I use forscore on my ipad and the tinydesk scanner app to scan. It's like adobe but I just usually export right after I'm done scanning a piece and put it on forscore and then delete it off of the scanner app (I can only have 2 documents going at once). I found it works really well and honestly never had a problem with it other than space.
Just realized that I never replied to this. I recently started using forscore and I'll definitely give the Tinydesk scanner app a try! Thank you Grace!
Great video thanks! I alphabetized my classical sheet music by composer in cardboard box binder files. Took all plastic rings out and use 1 staple in left upper corner.Pop & outdoor concerts in misc.choral and opera in a big plastic box. I have 40 years worth of orch music.i have a samsung music tablet for digital storage, stand and pedal.
Really love your video! Lots of information. If you had that many documents to scan I would have put the phone on a tripod/stand paralleled to your documents to get a better and steady take similar to a scanner.
Happy to help! I would recommend putting the music against a dark background, such as hardwood floors or a black table so it is more easily recognizable. I would also do one page at a time instead of scanning from directly on top of the stack.
Thanks for sharing this. You did a very professional job. Is there a product you know of that will allow you quickly turn from one song to the next w a pedal while performing?
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I use ForScore with my Pageflip Firefly pedal for moving between pages and pieces. If you go check out my recent video about my ForScore setup, I talk about creating a setlist, which allows you to move between pieces using the pedal.
Surely a flatbed scanner would be easier for loose pages like this? Books are harder to scan because you have to open them all the way and you end up breaking the spine of the book
Comment how you organize your music! Have a wonderful day 💕

Thank you, Carlos! I will definitely be using a tripod setup next time. If only I had the hands of a surgeon!
Thanks for the great info! Is there a trick to lining up the music before scanning so it’s not crooked on the page when photographed?

I totally understand! A lot of history and good memories with that music, but it's worth it to life a clutter-free and paper-free life.
