When I was 23 I saved 100k and I'll tell you what. I never knew what I needed to know back then. Because I had to goals. And now that I have grown a bit older and am a bit wiser I understand what I had so I will be doing it again and investing it and buying a home. And I think I might just start posting it on this account
Awesome job I started my first 100 envelope challenge on Dec 1, 2023 just to get out of debt and I am also doing other savings challenges to set aside for what we need. I am almost 61 and I wished this was around when I was in my 20's better late than never. I have learned so much from these videos. I found these videos being advertised on Facebook passed it up until one day I started thinking about it and then I started watching these videos on RUclips. Best decision I made now my family is supporting my savings.

It’s amazing how my brain can help comprehend that I was able to do this challenge, and it was very likely that I would complete it-BUT I vividly remember my beginnings and my struggles… I am so humbled that I was able to do this!! Thank you!!! I did the 100 envelope challenge for the first time in 2022… I stumbled across a video at Christmas in 2021 and I jumped in headfirst… the first time I did it. I did it the traditional way and save $5050. I’ve been budgeting for over 19 years, but I wasn’t great at saving…. This challenge has changed all of that. I would highly recommend for anyone to give it a try!! I’m not gonna lie after about three months it does get super challenging… I think we start off with a lot of adrenaline and motivation but it does take some mental capacity to stay consistent! Of course, I’ve I’ve had to make some sacrifices too… the second go round wasn’t so hard mentally, but it is still challenging to stay consistent of stuffing the envelopes! @BudgetStuffSaveRepeat We have our mortgage and a small loan on the home we built for my parents (attached to our home-they both have dementia). We used to have lots of discretionary income when we both worked, but I have stepped away from being a Realtor to care for momma and daddy full time, so we are down to one income, but it's all good! Thank you!!! I did the 100 envelope challenge for the first time in 2022… I stumbled across a video at Christmas in 2021 and I jumped in headfirst… the first time I did it. I did it the traditional way and save $5050. I’ve been budgeting for over 19 years, but I wasn’t great at saving…. This challenge has changed all of that. I would highly recommend for anyone to give it a try!! I’m not gonna lie after about three months it does get super challenging… I think we start off with a lot of adrenaline and motivation but it does take some mental capacity to stay consistent! Of course, I’ve I’ve had to make some sacrifices too… the second go round wasn’t so hard mentally, but it is still challenging to stay consistent of stuffing the envelopes! Thank you so much for being here!!!

You absolutely can do it too!!! I think we should remove the timeframe and just be as consistent as we can be… it doesn’t matter when you finish it will come in handy!! I’ve been budgeting for over 20 years so I don’t have much debt… just my mortgage and my husband’s truck!! we are at the point in our financial journey that we have more discretionary income!! my husband and I both get allowance and I use my allowance for these challenges!! no matter what your situation is you can always save even if it’s a small amount eventually it will grow!! I greatly appreciate you being!!!

We used to have lots of discretionary income when we both worked, but I have stepped away from being a Realtor to care for momma and daddy full time, so we are down to one income, but it's all good! Thank you SO much!!! it really is freeing… I think the hard part is figuring out what we really want!! I have been on a journey to learn how to care for myself completely!! I could have saved like this years ago, but I didn’t see it… I still had a poor mentality… now that I can “have what I want.” The material things don’t have much value…. I can see more value in my husband and my children. I’m learning to be content and it’s a peace that I can’t explain. I greatly appreciate you being here.

Thanks for subbing! I greatly appreciate your support!! Yes, we have debt but it’s only my husband‘s truck and our mortgage! I found Dave Ramsey back in 2003, so I have been budgeting for over 20 years!!! Although I was great at telling my money, where to go, I wasn’t always saving as well as I could have!! I rested on the fact that we have 401(k)s and real estate!! But the closer I get to retirement the more cash on hand, I want to see!! I found the 100 envelope challenge Christmas 2021 and I completed it for the first time in 2022 for $5050!!! I was able to do it in eight months the first time and that made me realize that with more intentionality I could save more!! I’m enjoying the journey and (RUclips) has been very fun and supportive for me!! I have a $15,000 goal for next year that I’ve already started!!! Thank you so much for being here. I greatly appreciate you!!!

@@SummerSorrowremember, that the road will be bumpy at times, but you can do it…slow and steady wins the race. You’ll have to make some sacrifices (it’s the only way to change your muscle memory and mentality to spending and saving!) I promise it will be worth the sacrifices!!!
