A Spring To Remember

As spring brought with it the joy of blooming flowers, the school garden blossoms offered a breath-taking sight providing a great opportunity for students to learn about the horticultural world. A fun outdoor ‘Seasonal Science’ activity was conducted on the 23rd of March for the EVS students of Class 10 by Ms. Vanshree Scott. The students needed a reference guide but decided that the ‘let’s look it up in a book’ method was pretty old-fashioned with technology at their fingertips. Using plant identification apps was faster and more fun! The flower tagging exercise gave an identity to at least twenty species of flowers. Students mentioned the common names, botanical names and the medicinal properties of each flower on the tags. The school community had a great learning experience amidst spectacular vibrant floral hues.
