Sir, greetings from Pakistan. Brilliant stuff indeed and your reactions doing full justice to it as ever. We call all praise for God the Almighty as "Hamd". In which the Holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) is praised is known as "Naat" whereas all other spiritual stuff in praise of some companions of the Prophet and all saints etc. is called "Kalaam". This rendition of very famous "Hamd" "Wohi Khuda Hai" by Atif Aslam was beautifully done and arranged by Coke studio. Best wishes for the growth of this fantastic channel. With warm regards
Muslims also believe in same God (Allah in Arabic), and also consider Jesus (Peace be upon Him), David (Peace be upon Him) and Moses (Peace be upon Him) as our Prophets aswell and their Holy books Tawrat (Torah), Zabur (Psalms), Injil (Gospel) and Quran, also Scrolls of Moses (Peace be upon Him) & Abraham (Peace be upon Him) and words of Adam and all prophets who came in between, while our Last Prophet is Muhammad (Peace be upon Him). Just FYI
Lovely reaction. Its a hymn, so yes, reverential and devotional song. The bit at the end, (invoking the blessing on Muhammad and his family etc) with the pin drop silence - no music, is because its part of a prayer, in fact, part of every single prayer (5 times a day) for Muslims, so no musical accompaniment to that. The full set of verses in that prayer go on to bless Abraham and all of Abraham's family and descendants so all the prophets in the Islamic belief system.
