Yes. Passing the WAPT is a prerequisite for your application to be considered, but admission thereafter is dependent on your academic rating within the remaining pool of applications. Your academic rating is based on the average of the last 2 years of your undergrad, or if you have a postgrad it would be based on the combined averages of the last year of your post grad in addition to the last year of your undergrad. Extra points to your academic rating are awarded for postgrads as follows: Honours degrees = 1 extra point, Masters degrees = 2 extra points and Doctorates = 3 extra points. Also added in are things like 1st author on academic publication and 1st degree holder in family (which will be asked on a form you will have to fill out prior to starting the test).
Yes but you have to do a year of varsity physics, chemistry and biology, you need a 60%+ for high school math and English unless you did them in university. Once you're done with that you can apply for GEMP. Also you need 60%+ average for your last 2 years of your degree. If you don't have that average, you can do your honours
