The fact is, if you have parents who are domineering & controlling & you are brought up to laugh at peoples miss fortune etc, then you don't realise that what you have done is not good, & until now due to parents bringing you up & doing what they think is best is in fact unknowingly very damaging.
Homo sapiens are too complicated for me to share much of my time. It's easier to watch these two-legged beings from a distance and avoid encountering them. Being an introvert for most of my 67 years has been my protection. Stoicism teaches that you might experience horrible actions from people every day. I have no control over people or situations, but I can control how I react.
So sorry about your home and neighborhood. People are feeling care and concern for a great many people we have never met. Best wishes for a kindly landing for all.
