* OMG ~ I remember watching "Cecil & Beanny" after school in the 60s.. That name is Super-simple for former kids who watched & sang along.. Thanks for BoLo alerts..
My son loved his hot wheels and GI Joe, so many he never opened and I've still got them all, one say he will thank me lol TFS love these videos! If I find nos I just add to his collection
Hi love your channel, I have a question. One of my main thrift stores uses marker and grease pens to mark prices, which makes it difficult to remove the prices without staining damaging the item. I’ve been using furniture polish which seems to work well, but I’m wondering how you handle situations like this. Do you ever just cross out a tag you can’t remove without damaging the box?
If I can't remove it, I'll add a number to the front. so if something is marked 4.99, I'll add a 4 making it 44.99. Problem solved! Honestly though this doesn't happen often - if I think I can't remove the marking with Goo Gone once I get it home I may not purchase but I have most definitely done the 'add number' trick a few times where it makes sense to do so
I'm not sure if this will work but I saw a youtuber recommend Amodex ink and stain remover available on amazon for $12. It says it cleans marker, ink, crayon so it would probably be worth trying. It's eco-friendly.
I sold on Ebay for many years and specialised in toys and games (Australia), and originally sold old children's books. On books or boardgames, success removing the mark can depend on how long it has been there and matt vs glossy surface. Firstly make a judgement before purchase, but don't rule it out necessarlily. Here are a few methods that have worked for me. If you have a book, boardgame or toy packet, anything with a non glossy surface, try this. If the price is in black, take a black whiteboard marker, or dry erase marker, write over the price, then gently wipe or rub off with a tissue. This method is amazing on so many surfaces. Always do this first before engaging liquids 😁 Sometimes that won't work, most often because of the length of time it has been on there. You can sometimes carefully use the following method but you will usually get some surface damage in that spot, that's where a judgement call is needed. For plastic surfaces or glossy, here in Australia we don't have goo gone but I use eucaluptus oil (not actually oily, a thin liquid) which does the same thing. Also great for removing stubborn price stickers you want to remove. Non glossy or matt surfaces, my advice would be to carry a dry erase marker and if the price on it is a deal breaker, see if it will come off with that
My grandkids loved that plastic house lasted years good times.

Holy cow!
What’s your eBay store online?
You can't use Black Americana anymore. I just listed a postcard from 1909 and it was removed the next day because I used those keywords.
I understand the 'why' behind that - and that seller in this video left it out assuming they knew what we know
Using Black Americana will cause a trigger
