The hurricane passed barely east of Atlanta and we were fine. Not so much for western North Carolina. Some of my favorite riding destinations were devastated. Thanks for watching!
I know the boxer engine is iconic, but I can’t get over how they sound. That bike looks like the love child of an Indian Scout and a Harley Nightster. It would probably easily outlast both of them. You sound like you have a cold. Take care, buddy.
It was the first time I’ve ridden a BMW with that boxer engine. I thought it sounded good and it really was powerful and smooth, but just looks a little odd with the cylinder heads sticking out like they do. I’d like to ride the Triumph Speedmaster and compare it to this BMW R12. They are similar in price and would be interesting to compare. It looks like the Speedmaster is slightly bigger and would be more comfortable for me but who knows. One thing I didn’t mention in the video was that the BMW R12 did not have a fuel gage. I have no idea why the smart Germans left that off. I am recovering from my annual cold. Thanks for the good wishes.
Good to see you out and about again and hope you survived the recent hurricanes without damage.
