Why Pat McGrath's sparkly shades are so insanely sparkly: she use synthetic fluorphlogopite instead of natural mica as the primary vehicle for the pigments. Mica is a naturally occurring mineral with a layered, crystalline structure that is highly reflective. When coated with pigment particles, the mica will reflect light through the pigment, bringing the color to life. Imagine shining a light on a small mirror covered in colored glass beads that magically stick to the mirror like magnets. That's basically what mica does for pigments. However, natural mica isn't perfectly transparent; it has a dingy, yellow-grey cast, which dulls the appearance of pigments. Synthetic fluorphlogopite is a lab-created mineral base (don't panic - it's biodegradable) that's structurally the same as mica, except that it's completely transparent, thus causing it to be inherently more reflective than natural mica, and it doesn't dull the color of the pigment. SF is more expensive than mica. Everyone else uses some SF for their sparkliest sparkly shades, but it's rarely the first ingredient, or if it is, it's a flutterby shadow... as in you watch it flutter by while trying to apply it. Mother doesn't hold back. Although I can't tell from the ingredients list, I would expect she's also using expensive silicone base ingredients that have a higher pigment load capacity than the standard base, which allows her to use more pigment without sacrificing functionality. It's the combination of the two: the SF with superior transparency and reflective properties that allow for more intense, vibrant and true colors mixed into a base that can hold a lot more of that superior pigment than everyone else's formula. It's not cheap to produce these palettes. She's not ratcheting up the price just because of her name; she's legitimately making superior products. I can't imagine the R&D that was done to create the perfect combination of unique shades and the base formulas tailored to optimize the performance of each eye shadow. Yes, obviously, I'm also a PMG fan-girl. :)
I agree. I think she is using quality products and spending a ton on a magnificent marketing campaign. She's not wasting money on youtuber brand trips. I have no problem with the price as long as it's quality. How many of us have hundreds of dollars of sub-par palettes just sitting on our vanities. I am willing to support Mother Pat for her creativity and care she puts into her products.
Anastacia Zara, you bring up a great point. I remember when Charlotte Tilbury first brought out her quads she explained how expensive it was developing and creating a premium product. And with these new makeup brands headed by Makeup Artists they are pushing the envelope to create products they dream of working with. For me, I consider PM a brand that equates to luxury brands such as Chanel, Dior and Tom Ford. It's just you don't buy PM in department stores. And in the country I live in I'd have spend about the same to get the same amount of product in several quads and dues or singles if I were to buy from any of those high end luxury brands. Sometimes more, and that includes what I paid for customs and international delivery. I also have palettes from cheaper brands such as Juvia's Place( which actually work out to be quite expensive to import) and although I have colours I absolutely love in those palettes, I find that their browns don't show up on me as well as I'd hoped they would- even the ones that look darker than my skin show up as transition shades on me. And that's across the board. I was tired of shades underperforming and not using colours because they looked lacklustre and therefore wasting my money, so I decided to invest. I think in RUclips culture many people are comparing things on a level field, which would make sense in an ideal world, but I just don't think you can do that if you understand the complexities of mass-production, brands that are still in an almost start up phase and the further complexities of brand name reputation. At the end of the day companies have to make money so their workers can eat and send their kids to school and so investors can put more in so they can develop new things. But, yeah this was also a fan-girl rant.
First of all, I wish I can meet you in real life to have conversations like these 😭 I can’t thank you enough for carving out time to write this stellar comment! Thank you for breaking this down, as everyone including myself appreciates this info!!! It makes us feel much better about our investments 🙈🤣
Anastacia Zara - Leave it to PML to not hold back on the quality of her shadows. And her black lacquer packaging with beveled mirror ain’t cheap either😉
You so eloquently described what I was thinking when you mentioned comments re: your review and tutorial on your last video. Your personality and enthusiasm came across to me as refreshing. Pat McGrath is in a class all by herself for all of the reasons you stated. We all have choices to make when we spend our 'coins'. The great part is our diversity in preferences does not make any of us 'less than' when make different choices. You educate, demonstrate and share your opinions and I would appreciate more looks from this palette. Btw, I think it is a plus that you have subscribers that provide you with tips and you use them. Thanks for the video!
I have all Pat McGrath palettes except Sublime & Sublime Bronze Ambition and I'm seriously considering buying those. I have bought other brands both expensive and cheaper, but I keep reaching for Mother's palettes ALL THE TIME. I experience such happiness using them every day so I really don't have a problem with paying more. Especially when I have other palettes just sitting in my drawer. To be honest, it has caused me to stop palette impulse buying when it comes to other brands. I also get a LOT of compliments when I use her shadows because they are so unique and beautiful in person. I feel like I'm treating myself and I'm worth it. I would LOVE if you did an all Pat McGrath palette video! I'm so glad I found your channel. I find you delightful and funny!
I agree!! I’m starting to spend less on other brands. Especially if Wayne Goss is coming out with his makeup line. And I also want the Viseart Grande Pro 1+2 😩
Bronze Seduction is not overhyped! It is simply a palette of art to be cherished by professional MUAs and collectors like myself that cannot get enough Pat McGrath! Oh yes, I also find Wayne Goss brush handles a perfect fit for my hand size and shape. I have multiple sets in order to have clean brushes while others are in the to-be cleaned corner. Nice job Kinkysweat!
Yaaaaassssssss! My palettes came today. Oh my gawwwwwwd! These shadows are amazing!!! Worth every single penny. Thank you so much for your videos. Now I am addicted and want more! 😂
kinkysweat facts! 😂 I just ordered Sublime! 😂 😂 😂 Pat gave me 10% off, so it's like she wanted me to have it! I'm done now, but that ND safari palette has me like 🤔 You gonna get it?
Alicia, you must be my long lost makeup twin! The explanation of your love of PML sums up my feelings perfectly! If there was a mini matte palette w/light & med shades for brow bone and transition I would be all over it❣️
Pat and Natasha create stories that set the trends. All the eyeshadow palettes released this year all followed the 2018 makeup/fashion trends so there was nothing new to offer. So when I want something unique, original and ahead of the curb, I go to them. This photos shot for this palette doesn't capture it's uniqueness. Also, their ingredients and formulas are like none other. The shimmer shadows go on like their wet. I adore them.
I think this video give me a better understanding of the eyeshadow. Don't get me wrong the last video I was ALL ABOUT OPEN IT!!OPEN IT!! Use all the shades, I want to see them. Lol all on, but thanks for coming back on. Just love Pat McGrath.
Lexilovesmakeup 12 /I got mine the other day and I drooled all over how beautiful ALL the colors looked on my skin. I ended up ordering ALL of her eye pallets except for the Decadence pallet IV, it was out of stock. Ok. Now I understand why her pallets are so expensive, its like the Lexus, BMW, Benz of eyeshadow. I’m a PML girl now. I hope they bring Decadence back!!!!
I make my own dual-phase eye makeup remover with 1 part rose water, and 1 part oil blend of Black Jamaican castor oil, rosehip seed oil, and almond oil (carrier), and I’ve seen remarkable growth in my lashes. It’s such an easy one-step process to remove eye makeup as it just melts off and condition the lashes. It’s also saved me so much $$.
OMG!! Your look is amazing♥️ Thank you for your advice on how to use some shades in this palette! And I also love Pat McGrath. Her shadows are above all other ones I’ve used. Her creativity and vision is like none other 💕💕💕
I love the blown out smoky eye! I am debating buying this palette now after seeing your creativity. I wish PMG sold singles of some of these VR and Blitz shades. They are using mica, and synthetic mica for the shades. Her formula is really unique because the sparkle is so intense.
Would love love love for you to do a video comparing the palettes. Which palettes/ or shades are best for more “natural” looks for older women? Loved this look by the way!!! The green on your cheek is GORGEOUS!!!
I can't possibly buy another palette but with your sophisticated description of your application and the shades, I know I can shop my stash. I also learned some more about how The Emily Edit shares work. I honestly am here because it's like hanging out with a smart, informed friend.
What a gorgeous look you created! ❤ You are really making me want to get it! These shadows are incredibly unique, so hard to do these days! All the shades look so pigmented and gorgeous! Do you think they would look as gorgeous on fair skin as they do on your skin tone? I mean they look indecredible on you!
Yes they would! I would go in with a bronzer shade suitable for your skin tone before you apply her mattes. They are RICH! And if you need something lighter to serve as a transition shade, then I would take that step.
I have a massive collection but very few luxury items. I'm reserving this right for PML. I will probably buy this when the next sephora sale happens. This color story is the most appealing to me along with MS3.
I have the Wayne Gods brushes and LOVE them!!! I also have the bdellium eye brush set that I bought off of Amazon and love them too!! I got the ones with the blue triangular handle. I believe the whole set has 12-15 brushes and it was about $120ish. I think you would really like them.
Also the bronze metallic shade and taupier version of that shadow in the palette applies best over one of her mattes, idk why or how but it does. You can use it dry with a brush.
I love the Wayne Goss brushes but I've recently started investing in the Hakuhodo eye brushes because they're essentially the same exact thing. All of his eye brushes have a Hakuhodo equivalent (it speculated that Hakuhodo makes his brushes) but the Hakuhodo tend to be a little cheaper. I think the Wayne Goss handles are prettier but I don't care enough about that to pay the extra money. Also, I would love to see a video involving all of the PM palettes. I think that would be super fun.
Yah those brushes get pricey. I want to try some from the Chikuhodo Z-series but I don't wear face makeup often so I don't know if I can justify it lol.
After watching your video listing your 5 favorite PMG palettes, I looked for this particular video. Now I know what to do with Gilty Pleasure and Bronze Blaze in order to make the most out of both: dampening my finger with setting spray! Miraculous, and I never would have thought of doing this on my own volition at all!
I have both WG and SG brushes. I think I like my WG eye set a bit more. They have the perfect firmness without being scratchy. I sometimes feel my SG ones are almost too dense. Depends on the texture of product you’re working with though I guess. 🤷🏻♀️
I only have one Sonia G brush and it is worth its weight in gold. It's the Worker #2. It's a dense tiny little cat's paw that grips onto the most finnicky shimmer shadow and makes it work. I haven't damped a brush or used a finger since I bought it. HIGHLY recommend. I agree about the handles though, they are kind of fat and clunky. Wayne's handles are my preference as well. The Wayne Goss 19 is my go to crease brush. I have small hooded eyes and it just locks perfectly in my crease. It also works really well to drag shadow under the eye. This was a gorgeous look! Extreme aubergine looks great on you.
Thank you for this input, Jennifer! I was eyeing that brush as well. I want to also pick up one of her blenders and big fan brushes. Xtreme Aubergine is to die for 😩
I ordered my palette over a week ago and I'm still waiting for it to arrive 😢😢 I can't wait to get it. I've been watching so many videos I can't wait to recreate the looks
I dont think there has not been as great a season of AHS as the first and second. I have to try the fire opal as highlight cause I love it on you! I love this look too Alicia! this is great for daytime too! well for me it is :) Yes, more looks with this!
I love WG brushes (have them all) but you NEED Sonia G Worker 1, Smudger 1, crease one and if you are thinking on face brushes: face one and sculpt one
Nice video! Thanks for the 2nd upload. I was in the middle of prepping my eyes and the doorbell rang. It was Mother Pat at the door! My pallet arrived. I put away the palette I was going to use for the day and (instead), I used the new Mothership Bronze Seduction. The colors are amazing! Even the foiled shadows lasted all day on my eyes. I wasn’t going to a party, but I wanted my eyes to have fun today!!😀
Over priced or not, her shadows are amazing. I plan to find a few staples that I love from her line and just save for those. I have Bronze Seduction and I love it. I have been wanting to know about her face line coming out. I am tempted to get a gloss, but I may just stick with the Fenty one. Pat’s vision is also one I’m here for :) Thanks for a great video.
I have all the mothership palettes 1-5 ... I love them all. I feel that her palettes are my best eyeshadows, formulation, color, and ....everything. To me they are worth getting if you can. I realize that price tag is not worth it for many people. If I took away the price tag and compared the formulation to my other shadows, hers is still the best. I tried this one today and it is gorgeous and very wearable. They are so different from anything I own. To me they are even better than my Natasha denona. And I have many of her palettes as well. If you love the colors and don’t mind splurging. Go for it,❤️👍🏻
Thank you for providing your feedback, Phoenix! I’m right there with you with her palettes being worth every penny. Not only is the performance top notch, but they last ALL DAY. The same sparkle factor that was present in the morning, and still alive and strong through the evening. I feel her metallic formula is similar to Denona’s. I can blend out the shades without losing saturation. I do think Pat’s have a touch more glide. What do you think?
kinkysweat yes, I slightly favor pats metallics over Natasha’s. Both are beautiful. I have noticed that pats shimmers look better as the day goes on. Like, they improve after warming up in your skin. The color looks better. It’s really unusual.
I’m a new subscriber and I love your videos! I found you by searching for the new seduction palette, and I’m glad I did! I love my PMG palettes with a passion and I think this new palette is one of my favorites out of the 4 others I own! Just got mine in the mail a few days ago and I’m living for your tutorials!!! Please do more looks and please film the PMG overall view video even though I own several I’d still love to hear your take on it all!!❤️
Omg!!! Yes please do a video or series dedicated to PML!!! I swear the smaller RUclipsrs like you, totally do a way better review and tutorial video on PML, than the big 3m sub RUclipsrs do. & yes Mothership V brought me to your channel! 🤩
Will do! I have to say: PR is great, but puts a lot of pressure on influencers to constantly fill new product. Not me! I can spend my time revisiting makeup! 🤣
Great reviews on this palette, even with the fan girl moments lol. I will like to see another look from this palette with just the topper shade and no base shadow. Pat did a glossy version on instagram and it looked so beautiful.
I just bought this palette & I have to ask before I do something stupid like call Sephora... It's Bronze Blaze supposed to feel gritty on my finger? That's intentional, yes?
Hey girl! I totally agree with you. Pats shimmers/duo chromes/toppers are in a league of their own. No other brand compares, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a Stan. Her mattes are superb as well but I know visesrt and ND also have good mattes. I hate to blend and I find that I don’t have to do a lot of blending with pats mattes, which I love. I love AHS too. My favorite season was Coven. I really miss Jessica Lange being on the show. Hotel was good too. Lady Gaga did a really good job.
I’m happy that I not the only one that thinks so! Sometimes I question myself, because I deal with a lot of makeup and might forgot some products here and there. I still don’t encounter makeup performance quite like Pat’s shadows. They are beyond! And I loved Hotel, too!
I am LITERALLY obsessed with your makeup work. Stunning! 😍. I started watching you for your hair tips and product reviews, but you JUST might get a sista to wear a bit of makeup
I have both WG (eye set) and SG (whole set) brushes. Love them both for different reasons & applications. Definitely worth trying at least a couple of the SG brushes ~ they’re very unique in shape, etc. in comparison to many other brands. Another brand I would suggest you may try is Smith - which Beautylish also offers. Love their eye brushes especially. Love your videos btw.....you definitely deserve more subs! :-)
I had a feeling this look was gonna be my favourite and boy, was I right after seeing Fire Opal in action! I spiritually KNEW you’d take my advice, it’s irresistible to put that glitter all over; I’m wearing Bronze 005 for highlight today, I don’t want to hit pan on VR Nectar already! Lmao 💖✨ P.S. You’re better off investing in the new hourglass extreme mascara than extensions, tbh. Then you can keep a variety of falsies for special occasions too! I can’t use super intense stuff like that, even the milk kush mascara made mine way too long and made a mess🤷🏾♂️
Of course! I love your ideas, and I’m happy that you share them! I was peeping the new Hourglass: I might have to try it. And Fire Opal is just UGH. Gold, teal, and everything in between!!!
YAY another Pat McGrath Bronze Seduction video!!!! My palette is coming soon (shipping takes longer in Australia!!) I love this look, I think it’s totally worth the price. It’s not your average palette, it is something special & everyone has their own thing they like to splurge on. If ours is Pat McGrath palettes then I’m ok with that!!! 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉
Omg I totally agree with you on the movie ! It wasn’t scary it was just creepy and weird and I couldn’t sleep either for 2 days ... it made me feel weird when watching it
Your reviews on PM are great, I enjoy all the insights and looks you do are beautiful. I own both the Wayne Goss and 3 Sonia G brushes. I love love the Sonia G ones. They have less splay which blends easier for me. My favorite is the worker 2 (they are less prickly-which I had a problem with some of the Wayne Goss) and the crease one is great for precise v application. Builder two is great for placing glittery shadows and smudging. Highly recommend her brushes.
I love the Sonia G. brushes, I have been slowly ordering them and I have most of the eye brushes now and a couple of the fan brushes. They are beautiful and I find myself reaching for them all the time - and I get mad when they are dirty and I can't use them! I think the brush heads are so unique and help you get the job done easily. I also have the Wayne Goss brushes and love them too. The biggest difference is that the WG brushes are your standard shapes and the SoniaG brushes are very different. If it is in your budget I would buy the Sonia G brushes. If it makes it easier, you can buy them like I did - one at a time! Michele Wang has all her brushes and she has some videos on them if you want to check them out more in depth. Have fun!!! Take care, Ginny 😘😘😘
The reason Wayne's and other high end natural haired brushes hold up better than Morphe's is because of type of hair used. Higher end brushes select a better grade; whereas, Morphe uses the hair they don't want. The hair in Morphe's brushes are probably older, brittle and weaker hairs, which can possible make them more scratchy.
After finally getting on the PM train I totally think it's worth the $! I now hesitate to buy any other pallettes because I'd rather save the money for Pat's palettes. There's no turning back now! Lol I'm addicted. Also I LOVE AHS! Season 1 is my favorite too and I love Coven! This new season is amazing!!!
Pat makes me remember why I invest in her shadows 🤣 It’s hard because I love makeup period, and I just want to try it all. In the end, Pat delivers looks and textures that elevate beyond measure.
I feel the same! I can't stop buying makeup and now that black Friday deals are coming ughhhh! It make me feel happy and pretty so its worth the money😀❤️
Hey Alicia, ( I love this look by the way🤩)I finally got to wear my PM products out of the house today! I agree with you on the shades like fire opal- they're just magical. Honestly I was having a bad makeup morning because my waterproof eyeliner (which I find essential when the seasons change and it's as dusty as it is my drought stricken part of the world) decided to go on strike and not be remotely waterproof. It smudged all over the shadow look I had created when I opened my eyes properly. Fire-opal saved the whole look when I pressed some on and then very lightly diffused the look with a fluffy shadow brush. I'm pretty pleased with the saturation and performance of the shadows, and thus far the only shadows that have worked as well on me are my viseart ones. I must say that I think that Mother's shadows are designed with enthusiasts in mind. I feel like if you're a customer that's looking to buy a palette hoping to open it and immediately be able to create looks Monday morning before work without playing around a bit, then maybe it's not for you. Personally, whenever I get a new palette with more than 4 shadows I spend an afternoon working with them and figuring them out. I guess because I'm lucky in that I have a visual arts background where I learned how to mix paints and colours and so I'm not scared of them or brushes and other tools, and my drama degrees contained courses which encouraged this too so I'm prepared in the knowledge of knowing what they can do if I have to create something on the fly or fix a sleep deprivation resultant mess up like I did this morning. I've worked with bad makeup artists and great makeup artists and I've made a very long mental list of what to do and what just won't work on my skin. I do feel like we should all play with our makeup more, but I understand that not everybody has the inclination or instincts to. And now that I've made my first PM shadow purchase I'm planning on saving for the next. I feel like between Bronze seduction, sublime and subliminal I'd have all the colours that speak to me and work on my skin tone. Oh, and if you're looking for someone with great opinions on high end brushes then check out Michele Wong's channel.
Thank you, Rosa! Yes, I agree that you need to fully enjoy makeup to appreciate Pat’s palettes. And how cool about your visual arts background! Are you planning on picking up Viseart’s Grande Pro 2 Palette!?
@@aliciaarcher The colours look awesome but I have to wait to see if it will ship to South Africa (where I'm from). Unfortunately a lot of brands themselves still don't import to us ( we can't get zoeva or Nars due to trade agreements) so one has to either get those from local speciality importers, with a hefty mark up- because people have to eat after taxes- or find a third party seller that won't run into trouble if they deliver to you. Trying to buy from Sephora or ulta is a very long-routed scheme using US PO box services. So I often buy my stuff from Cultbeauty. I have to see if they'll get the new palette in stock, but they offer a lot of great brands, have awesome customer service and often have really good discounts. And when they promote a brand they give free worldwide shipping. Plus they don't charge you UK tax if you don't live in the UK because they deduct it at checkout, so if you need to pay tax then it's only your country's tax. I found that a lot of sites charge the price that the item would be with tax, unlike what's the norm on US sites, which wait for state taxes. For me it often works out cheaper to shop on Cultbeauty than buying from the brand websites. It's complicated being a makeup lover! You get very good at calculating percentages and keeping track of the exchange rate!
Regarding brushes, I mainly use Wayne Goss and Sonia G brushes. I enjoy both because they are so different from each other, however, I do prefer Sonia G. and I only know this because I want to purchase duplicates of the builder and smudger brushes. I recommend checking out Michele Wang’s review of these brushes.
Try the Sonia G brushes, you will be really surprised at how they work. I'm admittedly a brush snob, over the years I've tried everything - all price points and there is nothing that compares to Japanese brushes. There is necessity for synthetic and I do use them, but there is no comparison when using real hair. Every time I us Sonia G's brushes I am really surprised at their efficiency and reach for them more than any of my other brushes.
I love Season 2 and Coven as well. I couldn’t finish Freak Show, and I thought Roanoke was pretty wild. Super gruesome! I wanna watch Heredity again, but I’m scared 🤣🙈
Ohh i thought the bronze shade was one of the VR shades from the thumbnail! Lovely look. Thanks to your previous video, ive been stalking pat mcgrath instagram and her video looks are pure makeup porn, especially for the VR shades 😍😍
I have one mini Pat McGrath and the quality is head and shoulders better than any other palettes i have. I tried so many other brands and always go back for Pat. I can go intense or soft, its all in the blending. What’s great is, you have total control with these shadows. Too often, what i end up with is dictated by the palette, but with PM shadows, i am the artist (i use that term loosely in reference to myself) and her shadows are my beautiful tools. Thank you for the second look! And i see the eggplant. Mel Thompson uses Neulash, which i picked up during the Nordstrom sale. I was using LiLash (pixiwoo recommendation) and it was ok. Started Neulash 3 weeks ago and already seeing a bigger difference than I did after using LiLash for nearly a year... Just a side note: Momma Pat’s vibe reminds me of Grace Jones from the 80s. On some talk show, she shared how she uses a brush to highlight her nose and top lipline with gold powder. That was the first I heard of that. And in the &0s I copied that. Grace sooo gorgeous.
You know!? Being inspired by idols like Grace Jones I feel holds more weight than anything. She was ahead of her time, and I want to be apart of that artistry. I’ve been thinking a lot about my dumb impulse buys, and I have more motivation to hold back. It’s hard because I love, LOVE makeup and I want to try everything. In the end, I have all this makeup I don’t use and end up giving away. I need to build will power and invest in makeup that truly makes a difference and is the real deal. I must MUST look into Neulash 😍
I do like how you mix it up. Colourpop, makeup revolution AND Momma Pat. I try Colourpop cuz of you, truly. But saving to get what you really want, that’s the trick to getting awesome stuff. Mel Thompson did this very subject today, high end that’s worth it. A side note: Gothmista had a make up artist on yesterday, she used the Tatcha primer mixed with lipstick for a beautiful blush effect. Wow! Whatever you do. Be you. We love you. 🤓🤗
Anastacia Zara - Who are you!!! I am your fan girl now! 😂 This was fascinating! Teacher, so finding that fascinating!
I agree. I think she is using quality products and spending a ton on a magnificent marketing campaign. She's not wasting money on youtuber brand trips. Thank you for a beautiful, insightful comment! I appreciate the feedback, and yes I’m apart of the Pat Collective FO LYFE!!! 🙏🏽💕🔥
This comment section is the best. 🤷🏾♂️👌🏾💖✨
I agree!
Thank you, Catherine!!!
Yaaaaassssssss!
My palettes came today. Oh my gawwwwwwd! These shadows are amazing!!! Worth every single penny. Thank you so much for your videos. Now I am addicted and want more! 😂
Right!? It’s an expensive addiction 🤣🤪💸
kinkysweat facts! 😂 I just ordered Sublime! 😂 😂 😂 Pat gave me 10% off, so it's like she wanted me to have it! I'm done now, but that ND safari palette has me like 🤔
You gonna get it?
Ooh I would like a Pat Mcgrath comparison video. I love your earrings they picked up the colors of the shadows. It was a perfect choice.
Thank you, Valerie!!
Alicia, you must be my long lost makeup twin! The explanation of your love of PML sums up my feelings perfectly! If there was a mini matte palette w/light & med shades for brow bone and transition I would be all over it❣️
Sheila King > ME TOO! That would be FANTASTIC!
Yes Makeup twin!!! Who knows, she might be on it 👀👀👀
Pat and Natasha create stories that set the trends.
I agree! It motivates me to stop buying so much other makeup, and just save for the good stuff!!!
I'm glad you're doing another look with this palette. I love to see the potential looks that can be created.
Pats formula is what makes them worth the cost, she seriously has the best matte formula EVER
I agree! Natasha Denona matters are feel are her only competition. They come close in terms of performance and longevity.
I think this video give me a better understanding of the eyeshadow. Don't get me wrong the last video I was ALL ABOUT OPEN IT!!OPEN IT!! Use all the shades, I want to see them. Lol all on, but thanks for coming back on. Just love Pat McGrath.
Of course, Susan! Thank you always for watching!
I ordered the palette after I watched your review. I can't wait to get it.
Where is that mailman!?!? 🙈🤣
Omg I know😭😂
Lexilovesmakeup 12 /I got mine the other day and I drooled all over how beautiful ALL the colors looked on my skin.
I’m the worst DIY person 🙈 Does your concoction remove waterproof mascara?
Love American horror story! And yes, more looks! More Pat!
Yes, breakdown of PM palettes would be awesome!
OMG!! Your look is amazing♥️ Thank you for your advice on how to use some shades in this palette! And I also love Pat McGrath. Her shadows are above all other ones I’ve used. Her creativity and vision is like none other 💕💕💕
Thank you, Helen! Pat never fails to elevate the makeup experience 💫💫💫
I love the blown out smoky eye! I am debating buying this palette now after seeing your creativity. I wish PMG sold singles of some of these VR and Blitz shades. They are using mica, and synthetic mica for the shades. Her formula is really unique because the sparkle is so intense.
Who knows, maybe eventually she’ll seek individual pans!
Would love love love for you to do a video comparing the palettes. Which palettes/ or shades are best for more “natural” looks for older women? Loved this look by the way!!! The green on your cheek is GORGEOUS!!!
Thank you! I would go with one of her smaller 6 pan palettes. They feature the metallic and matte shades that I feel are flattering.
I can't possibly buy another palette but with your sophisticated description of your application and the shades, I know I can shop my stash. I also learned some more about how The Emily Edit shares work. I honestly am here because it's like hanging out with a smart, informed friend.
Aw! Thank you, Gretchen!!! ✨
I just received this as my first mothership and I have to thank you for actually using your palettes and giving us so many looks - gracias mamita ❤️
Thank U again, love your reviews..and all of Pat McGrath's eyeshadows.
Thank you, Ursula!
Girl u are right. Mind blown! The topper shades are just.... No words.
Right!? From another world!!
It’s simply divine!!! ✨🔥💫
Yess! Please do more looks with this palette. Thank you.
I would love a video on all the palettes. I bought la vie en rose and I can not choose which of the big ones to buy.
I want to see all of the looks! I did a halo eye today with blitz flame in the center. It was gorgeous! I got compliments all day long 😁
Ooooooo! Love that ✨✨✨
I have the Wayne Gods brushes and LOVE them!!! I also have the bdellium eye brush set that I bought off of Amazon and love them too!! I got the ones with the blue triangular handle. I believe the whole set has 12-15 brushes and it was about $120ish. I think you would really like them.
Thank you for the recommendation, Rebecca!
Thank you the input, Marlana! I’ve been eyeing this Chikuhodo brush that’s $100 something and woof. But the SOFTNESS 😩
Yes!!! Would love to see a vid with detailed analysis of the PM eyeshadow palettes from you =)
Each particle has its own disco ball, its own light party 🤩🤩🤩 I hear you. The camera doesn’t quite catch the magic. Great vid🔥
Chanel brushes are the best. They clean very well too.
This was my 1st palette of Pat! I just got.mine and can't wait to play! U r funny and inspiring! Tks for your fun positive review! Yippee!
Thank you, Christie! It’s definitely proven to be one of my favs!!!
Another beautiful look! That sparkle Is so unreal🤩🤩🤩 Is this palette permanent? I want to wait til the November VIB sale to get it.
I believe it is! Decadence has been the only one thus far that has been permanent!
I have both WG and SG brushes. I think I like my WG eye set a bit more. They have the perfect firmness without being scratchy. I sometimes feel my SG ones are almost too dense. Depends on the texture of product you’re working with though I guess. 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for the input, Shannon!
Can’t wait to see what you think of Sonia G brushes. You will appreciate them because her brushes are to round out what you already have.
Good to know! Thank you, Pam!
I tried to find you’re earrings, any suggestions? You do such an amazing job on you’re makeup tuts!
ISLYNYC! There are New York based but have a website!
istillloveyounyc.com/
Hi can you tell me which is your favourite brand for eyeshadow?thank you
Esum brushes are of great quality. I have a few of their 🖌 & I feel my make-up blending is a lot better.
That’s a another brand I want to check out! Thank you for the recommendation!
So many gorgeous options! I like!
Thank you for watching!!!
Xtreme Aubergine is to die for 😩
I lied it was the "Smudger #2" not the worker. It's the one that's taglined as being for difficult shadows. Anyway it's THE best.
Would love to see a video discussing all of her pallets!
I ordered my palette over a week ago and I'm still waiting for it to arrive 😢😢 I can't wait to get it. I've been watching so many videos I can't wait to recreate the looks
Let me know when you get it, Emma! I would love to know what you think-
More looks!
Please 😁
And yes, do a video talking about all the palettes.
YES more looks using this palette please!!!!!! 😉💁✌🏼
I am so glad I found your channel!!! 💜💜
Thank you, Tina!!!!
Please, please on the Pat McGrath video comparing the palates.
I dont think there has not been as great a season of AHS as the first and second. I have to try the fire opal as highlight cause I love it on you! I love this look too Alicia! this is great for daytime too! well for me it is :)
Yes, more looks with this!
Thank you, Michele!!!
I love WG brushes (have them all) but you NEED Sonia G Worker 1, Smudger 1, crease one and if you are thinking on face brushes: face one and sculpt one
Thank you for this list!!! They’re in the basket 🙈💕
kinkysweat you won’t regret it. The Worker One is AMAZING. Multipurpose at it best
You know!!! They are so gorgeous!!!
I’m here for it. I don’t care what it is. I’m here.
Yayyy! I just got my palette today! ❤️😍🔥
Phoenix Hunter do you like it? Is it worth the money? Sorry for all the questions lol 😆
Glad you are doing this! I just finished playing with mine
I got my first palette with the special shadows. How do I use the astral ghost shade? It feels so dry.
It feels like that because there are basically mini crystals, and meant to be applied as a topper. Gently press with a finger, or use glitter glue.
Yes! I wanna see a comparison video please. 🙋🏾♀️
Please do more looks and please film the PMG overall view video even though I own several I’d still love to hear your take on it all!!❤️
Will do!!! Thank you for writing and watching!!!
I missed your dance before you start, but I'm still watching so maybe you'll do it. It makes me laugh. You are so cute! A sweetie!
Great reviews on this palette, even with the fan girl moments lol. I will like to see another look from this palette with just the topper shade and no base shadow. Pat did a glossy version on instagram and it looked so beautiful.
I need to get on that! I just want to use this palette and nothing else 🙈
I want more looks! Please do the all inclusive video
Yes ma’am!
I just bought this palette & I have to ask before I do something stupid like call Sephora... It's Bronze Blaze supposed to feel gritty on my finger? That's intentional, yes?
Yes, Bronze Blaze has a lot more glitter than her typical satin and metallic formulas!
@@aliciaarcher OMG thank you! I thought I was crazy, "this doesn't feel silky, maybe I got a defective palette" 😂
And I loved Hotel, too!
i must have this one in my collection!
It’s to die for 😩🔥
Love this eye look!! Do more looks!!
I love your personality!!!
Thank you, Liv!
This look is gorgeous 😍
Thank you!
I am LITERALLY obsessed with your makeup work. Stunning! 😍. I started watching you for your hair tips and product reviews, but you JUST might get a sista to wear a bit of makeup
Whoop whoop!!! Lessss go!!!
I love sonja g more than wayne goss by far!! Go for it!!
Lmao 💖✨
Gold, teal, and everything in between!!!
so gorgeous!
Thank you!
Thank you, Karen!!! ✨✨✨
Omg I totally agree with you on the movie ! It wasn’t scary it was just creepy and weird and I couldn’t sleep either for 2 days ... it made me feel weird when watching it
You know what I mean!? The imagery, how it was shot, and the acting was all: visceral 🙈
Thank you, Jodi! I’ll take a look at those on Beautylish!!!
kinkysweat yes, please do a review on them if you buy some. I always enjoy brush insights! You helped me get hooked on PMG. ☺️
Thank you, Ginny! I’ll take a look at Michelle’s video!
Beautiful!’
Instead of lash extensions! Do you use falsie? I just discovered your channel
I do! Sometimes they take up a little more time that I would like. All in all, Lilly Lashes are my fav as I feel they fit the best for my lash line!
Agreed, it takes lots of time. I must try the Lilly lashes. Lot your channel. I have to get caught up on all your post👍🏽💪🏼
That explains it!
Your skin looks great
Thank you!
Liking this look
Thank you, Kate!
Thank you for the recommendation!
your bone structure is amazing!😍
Thank you, Alexis!
Oooooo! I’m definitely getting a few 🤩
AHS season 2, coven.. 👍🏽
And Hereditary was creepy as heck, really good.
I love Season 2 and Coven as well. I couldn’t finish Freak Show, and I thought Roanoke was pretty wild. Super gruesome! I wanna watch Heredity again, but I’m scared 🤣🙈
Omg! I loooove this palette so much. Why don't I have money to buy it now????😭😭😭😭
I am an American Horror fan for life.
👻👻👻
SO PRETTY!!!! Use the taupe shade next time!!!!😊✌
Ohh i thought the bronze shade was one of the VR shades from the thumbnail! Lovely look. Thanks to your previous video, ive been stalking pat mcgrath instagram and her video looks are pure makeup porn, especially for the VR shades 😍😍
Ya know!? Here sped up mini tutorials are like 🤤🤤🤤
Love it.
Great review
Thank you!!!
Very pretty!!!!
Thank you, Anna!
Very curious about the topper shades. Can I justify $135 for four shadows? 🤤😏
Please do Pat comparison.
So pretty!!!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you, JoAnna!
You have a beautiful hair line.
You are so right. Like a baby who was born with a lot of hair. Hope that didn't sound strange lol
Thank you!!!
Not strange at all! If you saw my baby pics, I had a head full of hur 🤣🙈
