If you upgrade every equipment in sf2 then lynx is not so hard. Sf4 arena lynx is the hardest, it has cooler abilities and depends on who is controlling, if the opponent is professional, the lynx is a nightmare. But overall sf4 arena lynx stomps.

Shogun is a herald for sure, his armor is identical to that of samurais, that belong to heralds. Not to mention he uses a katana, that is a herald weapon.

But the ability of Lynx is kind of tricky. Even now, when I play against him, I feel that it's a bit harder than playing other bosses.
