and out (at c1) while wanderer *can't* while flying
I'm convinced that if Venti and Bennett were released in 3.0 instead of 1.0, Venti's burst cost would be 90 instead of 60 and Bennett's attack buff only happens at c6 and he'd have massive energy issues.
The moment I checked her burst's energy cost I knew that's gotta be a problem in her kit, Hoyo should really fix the energy requirements of some of the characters, a 60 energy cost would have been optimal tbh or make her generate a little bit more energy particles instead of what she have
I was following her kit in leaks and she was better pre-nerfed. You read that right faruzan was nerfed just a few days before beta was over. Before that she still had a high burst cost but she at least regenerated 3-4 energy from pressing e. Not after charged shot with only 2 energy 😩 they also nerfed her dmg buff and anemo res from 40% to 30%

C1 should be deleted. It's so useless, especially with C6. Why would you ever do charge shot again once you have C6? Faruzan C1 is as bad as Diona C4 or Xiao C4, meme level bad. Faruzan C2 should have been C1. C4 and C6 should be moved down to C2 and C4 respectively. C6 should be something new like making her burst AoE bigger and/or moving along side active character, like Gorou's burst.
Not only her c6 but c2 and c4 are mandatory too They really should make 4 star characters farmable already like Honkai (Even S characters are farmable there)
@@theifzelnite1087 oh yeah. We got 2 of them already. 1 of them is a Great Physical DPS and the other is a great Ice Buffer. Ah, Farming here just means you have to farm for the Currency not repeating the stage to get Character Fragments. 2 of them are 5 Stars. We got about 2 Fire Support equivalent of a 4* starting tomorrow, 3 Ice Support that's 2 4* and 1 5*, 3 Lightning Support same amount as Ice and Physical Support of 3 4*, the 5* is Gacha but she is rather damn good
I played as her in the test and honestly she just felt so clunky. Like, I like the idea of adding specific elemental supports like her, sara, and gorou, but out of them gorou is the only one who feels nice to play, feels effective with his buffs, and doesnt absolutely NEED his c6 to get any use (although his c6 is really good) the other two just have buffs that are too short and are too clunky to reapply to really make them worth using, and they dont even feel all that fun to play as.
Her buff lasts 12 seconds in a massive aoe... what are you talking about? With high ER she can even burst every rotation no problem. She's a great support for Anemo main dps characters. Her C4 and C6 just mean you can drop some ER in exchange for more offensive stats. She doesn't require those constellations at all. They only enhance her already amazing buffing utility.
@@eddystylez I was mainly referencing the fact that faruzan's debuff on enemies is only 4 seconds unless reapplied. Not the anemo dmg buff she gives the party. My b cuz i didn't make that clear. BUT that doesn't change the fact that her burst application is still clunky at best at least from my experience. Each pulse isn't exactly a massive aoe and if going up against a group of mobs that are more spread out, unless you have some form of good cc to keep them in place for the whole duration, its inevitably gonna miss some reapplications due to its weird pathing. And if you get interrupted out of the area and the mobs follow you, then the rest of the uptime of her burst is basically useless. Can I see good use of it against larger bosses like the regisvine, geovishap, etc? yes. Against large amounts of mobs or mobs that teleport/move around quickly? not as much. Her buff debuff combo CAN be really good, but the nature of the burst feels like it works better for the cc anemo units (venti, kazuha, sucrose) compared to the dps ones (scara, heizou) that it was meant for.
It’s a shame she needs C6 to be viable. I wish they’d stop these special charged shot buffs bc it just makes them so clunky. Gorou isn’t forced to shoot to buff as needed. Either way, niche buffers are always interesting.
And if they are gonna make the charge attack buffer type playstyle atleast make them an on fielder or make the buff last longer if they're a quick swap support 🙄
@@butter4104 I understand why they do it. There are way many burst support that you could just call in, press a button or two and then swap out. That's actually the majority of burst supports in the game. Forcing players to aim shot adds some variety to gameplay. That said, it is clunky, and they should make the charge shot basically instant, like Yelan's.
See the problem is Raiden is a busted electro dps by herself so people need Sara to crank Raiden even higher. We currently have no anemo dps as good as Raiden is, so I dont think Faruzan would be equally high in demand.

Her C6 turns her into one, but still nowhere near as good as she would be if she were Electro Faruzan. As long as you have Sara's C2, she's an excellent Generic Support. She's also a decent Sub-DPS Nuker at C0 and an excellent one at C4. Faruzan, however, is an Anemo-Only Support. And it seems like she doesn't do that job well, at all, without her C6 based on what @SevyPlays said in this video. Sara is viable at C0, requiring only C2 to unlock her True Potential and everything else is just bonus gravy. Faruzan, it seems, isn't viable at C0, requiring her C6 to even meet basic viability. This is disappointing as I was looking forward to Faruzan. But it seems like Hoyoverse has made her the Highest Investment Character in the game, requiring her C6 to make her usable. I'm still going to pull for her so maybe once I get her, my opinion will change, but @SevyPlays is usually pretty accurate with her character assessments. And if this is the case, Hoyoverse REALLY dropped the ball with Faruzan. And if this really IS the case, I hope Genshin's Chinese Community rides Hoyoverse hard until they fix her.

So demand for Faruzan is irrelevant as the majority will get her anyway by virtue of pulling for Scaramouche. And those that go out of their way to Constellate Scaramouche will, guaranteed, C6 Faruzan.
@@ForeverDegenerate The thing is Raiden can battery herself and her team, apply electro off-field, and still be a viable main DPS. She fits in national teams, electro-charged teams, Eula teams and more. However, Xiao and Wanderer don't offer support utility. Xiao can't battery himself and needs an entire team to support him (healer, battery, maybe shielder).
I was lucky enough to get scara in my first 10 pull then had to do another 30 pull just to get a C0 faruzan, imagine my disappointment when I discovered that she needs to be at least C4 to be a good support for scara and maybe xiao 🤦♀️
I'm thinking that every now and then, there's a high chance that whenever a 4 star bow character is released, it is a niche exclusive element buffer like Sarah to electro, Gorou to geo, and Faruzan to anemo.
You know, I could not for the life of me understand why Genshin's Hoyo would make an Element Specified Buffer and makes them more of a hassle to use than even Bennett. Seriously, even Sara or Gorou is somewhat usable at early Constellations since the buff they give aren't specifically tied to just Burst only. Like it's one thing to be niche, but to be niche and requires more effort to be put into ? I feel like the devs there should know the difference between balancing and gimping
Sumeru 4 star are pretty damm trash honestly, far worse than inazuma who are already mid compared to great characters of liyue or monsdatd. With how much the reverse powercreep having impact on these 4 stars, I can't even imagine how terrible snezhnaya 4 star will be.
When thoma first released, i spent more than 100 wishes to get him. Instead, i got two 5* and no thoma at all. Wishing on a banner just to aim for the 4* is a very very bad idea, you also risk yourself for unwanted 5*, everytime i did a cheeky 10 or 20 pulls to snipe the 4*, accidental 5* always happened..

@@Electro_Guy yeah, did this with layla and it took me over a 100 wishes to get her while miko came in only 30 and then on my next pull on the standard banner after the banner ended was her.... (i dont particularly regret it though, i like miko well enough and layla is the only character in genshin that I've really felt an attachment too, but yeah definitely don't just pull for the 4 star xd)
I think what this guy means is Bennett gets a DMG% bonus increase to his actual burst damage instead, and not the Pyro DMG% bonus buffing he does now lol

I usually watch zy0x's character guides and found this one because he doesn't have one up for Faruzan yet, and I really enjoyed the clarifications you added and how thorough you were in explaining the details of using Faruzan (eg. the 5 second internal cooldown on the particle generation from her charged shot, the little floating triangle, how the length of her abilities synergizes with other characters, etc).
I managed to get her c0 when pulling for Wanderer. I look forward to getting her c6 in several years and she will finally be useful... Until then she can hang out with my c3 Sara. Going to someday be worth leveling.

I think with her C1 it's manageable with her arrows. As you mentioned yourself, the effect stays for a pretty long time and doesn't disappear after switching to a different character. Means that she could E-Charged, apply debuff, catch particles. Go to others, use abilities, back to her, second charged, catch the particles.
Even with her C1 making her energy needs more manageable, it's still going to extend your rotations a little and you'll still need C2 bare minimum if you don't want her buff uptime to be total shit

I think the reason why they allow the release of 5-stars who're already at their best at C3 is because of the release of 4-stars that require C6. Starting from Raiden X Kujo. I think hoyo thinks that players think that if players would really want to maximize their 5-start characters without going beyond C3, they'd want to maximize the 4-star support, and for most people, they'd spend a lot more coz it actually costs more to C6 a 4-star than a 5-star character. It's just a perspective I've come up with, but who know's maybe it's a good reason for this kind of trend.
That’s 100% copium. Keep in mind that they’re not releasing good units where constellations will make them amazing (Fischl, Rosaria, etc), but incomplete units that NEED constellations. This is bad balancing and shouldn’t be praised.
I really hate how every single one of these dedicated supports are all crippled by a lack of C6... As a F2P, it's just not feasible to get them to C6 in any meaningful amount of time, especially when they end up being paired to a specific banner and never show up otherwise :/
Great overview once again. I got her at C1 and luckily have Elegy, so I'm using that on her with just 2 pc Emblem. I don't care about her personal dmg so omitted a 4 pc set in favour of stacking ER and I now have about 270. Her energy issues are gone with that. She's made my Xiao go from plunging around 80-87k with TTDS Sucrose, to 90-110k plunges at ult talent level 6, with her at level 80 atm. Very pleased.
@@Mushriimpp Yeah as Sevy pointed out in testing, 4* bows with lower base atk and high ER will still do great. If you find you can't make the ER you need with a 4 pc set, maybe focus on 2pc Emblem and high ER substats on any other pieces you have left. That's what I did anyway. I already have Zhong and Bennett in my team using 4pc Milileth and 4pc Noblesse, so no point giving Faruzan the same.
I hate to be so negative because I do want to like her for finally being an anemo buffer. I feel like she’s very similar to Kujou Sara when I think she should be more like Gorou (I’m probably wrong bc idk those characters that well). for Sara, at least there’s multiple ways to boost electro dmg and electro is all about energy anyways. Gorou and mono geo have strong resonance and such high def on the whole team leads to generally better survivability. The negatives for Faruzan are somewhat bc of anemo as a whole. Faruzan practically needs her own battery much less being able to battery anyone like Xiao. CC and swirls are so valuable it’s hard to justify using an anemo dps and anemo dmg buffer instead. Sorry this got so long, but basically I love the anemo boys, and the way Hoyo did Faruzan is slightly disappointing to me. Also is it just me or does Wanderer have shockingly low HP LOL
Never has my excitment for a character diminished so quickly. Mihoyo really did Faruzan dirty. I'll just stick with Sucrose with VV set, which is essentially the cheaper option imo.
@@xeacarons They're not exactly the same, but very similar. Both EM and Anemo Damage increase an Anemo User's Damage Output. Anemo Reactions can't Crit and their Damage Output 100% scales off their EM. So while Impact Damage will be lower with Sucrose, than with Faruzan, Elemental Reaction Damage will be significantly higher, making up for the lower Impact Damage. Also, OP mentioned using the VV Artifact Set on Sucrose. That set both increases Anemo Damage and shreds Anemo Resistance. It's basically Faruzan Light. Sucrose plus VV is Budget Faruzan which, given Faruzan's apparent ridiculously high investment cost, might make Sucrose the better character overall.
I was hoping to get c6 Goruo for my new Itto but I ended up with c6 Faruzan for my Heizou… so now I’m trying to learn her play style lmao. gotta rewatch this vid a few times
I dont care if shes clunky. I got her AND Wanderer in the same 10x pull on 8 pity... that HAS to be a sign. Also I love her design. Her dress is so cool with the square holes and the semi-transparent colored squares. I dunno why but it makes her look way more 3 dimensional. Im gonna try playing her. Almost all my other characters are fairly close to maxed out already anyway. The law of deminishing returns makes the fun of a new player more worth investing in xD
I just got C6 Faruzan in Xianyun banner after I got her C0 back in 3.3 banner. Literally took 1 year to finally play her & the sad part is the problems with Faruzan kit wasn't Hoyo bad choices but likely an intentional business tactic
I really like her; she's pretty, has an eccentric personality reminiscent of Mona's, has a lovely color palette, and most importantly she'll be able to buff my Xiao. I'll try my best to make her work.
She looks like Hatsuni Miku. As a diehard Miku fan this is reason enough for me to pull for her. But I do have xiao and his weapon. I am pulling for the wanderer hopefully I will get some constellations for her in the process.
I actually got really lucky, pulled Scara in 3 multis and won the 50/50 and got a Keqing with him so I got a guaranteed; but because of that I can’t go back into the damn banner for cons for Faruzan cause I don’t want a c1 Itto or Wanderer. I am literally suffering for success
Meh. Unless you desperately need her, don't worry about it. Pull her on her re-run. Save that pity. Besides, after this patch, she'll be put into the Standard Pool. By the time her re-run comes around, you'll, probably have pulled her, at least, two more times.
Skill should've generated 1-2 energy on both cast and charge shot. That way, we could've chosen if we want to shoot the arrow based on energy needs and she would have more battery potential overall.
Personally, just from playing around with her in the overworld, her gameplay is fun to me- but that may be because I play a lot of Ganyu, so charged shot gameplay isn't unusual to me. :v (Probably also matters that I happened to get her to C1.) If I was a new player and she was my only Anemo character other than Traveler, I think I'd be fine with that.
I like her as an on-field character, because her charged attacks are really fun and allow for a more interactive way to kite enemies around. Since I have her c1, I'll just build her as a main dps and spam E plus 2 hurricane arrows and Q when up. Probably going to use her with Layla, Mona, and Ganyu support.
I got her and Wanderer at C0 in my second 10pull, still going to wish more, hoping for at least C2 and some Gorou cons. I like the charged shot gameplay too.
@@NoraNekos7 C6 is just a QoL and crit buff, she works just fine at C0. Just put a bunch of ER on her like you would Xingqiu and she works great. 30% anemo dmg buff and res shred is no joke.

was really looking forward for faruzan. i wasnt going to use her as an anemo buffer but rather for creating swirl reactions. but seeing her burst not doing any damage/ creating swirl reactions really has put me off. i hate characters that force you to play a certain way/ have a certain team
I believe that her best set would be the emblem. Her burst does a decent amount of damage. As you are already going for a max ER on her, why not add full emblem set than. But at least with her. At the end of the day, the game is pretty easy and doesn't require 100% damage and 100% constellations. She is OK before C6, without it, it is just more complicated to get the debuffs. But generally speaking, even what she already provides plus other team members, is enough to go over the top. Max her ER, she won't have much of personal damage, and pray that one day you get her constellations from random drops

At C0, Faruzan is competitive with Jean for debuffing anemo resistance....And I HAVE C4 Jean. OF course...if you don't have a healer, Jean becames the better choice no matter what. EDIT: ON further investigation, By fully watching this video, I conclude what I feared: C0 Faruzan is....impractical. So I guess it wasn't just me having a hard time using her burst.
When i started my pulling session (60 pulls), I first thought I would've c6'd my c4 gorou before I get her to at least c1, but no I got her to c6(+1 extra) before I got my gorou to c6!
Does the VV set apply from off field? It doesn't right?? If it did than her C6 would really come in handy decreasing the swirled elements with no effort/ time :/
The only good news here is that she does at least seem really good at C6. Which is not something you can say about many other newer four stars, who have been at best very mid.

I wanted Faruzan because of her seiyuu! Once I got her, I stopped wishing. Haven't learned her kit yet, but I leveled her up to 90 as quickly as possible. Jean and Faruzan. Senjougahara and Hanekawa. ♥
At least Faruzan is essentially the same character at c0 versus c1. I'm still bitter about only being able to get a c0 Candace. You can't even build her like she's intended to be. Faruzan is clunky, but she adds a nice buff to Heizo.
I think her burst is bugged? If I understand the description correctly, it should deal damage after going to each triangle points, so at c0 it should do damage 3 times
The description is badly worded, the "AoE Anemo DMG" refers to the DMG from casting the Burst. Even in the talent scaling, it only upgrades that singular instance of DMG and the Anemo DMG Bonus it gives.
this Idea might come of as just something that Hoyo would never do but--- If I were to change her kit, I'd make her burst act like a tracking drone (in some way), the polyhedron follows nearby opponents and doesn't stay in a triangular path some what like how skills track enemies (diona E for exmples). Regarding her energy issues not rly sure if this is a good Idea but, her C1 being able to use 2 of her Charged shot arrows, I'd make the second charge accumulate energy as well.
I got her at c1. I thought that her c1 plus sac bow would allow her to do up to 4 pressurized collapse and thus get a whole bunch of particles. Alas, it has a 5-6 second cd on particle generation. 😢
Between ~120 wishes spent in Wanderer's banner, I only got C1 Faruzan. Mihoyo gave me 5 Yanfei, 4 Gorou, and a lot of 4* Weapons, which I didn't need. The Wanderer was easier to get than her, I don't know why they make the 4* so hard to get in this game.
One thing I never hear anyone talk about is the fact that Kazuha can draw her polyhedron in with his skill. I couldn't possibly be the only one that has noticed, and who knows if this was by design. One of the very reasons I have a lot of fun pairing them and using her as his sub-DPS
instead of getting seperate charges for her bow they should make it so she fires 2 charge arrows at once in a narrowish spread. i think this will help with getting energy faster. id also love to see her buff apply to every attack and not just every few or reduce the energy cost to 60-70
A lot of characters in the game have this issue. All it means is you have to build for more ER. Xingqiu for example if you want to burst every rotation he needs a massive 280% or higher ER. Same thing with Faruzan.
is she worth the materials if shes mot c4/c6?? like... if she needs those cons to make any significant damage increase would it be better to save the resin until i get those cons? speaking as someone who wants her purely as a scara buffer, but if damage buff w/out those cons is equivalent to bennett id rather save the resin... i cant tell... wah!
I really don't understand the ER thing tho 😭 in her trail she's C0 with 219 ER using fav bow and even that's like overkill literally how does she need near 300 ER?!
As this game progresses, you slowly get the pattern of how these newer 4 stars ain't up to par to even half of the first 4 stars that dominates the game, almost to the degree that they're unusable when you get them firsthand. At this point, there's no point in collecting these new 4 stars except for the sake of collecting them; you'd have to either get them first (which is already a feat) and get them to C6 to be viable (which isn't advisable as 5 stars, either support or DPS supplies you more than they would ever do).

I run Layla with Kaeya, no ER weapon, and have no problems getting her burst

@@theifzelnite1087 oh yeah. We got 2 of them already. 1 of them is a Great Physical DPS and the other is a great Ice Buffer. Ah, Farming here just means you have to farm for the Currency not repeating the stage to get Character Fragments. 2 of them are 5 Stars. We got about 2 Fire Support equivalent of a 4* starting tomorrow, 3 Ice Support that's 2 4* and 1 5*, 3 Lightning Support same amount as Ice and Physical Support of 3 4*, the 5* is Gacha but she is rather damn good

I played as her in the test and honestly she just felt so clunky. Like, I like the idea of adding specific elemental supports like her, sara, and gorou, but out of them gorou is the only one who feels nice to play, feels effective with his buffs, and doesnt absolutely NEED his c6 to get any use (although his c6 is really good) the other two just have buffs that are too short and are too clunky to reapply to really make them worth using, and they dont even feel all that fun to play as.
Her buff lasts 12 seconds in a massive aoe... what are you talking about? With high ER she can even burst every rotation no problem. She's a great support for Anemo main dps characters. Her C4 and C6 just mean you can drop some ER in exchange for more offensive stats. She doesn't require those constellations at all. They only enhance her already amazing buffing utility.
@@eddystylez I was mainly referencing the fact that faruzan's debuff on enemies is only 4 seconds unless reapplied. Not the anemo dmg buff she gives the party. My b cuz i didn't make that clear. BUT that doesn't change the fact that her burst application is still clunky at best at least from my experience. Each pulse isn't exactly a massive aoe and if going up against a group of mobs that are more spread out, unless you have some form of good cc to keep them in place for the whole duration, its inevitably gonna miss some reapplications due to its weird pathing. And if you get interrupted out of the area and the mobs follow you, then the rest of the uptime of her burst is basically useless. Can I see good use of it against larger bosses like the regisvine, geovishap, etc? yes. Against large amounts of mobs or mobs that teleport/move around quickly? not as much. Her buff debuff combo CAN be really good, but the nature of the burst feels like it works better for the cc anemo units (venti, kazuha, sucrose) compared to the dps ones (scara, heizou) that it was meant for.

It’s a shame she needs C6 to be viable. I wish they’d stop these special charged shot buffs bc it just makes them so clunky. Gorou isn’t forced to shoot to buff as needed. Either way, niche buffers are always interesting.
And if they are gonna make the charge attack buffer type playstyle atleast make them an on fielder or make the buff last longer if they're a quick swap support 🙄
and Gorou's Q follows the on-field character.

@@butter4104 I understand why they do it. There are way many burst support that you could just call in, press a button or two and then swap out. That's actually the majority of burst supports in the game. Forcing players to aim shot adds some variety to gameplay. That said, it is clunky, and they should make the charge shot basically instant, like Yelan's.

See the problem is Raiden is a busted electro dps by herself so people need Sara to crank Raiden even higher. We currently have no anemo dps as good as Raiden is, so I dont think Faruzan would be equally high in demand.

Her C6 turns her into one, but still nowhere near as good as she would be if she were Electro Faruzan. As long as you have Sara's C2, she's an excellent Generic Support. She's also a decent Sub-DPS Nuker at C0 and an excellent one at C4. Faruzan, however, is an Anemo-Only Support. And it seems like she doesn't do that job well, at all, without her C6 based on what @SevyPlays said in this video. Sara is viable at C0, requiring only C2 to unlock her True Potential and everything else is just bonus gravy. Faruzan, it seems, isn't viable at C0, requiring her C6 to even meet basic viability. This is disappointing as I was looking forward to Faruzan. But it seems like Hoyoverse has made her the Highest Investment Character in the game, requiring her C6 to make her usable. I'm still going to pull for her so maybe once I get her, my opinion will change, but @SevyPlays is usually pretty accurate with her character assessments. And if this is the case, Hoyoverse REALLY dropped the ball with Faruzan. And if this really IS the case, I hope Genshin's Chinese Community rides Hoyoverse hard until they fix her.

So demand for Faruzan is irrelevant as the majority will get her anyway by virtue of pulling for Scaramouche. And those that go out of their way to Constellate Scaramouche will, guaranteed, C6 Faruzan.
@@ForeverDegenerate The thing is Raiden can battery herself and her team, apply electro off-field, and still be a viable main DPS. She fits in national teams, electro-charged teams, Eula teams and more. However, Xiao and Wanderer don't offer support utility. Xiao can't battery himself and needs an entire team to support him (healer, battery, maybe shielder).
I was lucky enough to get scara in my first 10 pull then had to do another 30 pull just to get a C0 faruzan, imagine my disappointment when I discovered that she needs to be at least C4 to be a good support for scara and maybe xiao 🤦♀️
I'm thinking that every now and then, there's a high chance that whenever a 4 star bow character is released, it is a niche exclusive element buffer like Sarah to electro, Gorou to geo, and Faruzan to anemo.
They realized no one actually wants to play bow characters, so now they're just the "support" weapon type.

You know, I could not for the life of me understand why Genshin's Hoyo would make an Element Specified Buffer and makes them more of a hassle to use than even Bennett. Seriously, even Sara or Gorou is somewhat usable at early Constellations since the buff they give aren't specifically tied to just Burst only. Like it's one thing to be niche, but to be niche and requires more effort to be put into ? I feel like the devs there should know the difference between balancing and gimping
Tbh Gorou is the only decent 4-star bow support so far. He may be niche, and not do a lot of DMG, but his buffs are reliable and easy to understand.

Sumeru 4 star are pretty damm trash honestly, far worse than inazuma who are already mid compared to great characters of liyue or monsdatd. With how much the reverse powercreep having impact on these 4 stars, I can't even imagine how terrible snezhnaya 4 star will be.

Nowadays some 4 star characters are more expensive than 5 star. Faruzan C 6 is much harder to get than wanderer c0 I guess
When thoma first released, i spent more than 100 wishes to get him. Instead, i got two 5* and no thoma at all. Wishing on a banner just to aim for the 4* is a very very bad idea, you also risk yourself for unwanted 5*, everytime i did a cheeky 10 or 20 pulls to snipe the 4*, accidental 5* always happened..

and then on my next pull on the standard banner after the banner ended was her.... (i dont particularly regret it though, i like miko well enough and layla is the only character in genshin that I've really felt an attachment too, but yeah definitely don't just pull for the 4 star xd)

I think what this guy means is Bennett gets a DMG% bonus increase to his actual burst damage instead, and not the Pyro DMG% bonus buffing he does now lol
If Bennet was released as a new 4* his attack boost, heals, and particle generation would be c6 only

I usually watch zy0x's character guides and found this one because he doesn't have one up for Faruzan yet, and I really enjoyed the clarifications you added and how thorough you were in explaining the details of using Faruzan (eg. the 5 second internal cooldown on the particle generation from her charged shot, the little floating triangle, how the length of her abilities synergizes with other characters, etc).

Specifically, I appreciate that your vids are: very detailed but still concise; have bookmarks for each sub-topic; actually have relevant gameplay to specifically show what you are talking about (this is super key, and this vid perfectly demonstrates this); the dialog is clear, informative, concise and flows well as if was written ahead but doesn't sound like it's just being read; and that you obviously put a TON of time into crafting the vids to make the dialog match with the visuals. idk how generating these videos work but I can only imagine that it takes considerable time so I just wanted to express my gratitude for what you produce; especially the character guides. I think with her C1 it's manageable with her arrows. As you mentioned yourself, the effect stays for a pretty long time and doesn't disappear after switching to a different character. Means that she could E-Charged, apply debuff, catch particles. Go to others, use abilities, back to her, second charged, catch the particles.
Basically like c2 sara
Even with her C1 making her energy needs more manageable, it's still going to extend your rotations a little and you'll still need C2 bare minimum if you don't want her buff uptime to be total shit

I think the reason why they allow the release of 5-stars who're already at their best at C3 is because of the release of 4-stars that require C6. Starting from Raiden X Kujo. I think hoyo thinks that players think that if players would really want to maximize their 5-start characters without going beyond C3, they'd want to maximize the 4-star support, and for most people, they'd spend a lot more coz it actually costs more to C6 a 4-star than a 5-star character. It's just a perspective I've come up with, but who know's maybe it's a good reason for this kind of trend.

That’s 100% copium. Keep in mind that they’re not releasing good units where constellations will make them amazing (Fischl, Rosaria, etc), but incomplete units that NEED constellations. This is bad balancing and shouldn’t be praised.

I really hate how every single one of these dedicated supports are all crippled by a lack of C6... As a F2P, it's just not feasible to get them to C6 in any meaningful amount of time, especially when they end up being paired to a specific banner and never show up otherwise :/

Great overview once again. I got her at C1 and luckily have Elegy, so I'm using that on her with just 2 pc Emblem. I don't care about her personal dmg so omitted a 4 pc set in favour of stacking ER and I now have about 270. Her energy issues are gone with that. She's made my Xiao go from plunging around 80-87k with TTDS Sucrose, to 90-110k plunges at ult talent level 6, with her at level 80 atm. Very pleased.

@@Mushriimpp Yeah as Sevy pointed out in testing, 4* bows with lower base atk and high ER will still do great. If you find you can't make the ER you need with a 4 pc set, maybe focus on 2pc Emblem and high ER substats on any other pieces you have left. That's what I did anyway. I already have Zhong and Bennett in my team using 4pc Milileth and 4pc Noblesse, so no point giving Faruzan the same.
I hate to be so negative because I do want to like her for finally being an anemo buffer. I feel like she’s very similar to Kujou Sara when I think she should be more like Gorou (I’m probably wrong bc idk those characters that well). for Sara, at least there’s multiple ways to boost electro dmg and electro is all about energy anyways. Gorou and mono geo have strong resonance and such high def on the whole team leads to generally better survivability.
The negatives for Faruzan are somewhat bc of anemo as a whole. Faruzan practically needs her own battery much less being able to battery anyone like Xiao. CC and swirls are so valuable it’s hard to justify using an anemo dps and anemo dmg buffer instead. Sorry this got so long, but basically I love the anemo boys, and the way Hoyo did Faruzan is slightly disappointing to me. Also is it just me or does Wanderer have shockingly low HP LOL

Never has my excitment for a character diminished so quickly. Mihoyo really did Faruzan dirty. I'll just stick with Sucrose with VV set, which is essentially the cheaper option imo.

For those who doesn't understand, OP is probably a Xiao main, who needs a battery in Sucrose. That's why she's a better choice
@@xeacarons They're not exactly the same, but very similar. Both EM and Anemo Damage increase an Anemo User's Damage Output. Anemo Reactions can't Crit and their Damage Output 100% scales off their EM. So while Impact Damage will be lower with Sucrose, than with Faruzan, Elemental Reaction Damage will be significantly higher, making up for the lower Impact Damage. Also, OP mentioned using the VV Artifact Set on Sucrose. That set both increases Anemo Damage and shreds Anemo Resistance. It's basically Faruzan Light. Sucrose plus VV is Budget Faruzan which, given Faruzan's apparent ridiculously high investment cost, might make Sucrose the better character overall.

I just got C6 Faruzan in Xianyun banner after I got her C0 back in 3.3 banner. Literally took 1 year to finally play her & the sad part is the problems with Faruzan kit wasn't Hoyo bad choices but likely an intentional business tactic
She is the easiest character to kill Timmies pigeons with. best C0 to farm fowl.

I really like her; she's pretty, has an eccentric personality reminiscent of Mona's, has a lovely color palette, and most importantly she'll be able to buff my Xiao. I'll try my best to make her work.
She looks like Hatsuni Miku. As a diehard Miku fan this is reason enough for me to pull for her. But I do have xiao and his weapon. I am pulling for the wanderer hopefully I will get some constellations for her in the process.
I actually got really lucky, pulled Scara in 3 multis and won the 50/50 and got a Keqing with him so I got a guaranteed; but because of that I can’t go back into the damn banner for cons for Faruzan cause I don’t want a c1 Itto or Wanderer. I am literally suffering for success
Meh. Unless you desperately need her, don't worry about it. Pull her on her re-run. Save that pity. Besides, after this patch, she'll be put into the Standard Pool. By the time her re-run comes around, you'll, probably have pulled her, at least, two more times.

the way you slipped that Opera advertisement was smoothier than Opera's navigation experience.
Skill should've generated 1-2 energy on both cast and charge shot. That way, we could've chosen if we want to shoot the arrow based on energy needs and she would have more battery potential overall.

Personally, just from playing around with her in the overworld, her gameplay is fun to me- but that may be because I play a lot of Ganyu, so charged shot gameplay isn't unusual to me. :v
(Probably also matters that I happened to get her to C1.)
If I was a new player and she was my only Anemo character other than Traveler, I think I'd be fine with that.
I like her as an on-field character, because her charged attacks are really fun and allow for a more interactive way to kite enemies around. Since I have her c1, I'll just build her as a main dps and spam E plus 2 hurricane arrows and Q when up. Probably going to use her with Layla, Mona, and Ganyu support.

@@NoraNekos7 C6 is just a QoL and crit buff, she works just fine at C0. Just put a bunch of ER on her like you would Xingqiu and she works great. 30% anemo dmg buff and res shred is no joke.

was really looking forward for faruzan. i wasnt going to use her as an anemo buffer but rather for creating swirl reactions. but seeing her burst not doing any damage/ creating swirl reactions really has put me off. i hate characters that force you to play a certain way/ have a certain team
I believe that her best set would be the emblem. Her burst does a decent amount of damage. As you are already going for a max ER on her, why not add full emblem set than. But at least with her. At the end of the day, the game is pretty easy and doesn't require 100% damage and 100% constellations. She is OK before C6, without it, it is just more complicated to get the debuffs. But generally speaking, even what she already provides plus other team members, is enough to go over the top. Max her ER, she won't have much of personal damage, and pray that one day you get her constellations from random drops

At C0, Faruzan is competitive with Jean for debuffing anemo resistance....And I HAVE C4 Jean.
OF course...if you don't have a healer, Jean becames the better choice no matter what.
EDIT: ON further investigation, By fully watching this video, I conclude what I feared: C0 Faruzan is....impractical. So I guess it wasn't just me having a hard time using her burst.

When i started my pulling session (60 pulls), I first thought I would've c6'd my c4 gorou before I get her to at least c1, but no I got her to c6(+1 extra) before I got my gorou to c6!
Using her as main dps works well for me with other supports like xingqiu building with elemental mastery, stringless and VV set.
I'm holding a C6 Kazuha main DPS and loving it

The only good news here is that she does at least seem really good at C6. Which is not something you can say about many other newer four stars, who have been at best very mid.

Got so damn lucky I got her c6, plus scara c1, and r1 weapon today was a good day so this guide and scaras have been a huge help.
At least Faruzan is essentially the same character at c0 versus c1. I'm still bitter about only being able to get a c0 Candace. You can't even build her like she's intended to be. Faruzan is clunky, but she adds a nice buff to Heizo.
I think her burst is bugged? If I understand the description correctly, it should deal damage after going to each triangle points, so at c0 it should do damage 3 times
The description is badly worded, the "AoE Anemo DMG" refers to the DMG from casting the Burst. Even in the talent scaling, it only upgrades that singular instance of DMG and the Anemo DMG Bonus it gives.
2x Exile 2x Emblem with Favonius and ER sands is already 40% ER + 60% + 50%… you’re already at 250% ❤ and then add in substats and you’re golden
this Idea might come of as just something that Hoyo would never do but---
If I were to change her kit, I'd make her burst act like a tracking drone (in some way), the polyhedron follows nearby opponents and doesn't stay in a triangular path some what like how skills track enemies (diona E for exmples).
Regarding her energy issues not rly sure if this is a good Idea but, her C1 being able to use 2 of her Charged shot arrows, I'd make the second charge accumulate energy as well.
I got her at c1. I thought that her c1 plus sac bow would allow her to do up to 4 pressurized collapse and thus get a whole bunch of particles. Alas, it has a 5-6 second cd on particle generation. 😢
Between ~120 wishes spent in Wanderer's banner, I only got C1 Faruzan. Mihoyo gave me 5 Yanfei, 4 Gorou, and a lot of 4* Weapons, which I didn't need. The Wanderer was easier to get than her, I don't know why they make the 4* so hard to get in this game.

One thing I never hear anyone talk about is the fact that Kazuha can draw her polyhedron in with his skill. I couldn't possibly be the only one that has noticed, and who knows if this was by design. One of the very reasons I have a lot of fun pairing them and using her as his sub-DPS
Fazuzan is like "Unlock Hidden 5 star mode with C6".
Although we can argue that Bennet and XQ (maybe XL) are free 6 stars already
instead of getting seperate charges for her bow they should make it so she fires 2 charge arrows at once in a narrowish spread. i think this will help with getting energy faster. id also love to see her buff apply to every attack and not just every few or reduce the energy cost to 60-70
The serious problem of faruzan is her energy cost too high and she just has 2 particles from her skill 😭
A lot of characters in the game have this issue. All it means is you have to build for more ER. Xingqiu for example if you want to burst every rotation he needs a massive 280% or higher ER. Same thing with Faruzan.
is she worth the materials if shes mot c4/c6?? like... if she needs those cons to make any significant damage increase would it be better to save the resin until i get those cons? speaking as someone who wants her purely as a scara buffer, but if damage buff w/out those cons is equivalent to bennett id rather save the resin... i cant tell... wah!
I really don't understand the ER thing tho 😭 in her trail she's C0 with 219 ER using fav bow and even that's like overkill literally how does she need near 300 ER?!
i have c6 faruzan and c3 layla on the same team, is it okay if build them both tenacity of the millelith?
does the 4secs anemo buff also resets each time the enemies get hit by the burst's pulse?
As this game progresses, you slowly get the pattern of how these newer 4 stars ain't up to par to even half of the first 4 stars that dominates the game, almost to the degree that they're unusable when you get them firsthand. At this point, there's no point in collecting these new 4 stars except for the sake of collecting them; you'd have to either get them first (which is already a feat) and get them to C6 to be viable (which isn't advisable as 5 stars, either support or DPS supplies you more than they would ever do).

another sara... its been a year and i still dont have sara on c6 even when i spent around 200 wishes on raiden banner bc she never reruns without her... its so sad
viridescent hunt is perhaps a good choice for her at C0-C1 for the utility of better grouping on her part of the rotation.
Is 300 or 310 er enough to burst every rotation with elegy at C2? Or do I need favonius?
Most likely it's enough, best to test it yourself though as it can depend.

i pulled for wanderer and got c6 faruzan in just 150 pulls
yeah, she's pretty cool. built her as dps because... why not, and she hits pretty hard with amos bow.
i only got her 2 c1 (just wanted a copy) but alas i’m saving for raiden :p
