What is the difference between "Moskve" and "Moskva"? I thought "Moskva" was the sole output from the act of romanizing the Russian word.

its because Moskve is used with "in Moscow" "through Moscow" and Moskva is used to say "its Moscow"

Hint: Russian has case system. ))
"Москва" (Moskva) is nominative, but "по Москве" (po Moskve) is dative.
(Almost any preposition in Russian requires some case, which is NOT nominative.)
