good catch of the knee by chad in round 1. i don't know if he needed to in order to not get hit by it, but chad fluently spun right out of that position something of steadily. connor had some interesting brief striking motions and wasn't leaving himself open too bad on the ground, while chad seemed to do good getting things going when he needed to.
Herb Dean giving Conor a gift from Dana there. Anybody else and he would have let it go until the next round, but Conor was getting stomped so he seized the opportunity to give him the win.
@@Suplex479 you feel so? It was obvious that Khabib didnt go for any submission but wanted to smash him. The Gaethje fight was the oppositie and he went for the finish from the first second. I cannot see how Mcgregor was defensivley better than Dustin and Al. Especially Al defended some take downs. How many did Connor defend? 2 in the whole fight? I cannot remember Dustin well enoug. Anyways Connor couldnt handle the wrestling at all. Not too much of a shame as nobody could. But in the mendes fight you see that he really lacks ground game. No question he was a great stand up fighter, all I am saying is, that sooner or later somebody would have exposed his defincies anyways. As in the last Piorer did.
@@felixs6318 Gaetjhe was taken down immediately and subbed immediately, Took Khabib 5 minutes to get through Conors guard and then he lost a round, Laquinta was dominated the whole time only defending submissions. Dustin was down and subbed immediately without even resisting, only an obviously not locked in guillotine. And Conor wasn't in his prime. He still would've lost in his prime I think, but Conor is the best fighter Khabib ever thought, Islam is better than Khabib I think.
@@Suplex479 Dustin’s takedowndefense was pretty good actually. Way better than connors. But Khabib really went 100% on him and went straight to the submission. That’s what I already meant. He clearly wasn’t interested in finishing Connor quickly. He said it himself „he wants to maul him and have fun with him“. Dustin was the only fight he didn’t want to make any show. Saying that I agree that Dustin’s ground game is worse than connors, when he is finall taken down. Yea Connor won a round. But because Khabib choose to stand with him in the third, when Connor was already tired. He could have destroyed him in every round. That being said I think Connor is the best stand up fighter of all mentioned. But I think that he never had the chance staying undefeated even in his prime. His ground game is too bad. Dustin and mendes showed that he has huge difficulties there. Knocking everybody in the first round won’t work everytime.

Negative ghost rider. That’s the exact same stoppage McGregor had v. Siever
Chad just didn’t have the tank to go past two rounds. It woulda been same outcome in the third
Chad quit. Notice he didn't protest lol...come on dude

Chad had to defeat 2 men in order to win that night. Herb was against him from the start.

Relentless body shots, masterful precision, Prime Conor was something else
and back then pretty bad in wrestling and takewdown defense aswell.
it was just a matter of time till he would get outmatched on the ground.
@@felixs6318 out of his prime he was better defensively against Khabib than Dustin, Gaetjhe, Al laquinta, and anyone else except for Tibau.
