Her character has always been incredibly sympathetic from the very first second. Her story is just heart breaking and the worst thing is you know she’ll always go back to the Joker. Sad times.

I even have a photo of myself with that costume next to a lady with her female version of Joker taken at my local anime con as if Joker and Harley had their opposite genders flipped around. I find myself compared to her because I have autism. Can Harley also be autistic too? I think she is.

I like that in this movie Harley actually calls Poison Ivy Pam and Pammy since Pamela is her real name. Cuz i just find it weird to call her Ivy instead of her actual name
She prefers for her enemies to call her Poison Ivy. Pam was kind of like Selina pre-death in Batman Returns, mousy and powerless. Poison Ivy is the post form. But Harley knows her for her and knows she's still Pamela Lillian Isely. They're friends.

Melissa Rauch's Harley grew on me. Yeah, she doesn't sound as high pitched and childish as Arleen Sorkin, Hynden Walch and Tara Strong, but I love how she rapidly does a whole monologue begging Ivy to stop without taking a pause or even a breath. If this Harley wasn't designed to look so much like Arleen Sorkin's Harley, people might have been more accepting of a different voice.
Tbh this is my second most favorite one behind the original ofc, I like how all this was done

Ditto. I was so indignant when I first heard her voice in the trailer, but then ended up loving it when I watched the movie. For me, this voice and characterisation manages to capture the original B:TAS Harley, yet also add a different element of charm and fun.

This Harley isn’t perky and mischievous. She’s bitter and burnt out. She knows she ruined her life. Melissa Rauch’s performance conveyed that perfectly. Arleen Sorkin wouldn’t have been right for the role.

She’s gone toe to toe with Batman, Nightwing and Bstgirl. Without using her powers.
I just love how Harley starts off with the usual strategy she often uses with an angry Joker whenever she doesn’t agree with him, lying about being on his side so she can betray him later. But then one look from Ivy that shows she’s not buying it, and Harley drops the facade and is honest with her.
It makes sense that Harley’d still be afraid to do things differently, whether she trusts Ivy more and was on the heroes’ side or not, and that she’d try her _modus operani_ first. And it’s sweet that she decides to drop it and just tell the truth this time, just awkwardly begging her friend not to go through with it. It doesn’t turn out a whole lot better at first, but it does in the end.

Actually, Ivy has a point there... "the Earth is dying". I think it'd be great if superheroes fought against people who are hurting the planet just to become richer and richer (yeah, sure, without leaving aside Two-faces, the Joker, etc.). That'd be a great moral coming from the series. But I guess it's cooler just to fight against supervillains who became crazy after a life full of shit. Or even making the villains look like kind of the heroes, like I've recently seen in some series.
