"If they push Blu-ray or 4K more..." bro these formats go up and down but I don't think 4Ks will be 60% anytime soon.Sadly the average moviegoer or the younger ones prefer streaming. Well I am not surprised by those numbers. Bc the major problem is the studios & small labels still not releasing more first time catalog titles. But spending more time & money on streaming & recycling the catalog titles that already been released but now releasing them in 4k . I just wish the studios & small labels would spend more time & money on releasing first catalog titles either on bluray or 4k. Instead of just recycling catalog titles from bluray to 4k. I am not saying stop recycling catalog titles from bluray to 4k. But releaes more first time catalog titles to either bluray or 4k. And cut back on releasing movies only to streaming services & give the customers choices if they want to own a film on physical media or streaming services. I think if the studios & small labels gave the customers a choice between streaming & owning films on physical media. I personally think physical media would be alot stronger & sales charts would be higher for blurays & 4ks
I feel that theaters are in a bad shape. If theaters tank, then I feel that physical media and TVOD will be affected by it, greatly. Not so much of SVOD, because it seems they are moving to sports, reality TV, and documentaries. Netflix got a deal with the WWE, so we will see how many actual movies Netflix will make next year.
@@jabdnor Theaters going away or at least struggling are definitely a major problem for most movies in general. But how do they get people back to the theaters? Is it too little, too late now?
@megamikethemovieman I do think theaters still sell, as proven with movies like Top Gun Maverick, Oppenheimer, and Deadpool and Wolverine. Smaller budget movies are a hard sell because they go to streaming weeks after release. Matt Damon did say once that smaller budget films get their money back from DVD sells. Unfortunately, people are not buying DVDs like they used to, and studios are reluctant to make smaller budget films. I don't have answers personally, but I hope theaters last for a long time.

I'm the first to like your video and first to comment about as I just bought some new Movies at Walmart and Walgreens last month of Kung Fu Panda 🐼 4 on Blu Ray 📀 Disc and DVD 📀 disc combo pack and the Last Unicorn 🦄🌈 on Blu Ray Disc 📀 and 4K Disc 📀 combo pack at Walmart last month and then I bought Lemony Snicket's a series of unfortunate events and, M2B Men in Black two on DVD 📀at Walgreens last month! I have bought 🦖Godzilla🦖X Kong on Blu Ray Disc 📀 at last month after I watched 🦖Godzilla🦖X Kong in the theater twice and I bought alot 🦖 Godzilla🦖 toys after I watched the 🦖Godzilla🦖X Kong movie this year in the theater and I also bought the 🦖 Godzilla 🦖T-Shirt 👕at Walmart after I watched the 🦖 Godzilla🦖 movie at the movie theater this year!
If theaters had more new kids movies we would go more often.

The streaming is growing more. But I buy DVDs for the commentaries, etc.
