It’s crazy to me that this is a mixtape. Realistically these songs aren’t SUPPOSED to be genuinely really good songs for his usual standard. These are supposed to be songs that he’s experimenting with. Songs that he’s using to test out new flows, styles and beats and such. But somehow they’re all still incredible. I don’t know how he made a mixtape sound as good as an album, but however he did it, it’s amazing. NF truly is one of the best of our time. I just wish the media would recognize rappers and artists such as him
I feel like his only barrier is lack of curse words and his Christian approach. People think praising the Lord’s gospel and not sinning is “not cool”. I feel like if people opened their eyes, NF would be on top of the world really soon.
@@masenmalone7375 some people just want to be able to vibe and groove to music. And honestly it’s kind of hard to do that when the artist you’re listening to is talking about morals and depression. I can see how NF’s style of music isn’t what people like. Of course, there’s some (such as the people who listen to NF), who prefer his style of morals and talk about depression because it helps them and they can relate. It’s honestly just a shame that such an overwhelming amount of people prefer the “mumble rap”, and the people who DON’T talk about morals and depression. It puts NF in a position where he has a lot of recognition and clout, but as a rapper is never rated as a highly as he deserves to be when it comes to skill and talent.
@@The_Cheezit_Man to many people, music is just a trivial thing to enjoy so they don't dig much into lyrics and beat production. But it's a shame that there is a general perception about lyrical rap, it is often labeled as "corny" or eminem clone. I'm so mad because i know so people like that, people often goes "why you keep listening to white rap? How about some black rap like DaBaby or Denzel Curry", don't get me wrong, those are good rappers but i enjoy NF more. This isn't just a problem for NF, people like Hopsin, Logic, even Eminem have the same issue. The mainstream hiphop fans are just straight up cancerous, one good example is Fananto's live chat

Every single song on this mixtape is an absolute pleasure to listen to. Layers is completely different to anything he's done before and That's a Joke is a lyrical masterpiece. Drifting is a ride he takes you on and Prideful is just a sit back relax and admire the genius of this man. Those are my thoughts on the songs you have left you could literally react to any of them and you will enjoy every second.

@@lilwave7619 I've been listening to NF since Therapy Session released. I've been on the journey and I've watched him grow and improve as an artist over the past few years. What's different about Layers is the beat switch and the transition catches you off guard especially the first time you hear it, he switches up the flow so often that the whole vibe of the song changes every time.
This song is going to make me go to a concert of his. I want to hear thousands signing that hook.

I saw someone say that this song seems like a sequel to "Only" that was in The Search. In Only, he says he feels alone and awful, but surely he can't be the only person in the world that feel like this right now, and now in THIS song, he's been assured by fans that we're all a family and support each other, so now he's giving us that same reassurance back and saying that he knows for a fact that we aren't alone and have each other's backs. I love it so much. I can already see myself crying to this song when I need it

One of my favorite NF songs, I’ve listened to it multiple times a day since it came out. One of the best NF albums, great to see him improving so much
NF will always be great cause he’s so relatable and cares deeply about his fans

i have been an NF fan since the day he popped up and for me this is my favorite song that hes done. the production behind it and the cadence switches and melodies. its just perfect for me. the dude is a genius.
Music is NF, NF is Music. His passion to the craft is beyond what most artists dream of.
This man is a LEGEND.
It's fun listening to nf. After really digging into his catalog. You learn that he raps with his emotions. It's fun trying to figure out who is he rapping with.
I absolutely believe this is album worthy. I have a theory that like the message of the song, with no ability to predict tomorrow, this was a message he wanted to get out there now and not wait for that “someday” album release. So here it is 🙂. Totally my theory based in absolutely no basis of known fact.

I have mental health issues that I always wonder if any artists I listen to struggle with as well, NF may not sare the same diagnosis as me, but he really makes me feel understood it's a total trio. The way he incorporates "cliche" phrases into his lyrics, makes them sound nice with cadences, and flow into bars, its actually pretty hard, so awesome
The last hook reminds me of My Stress. I probably don't have to explain, y'all get me
