Don't know if you thought about it already, but if not, you might want to take into account the length of lactation, as well as when you might want your dairy animal dry. Goats are generally seasonal breeders where as a cow you can breed to calve when you want.
Hi foresters I hope you are all well, I bought goats milk this morning as a result of your video, it really tastes better than the cows I love it and much better for you, I wouldn’t have tried it until I saw your video so thank you, I am going to also do a taste test on my friends 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣 good luck stay well stay safe 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 going to try the goats cheese next and maybe make a goat and spinach tart with filo pastry
I’m all for the quality and loving thoughtfulness that permeates this visual abstraction but why oh why should a “blind” taste test take a full eight minutes. Thirty seconds is all you need and no more, taste one it’s like this, taste the other and offer a brief comparison. How hard is that, why the ample preamble and why such a need for such a vigorous description of the enigmatic qualities of the dairy.
@@FoodForesters Wonderful response, and a welcome diversion from the usual response such a question as mine would have garnered. We are all learning as we go and the quality of ones learnings matters not only that we continue to do so. Thanks again for the thoughtful and measured response, it means a lot.
Interesting video to come across. Things to consider when comparing is the amount of feed, hay, and space when comparing the two for your place.
Roe Harris all great points that we are considering.

Suzie From the block that is awesome. I’m so glad we inspired you to try something new. Let us know how you like the goat cheese
Food Foresters I will do 🙏👍🙏👍
That's a good idea to see if you like or dislike the taste. So many factors going in to that decision. Good luck!🙏
Green Dream Project thanks. I thought the taste was going to be the deciding factor. But the taste was so similar. It has made it harder to decide.
The milk will taste different according to what your feeding
The farms that we got our goat and cow milk only feed grass and hay no grains. So that probably makes a big difference.

I used to have dairy goats and would give people goat's milk from a regular milk carton and they never knew it until after they drank it,
