The angels canonically send people back in time, and in the episode blink a weeping angel touches this woman and it sends her to a field, the same place she was before just back in time. Obviously it'd be really hard for the mod to accomplish that so I guess they just made it teleport you to a village so that way if you were in your base or something it'd teleport you there, in hopes that it would make you think its an old town.
