thank you for showing how to get the potions. I didn't know you can exchange energy for potions and that would have been a blessing since i have 9 characters now, 4 of them i haven't been on in a while

I havent really tried to expand my horizon when it comes to gathering.. i mostly gather meat and cook them for imperials.. might have to look into ways to turn in more profit.. Thanks for this Video Its really Helpful :D
Yes gathering can be very lucrative! Especially if you gather for your own boxes!

hey , i have played some mmo's before , im new at bdo , is making alt characters a must in this game?do i need to create other characters and lvl them up?like in the video we see you exploit multiple characters energy for potions , are there other uses for alts?i dont feel like lvl up more than one only.. my main .. nice videos im learning a lot from your guides
you can do the energy stuff I do in this video with a level 1 character. You don't have to level them at all (you might need to play the story until velia which is like 20 minutes).
Other things you can do with alts is set them up in front of bosses that spawn so you can just swap characters rather than run all the way there. Or you can use them as additional storage by parking them in front of a bank.
so question when i go up to him all i can do is go back, char(r), or exit is there a point you have to get to before this can be done?
wish there is a potion for 500 energy to trade in tired of switching my alt

is there no one else outside of the 3 beginning areas where i can exchange energy like in mediah or something?

Just out of curiosity, since Manos/loggia isn't level or lifeskill level bound, I assume transferring over all the gear to the alt and just gathering that energy away instead of turning it into a potion at 1:4 ratio would be a lot more profitable right?
The thing is, it would probably be more efficient but at the same time more effort. That character A wont be as strong to fight the mobs most likely for certain gatherings, B the characters overall value from said energy would be less because even with the max armor and accessories you still will be losing out on some mastery which could then make the value less.
BUT overall it still would most likely make you more just would take you a lot longer.

I tend to spend my alt energy on node investments, tbh i don't know if it is even worth it as my blood wolf drops seem pretty similar and i am on investment level 6.
If you can't lvl it to 10 before you're ready to switch to higher grind spot, then don't invest more energy.
Not sure if this is legit information but i've heard that you should only invest in nodes that you grind in for trash loot. Not necessarily nodes you life skill in.

Dont need the pearl shop tent to get the villa buff, you just have to go and buy the scroll in the desert
And you get a free tent from a quest
You can throw that theory in the bin if you’re trying to level your gathering...

Out of the box, Alustin, doesn't let you exchange your energy.. there must be a pre-quest. (no idea what that is)
Also, having as many alts as possible, farming on each one, is the best tip. before buying potions. ?
that's weird, I only know I did the quest to kill a weasal before talking to him. So maybe you have to do that? Or you might need like 20 affinity with him.
As far as efficiency - you need to decide that yourself. Gather on your main, then gather on an alt. If you have 200 energy, and make 50 mil on your main and 20 mil on your alt, you could turn that 200 energy into a potion and make another 12.5 mil on your main instead, saving you 4x the time of gathering, but making you less 7.5 million. Which is more valuable? your time or the money. I can't answer that

You have to get your Amity with him up to a certain level before you see the exchange option.
Why Energy recovers so slow when disconnected and such a system is required in the game is beyond my understanding.
They want you to live in the game
Unfortunately the game is full of afk or semi-afk profitable systems, so you have to use that to profit while recharging your energy, which means you basically can't turn off your PC ever again.

What a dumb mechanic. Having to spend 200 to get 50 on a different char. With all alts being parked around bosses running to Alustin is simply not an option.
OMG so many shit mechanics in this game.
