Yo Alex I think you should try out Flatface "dual durometer" wheels because I've heard a lot of good things about them and think you'll like them even more than Maple wheels. Edit : I like the last one more but I think you should add another ledge on it as well to be able to grind.

PVC piping might be a little better too, thicker and wider for a deeper bowl
That little hill obstacle would be sick with a pole jam coming out the top. I just bought some today, i agree its a super fun kit.
