Thanks for forgetting to mention that the full fuse box has to be removed with all plugs removed , also the two other retaining nuts that hold the base of the fuse box at the rear , made it seem like it was straight forward but at least I got there in the end
I'm stuck at trying to push the knuckle assembly off the bottom end of the shock. The lower control arm seems to be pushed to the limit of binding on the rear lca mount so it can't come the final half inch. Hmm, edit, I got it off by using a spreader between the knuckle and the mounting tabs
How lovely when everything just pops apart without any hassle. Unfortunately this only happens in fantasy land and Haynes world. Ford engineers tried hard to complicate even simplest things. What a joke. To replace shocks you have to disassemble half of the vehicle. Who pays them money!!!
