we are going to Jeju together and lets have a girls night those 2 sentence as well made it too much for me but Ali saying Sang Woo's name again and again in a more sadder tone realising he's been played and seeing him cry broke me only thing worse was when the old man said we are gganbu I am still crying even though this is the second time I have watched this episode it's too much.

There is a lot of talk about that out there-I have heard that the creator does not want to do another season, but…I think mass popularity and money might win the day here, as it often does. We’ll just have to see. I’m actually OK with the ambiguous ending of the first season, if that’s where the entire series ends. But if they decide to do any more, well, I’ll certainly be watching!
I cried a little bit about the Infinity war finger snap scene with Spiderman, I kept my tears in. But this one episode is the first time it made me cry out of watching any tv show or movies, I couldn't hold it in
The fact that they only introduced Jiyeong last episode and it seemed like she'd be more of a side character but she had us all bawling our eyes out this time is some amazing writing. I went into this ep knowing this was a real killer and thought I could make it without bawling, but I was already tearing up when Gi-Hoon gave his jacket to Il-nam. By the end I was a total mess. :'(
Episode 6 was the most emotional, best, and hardest hitting episode out of every single one. The music, plot twists, having multiple characters not wanting to die just plays with so many emotions its crazy. Def hit me hard in the feels

As a Korean guy who grew up in Korea during my childhood, I played all the marble games shown in the show when I was young (even vs odd number, marble throwing to the pond, marble throwing close to the wall, etc).. Even the marbles they used were exactly the same marbles I used back in my childhood. Very nostalgic.. Welcome to Korean show .. T_T.
As someone who grew up in Pakistan, I'd wipe the floor with you in marbles if your games are this easy lol. The hole we throw the marbles in is only as big as the marble itself. It was hard to believe when Ali said he'd never play marbles before.

@@colby_247 Yeah. Netflix should give the option to watch with subtitles that have notes on cultural nuances. I'm not fluent in Korean but I can say that by far Squid Game is one of the most inaccurately subtitled Korean shows I've ever watched.
This episode was hard. So many emotions I bawled like a baby watching it the first time and cried again watching this review. Kind of amazed you called the old man faking the dementia through this episode.
The old man said when they played marble. He act like dementia. But when game going to final. Old man said "I lose again." (또/tto) means again. He remember everything when they played. Just pretend it
I CRIED! Like holding in my sobs. I NEVER cry during movies or shows but this one got to me. Just imagining myself there and knowing I'm going to live and they're going to die. Heartbreaking. And when he says "We're ganbuu"!

This was an EXTREMELY sad EP, I'm not a person that easily gets tears but man this EP made my eyes watery! If I didn't hold back, tears are coming out for sure 😩😭.

SPOILER: What makes her sacrifice even more saddening is that Kang Sae Byeok doesn’t get to save her mom or meet her younger brother again.
Love it how you're so cool calm and collected when analyzing and guessing the plot with your reasoning, then become so emotional and overwhelmed with feelings from time to time - just the human touch we need. Very similar to the drama itself ;)

Your video would pop up to a lot of Korean searches and related suggested videos. Seriously, I became so invested in some of these characters and was rooting for them so hard. This episode made me cry like a baby. It really hit the heart. I binged this whole show in one day, I was hooked and had to see how it played out. Great stuff.
Ji-yong’s death was most upsetting to me. The way she died just-ahh her last words just killed me emotionally “I am honered, to be your partner” and she kept smiling the whole time……. I’m gonna go have a breakdown now.

Very emotional, a roller coaster of feels that is typical of Korean movies/shows. They are the masters of genre mashups and intertwining stories. I always compare Korean cinema to Korean cuisine. It’s about harmony and experiencing all sorts of sensations and tastes. It all blends together seamlessly with such pleasing appeal. It’s a thriller, horror, drama, action, comedy all rolled in one. Another great example is Train to Busan. I’ve never cried more watching a movie, let alone a zombie film. And props to you for figuring out some of the little details. Clearly you are vested in the series and enjoying the nuances. The ending will surprise you. Thanks for your reactions!
기훈과 할아버지 커플얘기도 슬펐지만 목사아버지에게 성폭행당하고 엄마를 잃고 결국 아버지를 죽인 소녀의 죽음이 너무 슬펐습니다. 그렇게 힘든 삶을 살고도 자기는 아무것도 없다고 짝에게 양보하고 잘 살아 나가라고 하는 말이 너무 가슴이 아팠습니다. 많은 유튜버들이 그장면을 많이 넘겼는데 이분은 자세히 나와서 좋았습니다.
Translation: The stories of Gi-hoon etc. were quite sad as well but the story of the girl being sexually abused by her father, losing her mother, and eventually taking the life of her father was really sad. Giving her place to her partner, telling her to live her life and that she has nothing to live for after living such a hard life struck my heart. A lot of youtubers skim past/don't show that scene but I liked that this person included it in the review.

This episode is gotta the most top 10 saddest episode of the entire world. I'm mad, and sad. I probably cried for like 6 times now, my eyes are getting pretty red. Dude, I didn't expect that this episode is going to be the saddest..
Ji-Young was so thoughtful and considerate that at the very end she did everything in her power to take the load off Sae-Byeok's shoulders telling her "thank you", that it wasn't her fault. The same with the Oh-Il-Nam the old man. Also, "Sae-Byeok" in Korean means "dawn". In Korean "hyung" means "older brother" and is very informal/loving in a language and culture where formalities/etiquette mean everything, you'd *only ever* call someone "hyung" if you're blood, or very close and only if they permit you to do so. Until the very end, Ali was calling Sang-Wu "hyung" because he genuinely trusted and cared for him.
Well he is too kind and honest like real pakistan people because i go there before and they all just like ali, most of them dont want money when i buy some snack/street food they just give it for free especially with tourist because they culture to treat the guest(tourist) with kind,the media just make pakistan bad, but no the people is very kind ali going that far is already amazing

I've watched my fair share of kdramas that have made me cry pretty hard, but this episode had me bawling like an absolute baby, to the point where I ended up with a headache. Il Nam was the true chad all along, and he deserved better

I wrapped up the entire series in 1 day and that's not something I usually do. It was really a standout concept, executed sensationally. Not sure if you're done watching through yet but once you are, I made my first video about Easter eggs/hidden foreshadowing they included in the show that I only noticed after the fact. It really helps illustrate just how well the show was made and thought up. my heart shattered into a billion pieces while watching this episode and yet I couldn’t shed a single tear but on the inside I was crying a waterfall. This was all cause I got spoiled if I wasn’t my country would be flooding now 🙂
Kang Sae-byok's character building was so well done. I was barely keeping it together, then saw a tear stream down her face and i lost it... non stop tears. 😭😭😭 Poor Ji-young. Played the game because she had nowhere else to go....didn't leave the game because she had no reason... 🥺 i can't help but think of how many people feel this way... 😔

I don't cry to shows or movies but this... this broke my heart like glass that old man was so innocent and as soon as I saw him in red light green light I was like "damn this guy is such a badå$$" and ever since then I rooted for him ❤
This is by far the best episode of the show imo, and the favourite to be my favourite TV episode of the year. Player 240 is one of those minor characters that sometimes become the most talked about. She had only few scenes but she was brilliant in them. Eventhough I was convinced who will win, I still cried, and I still tear up when I watch it. The acting is fantastic, and the writing is great. It present us with all range of human behaviours.
Got hooked after 1st episode after hearing about how amazing this show is. I was binging the episodes, up until the end of episode 6. Didn't expect the show to have me crying for 15 min straight. Episode 6 absolutely wrecked me!! But hats off to the writing and acting in this show. Such good character development. Okay...I'm going back in!
I swear this episode broke me so much 4 times, First, Ali and Sangwoo, then the two girls, then The old man and 456, then the last and the most painful one is the husband and wife. I mean, OMG, that's too cruel, imagine going against your wife/husband and the loser dies? i would rather take my life as well.
I couldn't stop crying so much through all of this. The music, the emotions....gah! You were like me and saw ahead what we thought could happen, and when they did, the waterworks came. I just wanted to give you a huge hug.
The part that made me cry the most was the Old Man's 😭 He literally gave his last marble and knew he was lying all along, but he still considered him as his friend and buddy. Sangwoo did ali so bad like bruh, he really did that to ali just to win, ali won fairly, ali even gave sangwoo a chance so that he wouldn't die, ali respected him and treated him like an older brother, yet he betrayed him and left him dead on the ground 😭 I really respected the other girl, she sacrified herself just so the other one can live, because she still has a future and she must live on. That's why i respect her so much and why that scene made me cry 😭 I'm not really the type of person who cries during a movie or a show, but this one hits differently. This episode is a masterpiece, everything was perfectly executed well. Love it
The ending is crazy but I loved it. I cried during this episode too. I rarely cry at sad scenes but this one got me. I binged the whole show in one night.

I watched episode 6 at 2:00 in the morning and when all those people died I couldn’t stop crying. That was probably the safest episode ever but on episode 8 or 9 when the girl with the bangs dies it’s sad too
i actually cried for the first time in my life (from a story) i never cried from a manga or a book story i never cried from a movie or a series but this one finished me !

This was an EXTREMELY sad EP, I'm not a person that easily gets tears but man this EP made my eyes watery! If I didn't hold back, tears are coming out for sure 😩😭.

Love it how you're so cool calm and collected when analyzing and guessing the plot with your reasoning, then become so emotional and overwhelmed with feelings from time to time - just the human touch we need. Very similar to the drama itself ;)

I thought I was a robot without any emotion, but I cried so hard on Ep 6 for the first time in my entire life.
Seriously, I became so invested in some of these characters and was rooting for them so hard. This episode made me cry like a baby. It really hit the heart. I binged this whole show in one day, I was hooked and had to see how it played out. Great stuff.

Very emotional, a roller coaster of feels that is typical of Korean movies/shows. They are the masters of genre mashups and intertwining stories.
I always compare Korean cinema to Korean cuisine. It’s about harmony and experiencing all sorts of sensations and tastes. It all blends together seamlessly with such pleasing appeal. It’s a thriller, horror, drama, action, comedy all rolled in one. Another great example is Train to Busan. I’ve never cried more watching a movie, let alone a zombie film.
And props to you for figuring out some of the little details. Clearly you are vested in the series and enjoying the nuances. The ending will surprise you. Thanks for your reactions!

Ji-Young was so thoughtful and considerate that at the very end she did everything in her power to take the load off Sae-Byeok's shoulders telling her "thank you", that it wasn't her fault. The same with the Oh-Il-Nam the old man. Also, "Sae-Byeok" in Korean means "dawn".
In Korean "hyung" means "older brother" and is very informal/loving in a language and culture where formalities/etiquette mean everything, you'd *only ever* call someone "hyung" if you're blood, or very close and only if they permit you to do so. Until the very end, Ali was calling Sang-Wu "hyung" because he genuinely trusted and cared for him.

Not sure if you're done watching through yet but once you are, I made my first video about Easter eggs/hidden foreshadowing they included in the show that I only noticed after the fact. It really helps illustrate just how well the show was made and thought up.

Kang Sae-byok's character building was so well done. I was barely keeping it together, then saw a tear stream down her face and i lost it... non stop tears. 😭😭😭 Poor Ji-young. Played the game because she had nowhere else to go....didn't leave the game because she had no reason... 🥺 i can't help but think of how many people feel this way... 😔

This is by far the best episode of the show imo, and the favourite to be my favourite TV episode of the year. Player 240 is one of those minor characters that sometimes become the most talked about. She had only few scenes but she was brilliant in them.
Eventhough I was convinced who will win, I still cried, and I still tear up when I watch it. The acting is fantastic, and the writing is great. It present us with all range of human behaviours.
Got hooked after 1st episode after hearing about how amazing this show is. I was binging the episodes, up until the end of episode 6. Didn't expect the show to have me crying for 15 min straight. Episode 6 absolutely wrecked me!! But hats off to the writing and acting in this show. Such good character development. Okay...I'm going back in!

I swear this episode broke me so much 4 times, First, Ali and Sangwoo, then the two girls, then The old man and 456, then the last and the most painful one is the husband and wife. I mean, OMG, that's too cruel, imagine going against your wife/husband and the loser dies? i would rather take my life as well.
I started bawling my eyes out when the old man gave the last marble to him, bruh
I couldn't stop crying so much through all of this. The music, the emotions....gah! You were like me and saw ahead what we thought could happen, and when they did, the waterworks came. I just wanted to give you a huge hug.
The part that made me cry the most was the Old Man's 😭
He literally gave his last marble and knew he was lying all along, but he still considered him as his friend and buddy.
Sangwoo did ali so bad like bruh, he really did that to ali just to win, ali won fairly, ali even gave sangwoo a chance so that he wouldn't die, ali respected him and treated him like an older brother, yet he betrayed him and left him dead on the ground 😭
I really respected the other girl, she sacrified herself just so the other one can live, because she still has a future and she must live on. That's why i respect her so much and why that scene made me cry 😭

I watched episode 6 at 2:00 in the morning and when all those people died I couldn’t stop crying. That was probably the safest episode ever but on episode 8 or 9 when the girl with the bangs dies it’s sad too
