So am I crazy, or does it seem like Sam tends to folds easily, Ash tends to bust out early, Claptrap tends to be easily bluffed, and Brock tends to get provoked?
Claptrap is a coward who waits for a good hand, then goes as far as he possibly can with it. He's also an idiot that likes to go all-in a lot when he's behind on cash and under pressure. Sam is generally the most honest person there; he's very cautious, folds a lot, and generally only starts betting big if he's confident in his hand. Makes him a pain to take out early. Ash is reckless and aggressive, he bluffs a lot, and bets high on mediocre hands. Brock is less about bluffing all the time, and more about trying to force out people he thinks are bluffing. Which results in a lot of his own bluffing. Never get caught in a betting war between Ash and Brock. SOMEONE is going leaving the table at the end of the hand. Of course, they can all break out of these standards once in a while, and punish people who get complacent. Plus sometimes they'll change their strategy completely when they get you alone at the table. Sam gets ruthless.
@@furioussherman7265 Completely true, and I love it. Poker Night 1 was the same way. Heavy was hyper-aggressive and rarely made small bets. If Heavy went in, he went in BIG.
It's a shame that Ashley always leaves the table on the first damned hand. His conversations are some of the best in the game, and without him, it's almost nothing but Claptrap saying stupid shit.
I kinda wish there's more dialogue. It's interesting to sit there, relaxing and listening to them telling each-other stories. But why the hell are they always beating up on the player with their special privilege?
I have never played this game. Nor have I played the first. Never heard of them, either. This video just got suggested to me and I am so glad it did, this shit is hilarious lmfao
Well, unfortunately you won’t be able to due to Steam removing them from the market due to some stupid controversy. And it’s not available on any console.
“You play a lot of poker, Brock?” “Look, I know my way around a table. Of course, the stakes I play for are usually... juicier.” “‘Juicier’? Like Mookie Wilson rookie cards juicier?” “Well, "juicier" like launch codes, pinkie fingers, sexual favors, that kind of thing.” “I guess it's a good thing the stakes are so low tonight; the way your luck's been running, you'd be out of fingers by now!” “The night's still young.”
There’s also a version for when Brock’s doing well. For the line before ‘The night’s still young’, substitute in “Too bad the stakes are so low tonight; the way your luck's running, you could've been in for some smoochies!”
Probably a glitch in the game. There's still a part where GlaDOS is talking and suddenly the character model extends down-left and clips through the floor. Even had some instances of weird betting behaviour loops that needed a Ctrl Alt Delete stop process.
3:28 Something I’ve been wondering. It’s been established that Brock has a steel plate on his chest ever since HELPeR was removed. You reckon it restricts his breathing at all?
Nah, I think adding another mute character just removes a set of possible conversations to have, and we get enough mute jokes as it is with the Player.
heres a tip for you: when you have an amazing hand that you know you're doing to win with (i.e a straight, full house, three of a kind, etc), dont bet super high or else you'll scare them away into a fold. bet small amounts each turn so you keep getting more money by luring them in
Royal Flush's are exceedingly, hence why they are so powerful. The only bet stronger than a Royal Flush is 5-of-a-Kind, but that only applies if the Joker is being used. Which this case, it isn't.
It's the card they 'burn'. Upon the Flop, you put one card aside (facedown) then deal the three cards. The same for the Turn and the River: burn the top card, add the second to the community.
There's no reason to fold when you can check. Not unless you're playing against real people you can trick into thinking you have no clue how to play, anyway.
Sam plays extremely carefully. He almost never bluffs and folds consistently whenever the stakes are high. Even in one on one with him, he plays carefully. He's not hard to beat, you just have to play slowly to match him.
@@baroncosmos He can also be very lucky; there were a few times where I thought I won the hand but it turned out that he had a similar hand but one card larger than mine. Lucky lucky bastard. 💕 he'll also get a lot more reckless if you buy him a drink or he has more money to bet on. Also if he starts betting big, just fold cuz he has good cards. He can be a force to reckon with
Brock will play aggressively if you continue to be passive i.e. keep checking or making small bets. If he has really good cards and you make a big bet, he'll raise or go all in. Ash is reckless and bluffs quite a bit but he's also one random fucker. Claptrap is a little shit but does fold when he has shit cards. Sam is very cautious when he plays; he will fold if his hand is crap. But if he has really good cards and/or he has a crap ton of money, he will bet big...as well as go all in if he has really good cards. However, usually when you buy him a drink, he becomes more reckless and will start messing up a bit

Great talk ash

For those who don't get why Brock was laughing at the fact that Sam is a dog playing poker, it's a reference to a painting of dogs playing poker.

Ah! They're dogs! And they're playing poker! AAAHHH!
MintendoBrother Actually, I understand that the artist in question made multiple paintings of dogs playing poker.

lol, knocking out ash in the first round of betting was hilarious
that seems to happen a lot... Ash seems pretty reckless and goes all in with a bad hand in the first round often
It said he had a 5% chance after the turn, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out any card for the river to let him win.

After more observation:
Brock bluffs alot
Claptrap hardly ever bluffs
Ash goes all-in recklessly
Sam folds too easily
