Barbering school here in Montreal Canada is like 3 to 6 months. I went, got my diploma and I feel not ready which ia unfortunate. However i'm looking to get into a shop to learn futher more. Just need to drop my fear of messing up and to make mistakes which I will. I need experience and progress. I believe tho
Uk have to have a city and guilds you have to do 3 levels before you can go out into industry it is a good basic thing first

thank you so much for this info i am about to get my GED and i live in JAX FL and after im going to start my classes and i dont know much about cutting hair ik a decent amount about styling and braiding and locking but i want to learn more about cutting and i just wanted some tips or suggestions about babrering ive never cut hair before but ive had a huge interest in it for about 2 years and id love to hear some feedback

I think school is a waste it’s very expensive and most theory. I think barbering should be practical all hands on no better school than being under a barber!
I used to think just like you but after years of barbering I plateaued and it was because I was missing all the theory I never wanted to pay attention during school. Knowing why you do something is as important as doing it. Thanks for sharing
