They all deserve our respect. Got a chance to meet Rikishi when he was part of the Samoan Swat Team. I lived in Florida so the bloodline was every where. They had live shows there in the 80s. Both Florida wrestling and wcw was huge in Pensacola. Rikishi had to do a load of laundry before the match that night. We all know that they didn't get paid much back in the day. Me and my mom we were there and Im the biggest wrestling nerd. I'm freaking out man cause I know these guys. My mom is like what is your problem. I'm like I need to go talk to those go talk to those big guys over there. She is like oh hell NO. I was 14 and going crazy in the end she let me go talk to them. They were super amazing they right in to character for me and then sign a picture for me. They were fixing to go do autographs. Some of the other bloodline lived in Pensacola around us we would see them periodically.
What made Sabu great was the stuff he was doing, nobody else was doing at the time. But then suddenly everybody was doing it and it wasn't special anymore and just got boring and routine. It's honestly part of what killed wrestling for me.
