  • Hey guys! In this video, I continue my way to Seattle, Washington aboard a United Airlines B737-900ER in Economy Class from Denver, one of UA's largest hubs. While not United's best hard product, their B737-900ERs certainly aren't the worst they have in terms of mainline medium-haul aircraft and much better than their A320s like in my last video. They are equipped with WiFi, free IFE, PTVs at every seat, power outlets, and decently comfortable seats. The big negative would be the legroom which is better on their MAX aircraft. This aircraft's cabin was also a bit on the old side, but it didn't bother me. United isn't one of my favorite airlines to fly as they do seem pretty generic, but it could get worse. The big plus of this flight was the crew which just so happened to be on my previous flight as well, so I enjoyed having them again. Hope you guys enjoy!

    It’s always such a long roll when departing from Denver

    • @theroastedbean9866
      @theroastedbean9866 3 года назад +2

      That's because of how high it is up there, the air is thin so it takes longer to gain lift

    • @ahmedshakeel5112
      @ahmedshakeel5112 3 года назад

      @@theroastedbean9866 Your right, less air resistance means longer takeoff roll and runway length. And also Denver is beside the Rocky Mountains.

    • @GryphonWahle
      @GryphonWahle 3 года назад +3

      Also, 739's generally need a long take off roll. They don't like to lift off particularly quick.

    Wow, DIA is getting even more HUGE! I flew in and out of there in 2014, and I thought it was really big then. Thanks for the cool shots of Sea-Tac (the airport I've flown from/to the most, which keeps changing all the time!) and Seattle (haven't been downtown since the pandemic; just staying close to home a little north of the city). Your videography is excellent!

    I don't make yt comments very often, but I just want to thank you for your videos and the amount of detail you put into reviewing your flights, especially the small things like amenities and showing off all the airports.
    I'll be going on my first flight in over a decade very soon (to Denver as a matter of fact!) and have been extremely nervous about the whole thing, since it's been so long I don't know or remember what to expect. Your videos have helped ease my anxiety and have made me feel better prepared for my upcoming trip, and even a bit excited!

    Thanks for a trip down memory lane there in Seattle. Though it has been years since I was there last, everything seems pretty much the same just a tad more modern. I must get back there soon, I miss the fish and chips at Ivar's. I believe I mentioned in one of your previous vlogs, that my experience with United was that either the entire flight was fantastic or nothing was great about any part of it so I am glad your experience was good! Thanks.

Also took off on Runway 25 and it was AWESOME!! It was one of the STRAIGHTEST flights I've ever flown!! On my way home from Cancun!! International layovers here SUCK!! I almost missed my flight cause they damn workers were taking sooo damn long cause the airport's sooo long of a distance!! It's ridiculous. I shoulda got the other flight earlier on the same plane from CUN to DEN cause that thing almost left me there in Denver!! Haha!! That plane ride feels like driving to Seattle from Portland cause that also takes 2 & 45!! What was the registration number for this thing?

    At DIA,takeoff was on what I label as 'rental car runway'---to the left of the a/c is where all the rental car companies huddle together as well as the roadway leading eventually to central Denver--as you are an avgeek,surprised you didn't make mention of that Denver Air Dornier 328 behind you on takeoff nor of Sea-Tac's new airbridge--should make an effort to explore that structure! Did you overnight at the Hampton Inn or did you take the light rail to downtown for a hotel? Seattle is one place I'd move to in an instant but the cost of living is outrageous,apartment rents are stratospheric--never have to worry about hot,steamy weather unlike here in SE Texas,no fears of tropical storms and hurricanes! How about a post-Covid flight on that Lufthansa A340-300 instead? Not to be a grouch but technically,Boeing's HQ is in Chicago.
