This song is important.
Survivors can be angry too, being angry is a part of the healing process
It is. That rage helped me power through the first month before I shoved everything down and pretended like everything was all good. It took me so long to realise that it wasn’t just sadness that I kept choking on to the point I couldn’t breathe properly for months - that rage is still there. It’s like having something venomous and heavy living at the back of your tongue and coiling around your heart and lungs. I didn’t start getting catharsis and truly start the healing process until I started unpacking that rage instead of trying to swallow it down. It’s still a process, and it’s awful and suffocating and acrid to dive down into, but the wound lives deep in the heart of the beast and that’s what needs to be healed so that it can sleep.

There's a difference between accepting torture and fighting against torture. There's a time when to be angry and a time when not to be angry.

This song is basically conveying that after going through something like this (harassment, torture) or whatever it really affects your mental state and you would be angry too.

It's not a mistake. It's a happy accident.
This really strikes the spot. Most people are always controlled by others opinion and it hurts. Not physically but more on the personality of a person. This is not just what people call "teenage angst" or "hormonal imbalance", this is more of the unconscious and unnoticeable manipulation of people. This people who cannot stand up for who they want to be bottles rebuke of what is done to them that leads to explosive actions in the future. How sad that others mock this invisible wounds.
I think it's more about society's control and manipulation of women at the hands of men, starting in childhood. The end of the video is the ideal goal, to silence us completely. The song is essentially about if men experienced what women do throughout their lives, they would be angry, too.
However people wish to interpret it though, it's seriously amazing. I'm obsessed with this song.

As you have said that you think it is more on society's control in the hands of men, I have considered this too but it doesn't just stop there. I didn't use the word society or men because i believe that manipulation happens in any form it can.
I.e a group of people to an individual (society) or a parent to their child and a sibling to a sibling(family) , a friend to a friend, a partner to a partner, a stranger to a stranger, and other relationships existing in this world. No matter the number or gender manipulation happens.
That is why I used the word people. I hope I made it clearer but if not I apologize for making this reply long.
Working American retail, I can't help but think how we're forced to "fake happy" and not clash with the customers (at least on a level they consider "unprofessional"). Then there's so much other BS to deal with from corporate, and you're forced to deal with the repercussions because the bigwigs made choices that lead to us low-end cashiers dealing with the hostilities at the front lines. HELL! I even finished my shift, earlier, after clashing with a sketchy boy I didn't trust because it looked like he came in with someone and tried to buy beer...with only one I.D. (And I'm drop dead paranoid after working with the company for so long, that I card EVERYONE in the group if most or all of them look like they're under a certain age range.) ....turns out, even when this asshole spent a minimum of ten minutes, waiting for my assistant manager to return -- while claiming he and the other guy (who took off) weren't even together -- only to eventually turn out to be TOO BROKE to even buy a single beer....!
....gods fucking DAMN IT, I hate retail! Especially in this shit neighborhood...it's why I'm *SERIOUSLY* considering at least doing part time college classes. If I can find a way to get the fuck out of this town that doesn't require the military (I'm so unfit that I would not survive)....
...I just want a better life. Out of this ghetto, and this economically stunted town. And though I'm normally not a praying woman, I'm praying to who or whatever will listen that Round Two of college might actually help me work towards my goals.

I'm not a survivor but as a child I had (and still do) severe anger issues, that would all be fine but I was shoving it all down and not getting even the tiniest bit of help for it and this song is one of the most relatable song i've found addressing anger, its so well written and sung, the tone is just absolutely perfect for everything. As a survivor of a lifetime of this stuff, I have been repeatedly asked "why are you so angry?" , "why won't you SHUT UP about it (when I have manic episodes of bipolar and literally have no control over the graphic details coming out of my mouth for hours as I have bipolar & CPTSD as you can probably tell)"
"why didn't you call the police (lol yeah cause they really gave a sh*t the one-time I did & the UK has a less than 6 percent conviction rate)" ,
"why don't you forget about it all (even when one person involved was hanging around near my house everyday!)" ,
and told "you need to get over it" & "to forgive them or you won't get into heaven (during a 15 min rant at me - & I'm a pagan so!). And that was all just from "mental health professionals" here in England.
That's the typical responses from those in the "caring profession" here to survivors, so no wonder the general public are so dismissive/abusive towards us.
And now, for women ( mainly) who have been through horrific trauma and are given the Borderline personality disorder label here, a new initiative called #SIM is criminalizing those in crisis who ask for help - and putting them in jail. Not making this up. If you're in the UK and under MH services, please read up on this and oppose it.
I know I'm not a woman or a rape victim, But I can relate to the part about being yelled at by evangelical Christians. They want meant to be Bold, Strong, Aggressive and Fearless; Women on the other hand are told to be Quiet, Weak, Apologetic and Timid. anyone who wants to ditch that and tread their own path is told that they will be sent to hell for "wOrShiPiNg tHe DeViL" and since I already had a moral compass that clashed with Christianity, I feared that I would go to hell instead of heaven. but then I found out that my whole life was just a lie...
