Add Christian Coleman to leg one because he's the best out of the blocks and they could be unbeatable. The problem always comes down to Team USA dropping the stick, running out if their lane or handoff's outside the zone.
Unless they've changed the rules, USTF can choose other runners as alternates to run prelim heats and/or to run the final. A good example was 1992 where Carl Lewis only qualified for the long jump and wound up anchoring the 4x100 finals relay.
@@stevewise1656 I knew about all of that because I was competing and Running 200m and Long jumper for Seton Hall University back in 92' they will most likely do the same for Lyles but will see in just a couple more months Trayvon Bromell will be back in the mix
@@05YAMAHA-R1_RUFFRYDER Bromell is unpredictable. One race he looks unbeatable and the next he's near last place. A friend and I both spent a week at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene. If Lyles runs the 100 and does well, some big names won't qualify.
Who taught these runners ( most of them) how to do handoffs ? The correct way is to crouch in a side running stance , wait for runner to hit yellow mark on track and it's up for him to catch you at 3/4 speed before you go outside the designated 6ft box , the runner should lean towards receiving runners outstretched hand , and receiving runners must pull the baton out of his hand , Reciever doesn't break stride nor runs without the baton , giving runner doesn't let go baton until Reciever yanks baton ..... keep in mind the giver runner yells out stick to trigger Reciever to take off running / grabbing the baton 🧐
For anyone wondering why Kyree King was picked over Christian Miller. Its called experience in a Championship Relay. The US men are notorious for bad handoffs. They can’t afford to take the new kid on the block…

Super Facts Christian should be leading off but 1st and foremost they have to make it thru the OLYMPIC TRIALS prior to Olympics
