I use to be a PI, did a lot of criminal defense work involving assault cases and found this to be a very interesting discussion. A lot of cases raised questions where details that were extremely important were ignored because there was no scientific approach to analyzing and understanding what happened. It's a lot like interrogation where you're trying to figure out whether you're hearing the truth by analyzing details of the event, It was very interesting and is some cases very disappointing when you know wrong information prevailed over sound fact that was misunderstood and ignored because it wasn't handled or analyzed scientifically. This forensics would've made a difference.
