  • The village of Rowland's Castle, Hampshire lies 8 miles to the north of Portsmouth on the 'Portsmouth Direct' railway line which runs from London Waterloo down to Portsmouth. The railway line was built in 1859 and was electrified in 1937.
The layout is 16'6" long and 11'6" wide including operating and storage space complete. It is viewed on 2 adjacent sides, one 16' long side and the right hand adjacent short length.
Train compositions and military units are all based on historical and first hand written and verbal accounts where ever possible and hopefully reflect the atmosphere of a very difficult time in our history.

That is really nice layout, always liked Rowland Castle Station.
(didn't know of the massive pillbox on the DownSide or the one in the village, destroyed? con-rail/feeder route is good)

The layout was made by Pete Goss and has been bought by the village for display.
