A 3D printed watch from a big brand would cost five times this price. That's what I love about independend brands: The RND comes from the watchmaker's passion and not the customer's money. Bravo!
That Bronze version is beautiful and well executed. And the copper plated movement makes it that much more attractive! But that dial is very special! Thanks for sharing these independent companies. As I never heard of before! Keep up the amazing work & content!😀
Thank you for this wonderful interview. I saw the watches about 1,5 years ago and was fascinated that it was possible to print such a thin wall thickness and finish so beautiful. I printed automotive parts in plastic about 25 years ago and remember the pain of trial / error and the cleaning work. So I have a good understanding what goes into the final product.
Really interesting coverage of the brand! Actually, the most extensive I've ever saw so far. Thanks for showing, Marko! I always like the watches they produced so far but seeing and hearing Michiel Holthinrichs visions was really inspiring and impressive! I think they're on the right track and if they keep innovating and listening to their customers, there's nothing to worry about in the future! The most impressive thing for me is that there are already so much completely different Holthinrich watches regardless of the design or case materials. There also seems to be a lot in the pipeline!
Love what you're doing Marko and by the way your Dubai coverage was by far the best, nice work. You're making the highest quality content on RUclips, watch related or not; I wish more people would see it because its phenomenal. What this guy can do with a 3D printer or what FP Journe does with a watch, Marko can do with light and sound.
I am confused. How are other watch channels getting more views? This is by far one of the top 3. I'm not being critical here. There are two others that have the same excellent content and high production quality. All three being unique and yet this one is not getting the viewership. Truly baffled. Please someone shed some light on this.
Well, youtube is a search engine beast. Brands I usually cover hardly have any videos on youtube so there's not so many people searching for them. For example Rolex has millions of searches every week versus a brand like Holthinrichs which I assume is in the thousands. I am happy though because the people who do follow the videos I make are real enthusiasts so it's a nice little club we got here :).
@@SwissWatchGang Ok, that makes sense, thank you for taking the time to explain. Others are missing out. How many times can you watch the New Submariner Review. Great watch, but I get it already. Haha.
wow, ok. this price. it's going to sell to some rich collectors for sure. but as a regular watch enthusiasts, you guys know what beauties you can buy for this kind of money, with finishing beyond what is shown here and a great movement. thanks for the video, really interesting!
Would love to hear some examples of a nicer movement finishing for this price, none come to mind and I am super curious. Maybe Laine watches if that’s what you had in mind, but same price.
Cool interview, thank you. It is good to see watchmakers take the sartorial side of their creations into considerations. There are many high end (and even beautiful) pieces that are difficult to wear.👍👍
Love your videos Marko! Your coverage of Dubai was unbelievably amazing and comprehensive! Personally, you've made me discover the beauty of independent watch brands and through your videos, it's almost as if you are looking and experiencing the watch in person. Thank you Marko, and I'm looking forward to all your upcoming content!
Great video, and really good to see some serious time and attention being given to this brand. I’m currently talking to them about a bespoke piece for a very special occasion, I really hope we can make it work!
Thank you man, you are creating history. I will never be able to purchase one of your watches but can at least love them from afar, Well done and I wish you great success.
I'm trying to figure out what movement that is in the first chronograph pictured. I'm quite sure it's a Venus movement but I can't figure out which one.
Wow!! Really appreciate this in depth review on a this independent brand. I wish them all the best. Marko, love your work man. Professionalism at its best.
Great interview. Michiel is such a devoted to his art kinda guy! With the bronze watches, I wonder if the oxidation might affect the movement eventually. If the parts become ever so slightly deformed, wouldn't it cause some movement problems down the line?
Since this is broadcasted from Switzerland and the watchmaker spoke about it such passion and what uniqueness brings... Im almost afraid to ask how much does it cost. :D Anyways a good video.
If you have a passion for horology, this is the only channel you need to watch and subscribe too. Fabulous and interesting content. I love this channel, its the best. Never heard of this brand, thank you Marko for introducing this to us. Love the design especially the lugs...
with this price, i wonder, so i have to pay for the machine and artist with skill will lost their job. But good to see some competitor in watch industry
Man, thanks for the video. It is very interesting. I appreciate the process behind the creation of these marvelous pieces. I was oblivious of this technology in horology. Kudos!
I really am not a fan of bronze cases because of the exact things he mentioned, but that dial....definitely something else. Looks amazing. Almost makes me want a bronze watch....almost...but I wouldn't be able to stand the case.
thank you for the video Marco, sorry I have to go and visit his website right now, LOL! seriously! all the best to you bro and I will be reviewing your Dubai videos. stay well. Regards, Joey
Not the value proposition it once was but still a great design. For me I'd love to see a case with thinner lugs but still in the same skeletonisd style.
That's on purpose as I explained since he likes the look of concrete but also of course because of the shape of the case. I'm sure if he wanted to he would've done it.
@@SwissWatchGang Thanks for pointing that out. It would be nice to see though what is "the best achievable" quality with this type of technology as it has many interesting benefits over CNC. All the luck guys!
I would like to see a watch that is made using truly modern technology. 3d printing, extreme precision electric cutting and assembly by a type of medical robot used for brain surgery. for less than 10k.
Far east subcontractors for all those "swiss made" watches do already exactly just that. Almost everything except the case is EDM. Milling is actually a far more adequate technology for the case.
seems like a lot of hand work involved to finish a 3D printed Case Vs a CNC machining a the Case. on a different note. how come the watch he's wearing isn't running ?!!!!. weird.
Are these even 3d printed at all? There is no way the moving parts could be made on a 3d printed or any fine part for the matter and all I saw was the body being made on what looked like an SLS machine?
I quit watching when the 300th 'like and subscribe' message popped up after a couple of minutes. Yeah we get it, you want people to like and subscribe....
@@SwissWatchGang Most folks only mention it at start and finish, not all the way through the video. Any other comments I might have are: this watch is definitely not my cup of tea. Why? Too quirky, not my style, too small and fragile for my 7.5" wrist and overall appearance. That's why I found the part of the video that I did see quite boring, more like 2 guys talking filosophy or something. It could do with a bit more pace and less talk if you want to attract viewers. But that is just my personal opinion. Others may disagree. Nevertheless, good luck 👍
Dude, its a piece unique by a small time passionate watchmaker with very limited production (a couple dozen?) and his own work on a very scarce and historic peseux movement. This isnt a hype watch but a watch for true collectors.
@@Psysso So since he make small batch and a movement from another company we should praise him? So what if it is 3D printed? It is a bad quality finish and not worth the money. If you love it so much you pay $12000 and be happy.
Holy! This is 2 years ago?! Why have I not seen more of this type of watches? They look amazing🙌🏻
That combination of mate and polishing on the case is amazing!
