Dart plays in the SEC. He deals with a higher level of competition than the two top quarterbacks in this draft.

KidBlueRB27, you don't waste a top-three pick on quarterbacks who are not considered must-have can't-miss franchise-changing players.
This draft doesn't have elite quarterbacks-the Giants need to sign a veteran and get their franchise quarterback next year. Dart could be a very decent QB and can probably be had in the lower half of the first round. This is what happens when you pass on JJ McCarthy who would have been the runaway 1st pick this year.
The Giants need to fix the OL (15 seasons of putrid play and still hasn't been fixed), Weapons are easier to find than franchise QBs

His numbers are inflated by playing trash teams. Look when he played better competition. LSA 1td 1 pick 57% completion, UGA 1TD 1 Pick 59%, FLA 2 td 2 INT 58%, South Carolina 0TD 0 Picks 52%. 19 of his TDs were vs Furman, Georgia Southern, Arkansas, and Duke

1. People doubted Herbert’s ability to perform in a pro style offense from the one he ran in Oregon
2. Giants failed miserably with throwing it deep bc Jones was statistically one of the worse in the NFL. We’ll see next year with a new QB
3. IT factor. This one people can argue but I think he’s got IT.
4. Confidence. That in itself says enough.
The Giants aren’t a QB away from even making the playoffs so why rush in a terrible QB class locking yourself in with Ward/Sanders. Jones should’ve been gone years ago but wasn’t bc of mediocre at best seasons here and there. If the two quarterbacks I mention flop, the narrative is lack of support or weapons. And the ridiculous justification is “Look at J Daniels” as if Washington didn’t already have a decent squad with pieces added.
I wouldn’t draft a QB this year but if I had to, I’d go with Dart

Let's not kid ourselves. Back in the 2019 QB draft class season Daniel Jones was rising up in the draft boards. Mara and Gettleman wanted him because he had similar traits to Eli Manning. How did that work out ? Now you got an Ole Miss QB coming from the same school as Eli. Do you really want to take a chance on having history repeat itself all over again ? The Giants have a shot at getting a flat out better QB in Shedeur Sanders if not Cam Ward. Let's not louse it up now. It was said earlier - The Giants were all in on Shedeur Sanders. For once we should stick with the plan and learn from Dave Gettlman's mistake. Even if Dart eventually does well - Shedeur is by far the most NFL ready QB in this year's draft and is better equipped to handling pressure situations from the competition and the New York Media.
Forget it. Let the Jets take Jaxon Dart. He's a better fit there.
Is Darts medical clean and will he be there in round #3? I say at pick #3 we draft 6'5, 215lbs WR Tetairoa McMillan. Although he's not quick, he creates mismatches. The Giants have been looking/needing a WR like this for years. Last year a lot of Giant fans thought that they were going to pick WR Rome Odunze because he was that large big bodied WR, but they passed and selected Nabers. Regardless of who the future WR is, they would be helped by the combo of Nabers/McMillan with Slayton leaving. In round #2 I'd try to trade back. I'd probably pick an OL unless there's a really good pick at DT that's there. In round # 3 I may not want to take any chances. I'll either take my QB, but that's dependent on how many are on the board. My QB is Will Howard. Although he's not the typical running QB, he will if needed. He checks all the boxes. He trows with a percentage rate of +70%. Did we get an extra 4th round pick with the 2nd round trade? If so I'd take the opposite of what I picked in round #2 either a OL or DT. With the second pick I'd take either a RB or a DB. We are not set at RB

All this is for the sake of talking in my opinion. Tom Brady was not considered to be anything. Any QB that turns pro can learn and develop into a great player. Deficiencies at the college level may indicate poor PRO play, but it isn't an exact science. Again, think Brady. And what about Purdy? Wasn't Justin Jefferson a third-round pick based on his projections? Lamar Jackson, who will likely be an MVP for a third time most likely, was the last pick in the first round. Patrick Mahomes was the 10th pick in the draft. You could go on and on with this. Another good example is when a player is considered a BUST but ends up playing well in a different system.
This is why I wanted everyone fired. They have no choice but to take a qb. If a new regime came in and took sanders or ward I’d feel a lot better
