This one came out just in time!! I have a pear tree that needs to be pruned and I don't want to butcher it! Thanks.
appreciate the refresher Andy....very much the same my Dad taught me.
Thanks for sharing with us Megan and Andy. The pruning went well Andy, we had to use clothes line props under some limbs for our one cherry tree if it wasn't pruned just right some years. Supper sounded and looked good too. You all stay safe and keep up the great videos and the fun you all share . Fred and family.
Good video! I certainly learned a lot watching this video. Congratulations on the new baby heifer. Dutchess is a great name! Meagan, the dinner looked good. Thank you for another enjoyable video.
great job on the pruning....just did my pear trees here in Mississippi
I’m getting out and trimming on mine today. Today is the first day in a while that we’ve had ☀️.. I even bought some new pruners yesterday. So y’all’s video came just in time. In case something makes more sense to me. I do have lots of good mulch I got out from our barn and coops, ready to go around them too.
Blessings from TN❤
Thank you now I know where to start on the fruit trees.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, have a blessed week
That was a really great video. That's been so helpful to me. Thankyou from the UK
Thank you for your video. Your little heifer is so beautiful. I learned a lot on how to prune the trees. I wish I had some of your meatloaf. It always looks delicious.
Another great video Andy and Megan thank you for sharing. You’re gonna have such wonderful beautiful fruit to eat and can , make pies Megan you’ll be busy and I can’t wait to see them they’ll be so pretty I love the way you cook. Miss seeing the kiddos. Thank you guys for sharing.❤
I was sitting with my 94 year old neighbor one day and we were discussing pruning apple trees. He said I was pruning wrong. Not enough. He said you should be able to toss a tomcat right up the center of the tree all the way to the top without him hitting a limb. 😳 He was pretty much right ya know. 😬
Thanks for the video, I needed this. I'm lost as a goose on fruit trees. I'll be pruning soon. Thanks again!
Glad you did this video, inspired me to prune mine... had to order new pruners, mine must have walked off...lol. I try to keep my trees short so I can harvest from the ground.
Dwarf fruit trees are hard to find in our area of south central NC. Even semi dwarf grow well over 15 feet down here. If anyone knows a source for dwarf fruit trees in south central NC, please post at least the name of the place. Thanks everyone😊✌️
We have 2 old timey Pear Trees that we can from, we hard prune every 2 years the year we prune we get much bigger Pears 🍐
Andy you got them trees looking good
You two are awesome!!
Loved it guys god bless yall.
Thanks Andy.👍
I was always told that fruit tree roots like to grow out instead of down because they're such heavy feeders. So they just don't have big taproots, and because of that are often wiggly lol.
I am gonna try air layering some of mine to make more. Danny on deep south showed how he does it
Amazing subject, stay warm. 😅
Thank you for this video!

I have a peach tree I need to do that to! Blessings!❤
❤ Thank you again
Good Evening
I sure would love to see a video of your meatloaf recipe. That was just a teaser at the end. Lol. It looks scrumptious! Great tutorial though, I learned a little something.
Thank you for the information Andy. We have a Satsuma plum & a nectarine. Our peach tree died & we are thinking about apple trees but we weren't real sure how to go about pruning fruit trees. We have an established Sycamore that we have to have trimmed from time to time & a fruitless mulberry (semi dwarf) that we can handle but we didn't know if fruit trees could be trimmed the same way. Thanks again Andy, appreciate it.
Hello from Ireland
Enjoyed this video, learning more reach episode. my apple trees have more suckels than branches
Hi from Oregon😊
Big job! I never know what I'm doing.
Love watching your videos . How and when should prune roses?
It depends on your zone……I’m in south Mississippi and we prune in February.

I just pruned my trees yesterday. Mine aren’t as mature as yours just yet.
do you need to sanitize the clippers after each clippings? to stop disease transfers?
Great video! When do you fertilizer your fruit trees and what kind of fertilizer do you use.
Thank You. If you can't or aren't supposed to be climbing ladders prune so you don't have to
The wind clean em out they got to have somebody who knows s
❤
Very nice work, do you ever paint the large cuts by using pruning tar paint over them to help stop disease or bugs from getting into the cuts? Thanks for the video.
We have deer that will bully our little trees with their horns when in velvet.
What's the weather really looks like it's getting warmer down that way I live in Ohio we've got ice all over the trees up here
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👋
So needed this information! I know a lot of folks are against sprays or fertilizer we are not those folks do you use any of those, you can recommend?
I have heard, but can’t verify, that the morning after a frost… if you will take the water hose and spray the frost off your trees, you can save your blooms. I’d be interested to know if anyone has tried this and if it worked.
Question ? Do y'all know if when you plant a peach seed. Will they sprout from the seed pit or from the white seed inside the pit i have tried both ways with no luck. And it was very hard getting the pit open to get to the white seed inside of the pit. How do yall hrow or plant them.
Let nature take care of em, just give em a good trim once a year…😊
..isn't that her first baby.. 💜
❤🌹🌷❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
I've got a peach tree that has a jelly substance coming out of it where I pruned it last winter. Do you know what that might be or what might be wrong with it would it be blight or something else?
Sap it's healing it's self
Do you keep the limbs to smoke with
I have terrible problems with the squirrels eating in my fruit trees all day what can I do do you know
The rule is only prune fruit trees in month with R in it
I cut my grapes back hope I didn't kill them.
Getting ready to trime some cherry trees. Tried sending you an email last week. Can you check your spam file. 😊
Isn't it a normal process to sterilize the pruners between trees to prevent spreading disease? I prune my own fruit trees and I try to remember to sterilize my pruners as recommended by Willis Orchards.
Sterilizing is with heat...do you mean sanitizing with alcohol?
@ yes
Hopefully the frost won't get to your trees this year !
I save my clips for smoking meat
Look like crab apples now, no harvest in last 3 years
