  • Caleb Martin has signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. He's been a reliable playoff performer for the Miami Heat, shooting over 40% beyond the three point line in the playoffs for the past two seasons. Does he improve the 76ers odds of making it to the NBA Finals or is this move not enough to make them more of a favorite in the East?

Sixers are the Biggest threat to the Celtics ! They just acquired Caleb Martin who was a pain for J Brown & Tatum defensively in the playoffs .Morey & the Sixers are still considering making another move ...ie. D. Finney-Smith , M. Morris, KJ Martin, K. Lowery, Etc...Also, sixers were not satisfied with Paul Reed and they waived him.. They had to do that to acquire Caleb Martin who Miami had made a bigger offer $$$ to.

They drafted Adem Boma who is basically just a more athletic Paul Reed. Idk if they found anyone who wanted to give a 2nd for him. Did not want to player trade because do not want to take on any cap. They had to waive or trade to get Martin

They waived him to create cap to sign another player or two which was Martin

@@Maulbetter123 I’m surprised they couldn’t find a trade partner for him. Must be due to the size of his contract.

They still need a tall PG like a 6’7 athletic Penny Hardaway type. Maxey in truth is an undersized SG at 6’1 maybe 6’2 playing Point.

Lol nobody has that so why do the Sixers need it?

@@iDoWhatiGottaDo so Maxey can guard the opposing team PG on D while playing SG on offense and the 6’7 true PG can run the offense while checking the other team 2G

@@iDoWhatiGottaDo At the end of the day they are going to need a true point guard cause Maxey ain’t giving you 8 to 10 assist per game he’s an undersized 2 Guard and not a Point Guard. Also at 6’1 he can’t guard most 2 guards who are above 6’4.

@@ousmandiallo2823Maxey was already averaging like 11 assists during his time as Pg while still scoring in the 20s. Reese can literally do anything he puts his mind to.

Celtics don't got 1,Knicks don't got 1, heat don't got 1, and neither does Milwaukee. Sixers don't mfn need 1 neither. As long as embiid, maxey, and George can get you 5-6 assist you good. Ontop of that we have better role players who won't be in constant slumps so maxey should average more assist.
