Thank you so much. I was able to check and verify power at the plug. So bought a new fuel pump module. Popped it in and started right up! Saved me a tow and a shop bill. Thanks again.
I wish I had your skill of understanding the mysterious art of diagnosing issues with a multi-meter. You're brilliant. I will be paying $300 for this work at the Ford dealership later today. Seems a bit steep after watching this. You make it look easy but it's not. Great video.
Awesome video! This was the fix for mine 2013 f150 with only 80k miles! Mine had the exact same symptoms as in this video. Went straight to the parts store and they had ot in stock. Took me about 20 minutes to change it out and it started right up! Way to go saving me tons of time and money! Thanks good Sir
This video is the only one on the entire internet that has helped me precisely with my situation. Literally, this morning I just bought a new fuel pump, and tomorrow I was going to install it. But after watching this video just now, I'm looking for this control module to replace it to see if it's the cause of the problem. Thank You! Have Nice day. Greetings from Ags, México.
2014 still 150 Same problem ges what not the gas pump it was a starter going bad Ya the starter controls the gas pump ,, saved me 800 dollars by a good mechanic
Great Video! I have a 2012 f350 dump truck and I think the fuel pump module went bad. I seen the code on my Scan tool delete the code. mins later after doing that truck won’t start. Crank strong? Can I spray starting fluid into intake hose to see if it will fire up?
@@anthonyfisher4874 yes did crank strong and I sprayed starting fluid during my initial diag and it fired up then started making my way to check the pump and the relay.
@@ollieonwheels1 I sprayed starting fluid earlier and did crank but shut off. I did have a bad battery and I got a u0100 for lost communication with ecm. I’m wondering if the dead battery can cause that?
I changed fuel pump on my 09 f150 xlt 5.4 started and died now i got crank no start it sounds like im getting power to the pump could it be my pump module?
My Ford F150 5.0L truck will start and run for about ten minutes then shut off and no re start because not getting fuel. I let it sit overnight and then it will start perfectly fine and do the same thing.

Very excellent work on this video. I’m very happy you shared it cause there’s not a lot of information on testing them.

It comes with time and practice a lot of newer cars i find myself having to check wiring and voltage to confirm issues can be time consuming for sure.

GM's need to have the vin programmed to the replacement, Ford kept it simple, remove and replace.
For now

Super 👍🏻👍🏻 thank you for sharing this video
No problem glad I can help
How did you check the power coming out of the module?
Hello I used a multi meter and some back probing connectors to check the signal

My fuse #27 is melted. Cranks but no start. I’ll try this module.
if its melted you need to use a tsb relocate kit to relocate to #70
My fuse #27 melted yesterday what was wrong with your truck

What is a TSB?
@@dddrott7225 technical service bulletin pretty much common issues that Ford came out with a repair for
Was it cranking at all either or just not starting?
It was cranking but just not starting
That’s the issue with my truck and checked fuse #27 and is good.
He did not comment if it was a no crank or no start if intermittent okay
It was a crank no start added starter fluid in intake tube started right up
It's gonna be gas it's not diesel correct
27 needs a 20 amp in it
So would u hear ur pump turn on when u turned the key before u replaced it?
No this part actually sends 12 volts to the fuel pump, I had my 12 bolts coming in to relay but not going out to fuel pump. Thanks for watching.
