Baroque violin practice: Bach + Alexander Technique (

In this video, I share how I approach my baroque violin practice and experiment with musical expression in Bach, after months without practice, applying my Alexander Technique skills for the most effective practice. (Skip to 20:16 if you just want to hear the music.)
9:22 3-Part Experiment suggested by Primal Alexander teacher Mio Morales:
1 - Play without any special intention, not paying a lot of attention
2 - Play it "FLAT", without dynamics, phrasing, or anything special
3 - Use Alexander Technique constructive thinking, play it "FLAT" again.
I was amazed to find that #3 (20:16) sounded the most interesting BY FAR - not at all "flat"!

My first time through a piece of music is exploring the direction it takes me to. So starting at the end measure by measure I learn from the last note to the first note, but its really never quite minted or struck in duplication of the music itself only different everytime. I love where music takes me by note after wrote. Luv yur violin and the freedom of all expression and the lack thereof as well.
